00:24A local political party worker in Nasik
00:26walked up to the police and sent a young Hindu woman
00:28at a TCS BPO unit
00:30had started, in quotes, living
00:32in an Islamic manner. Her parents
00:34had already stopped her from going to work, it seems.
00:36Now, police did not dismiss it.
00:38They sent undercover constables
00:40in as housekeeping staff.
00:42Two weeks later, they had enough to act.
00:44Nine FIRs have been filed by
00:46eight women and one man covering alleged
00:48sexual harassment under the pretext of
00:50marriage, religious manipulation
00:52and offending religious sentiments.
00:54Seven people have been arrested.
00:55one HR manager remains absconding.
00:58So, what actually happened at TCS Nasik?
01:01The core of the case is alleged workplace
01:04sexual harassment, persistent, ugly
01:06and enabled by a power gap.
01:07Many of the accused were team leaders
01:09and many of the complainants were women
01:11aged between 18 to 25,
01:13earning between 18,000 to 25,000 rupees a month.
01:17The FIRs describe alleged inappropriate touching,
01:19double meaning comments, questions about personal lives
01:22and heavier workloads for those
01:24who did not comply.
01:25The religious angle is real and separate.
01:28One accused, a man called Tosif Attar
01:31allegedly made derogatory remarks
01:32about Hindu deities.
01:34Danish Sheikh allegedly hid his marriage
01:36and convinced a woman that he would marry her
01:38and, police say, encouraged her
01:40to follow Islamic practices.
01:41The police have said there is no evidence
01:44of an organized conspiracy or external funding
01:46that Attar became devout
01:47after a religious visit and influenced colleagues
01:50driven by personal zeal, not a network.
01:53Now, that distinction matters
01:54because the moment Muslim names
01:56appeared in FIRs, the story morphed online.
01:58It became all about corporate jihad,
02:00conversion racket, organized plot.
02:02Maharashtra BJP ministers have amplified that framing.
02:05NASCOM issued a statement today reaffirming
02:07that the industry has zero tolerance for misconduct
02:09and operates under strict workplace safety frameworks.
02:12Here's what the evidence actually supports so far.
02:15A workplace where senior employees
02:17allegedly harassed junior women over years,
02:20where HR failed them
02:21and where some of the harassment included religious pressure.
02:24That's serious enough.
02:25It does not need to be more than it is.
02:26Tata Sun's chairman, N Chandra Shekharan,
02:28has ordered a thorough probe.
02:30TCS COO, Aarti Subramanian, is leading it.

02:35The women in that office deserved a safe workplace.
