00:06tomorrow morning, it'll be during the show, I would guess, they'll unveil the 2026-2027 uniforms.
00:18And like I've been saying for well over a year now, this is going to be similar to the championship
00:26era uniforms, the similarities with what we saw last fall against Seattle, Denver, and then on Christmas Day against the
00:35Cowboys.
00:35Now, we never saw a dark jersey, a burgundy jersey, because the 91 skins wore white at home, as did
00:43every Joe Gibbs team from 81 through 92.
00:47They wore white at home after years of being a burgundy, dark jersey team at home.
00:53But what are you hoping to see? Look, I'll be honest with you. I'm not a big uniform guy. I'm
00:59a big name guy. I'm a big overall brand guy.
01:02I liked what I saw last year. It made me think like I was watching my old team more so
01:07than the absolute abysmal things they've been wearing since 2022.
01:13I've said the same thing over the last four years that I said on 2-2-22.
01:18It felt like it was an expansion team that had come into town and it had replaced the team that
01:25I had rooted for my whole life, both in name and look.
01:29But when I say I'm not a uniform guy, I'm not the guy that's going to tell you,
01:34I liked it when that stripe was a little bit more centered down the pant leg.
01:41That's for Zabe. Zabe is a uniform geek and he loves that stuff.
01:47I don't, but I know what I want to look at on Sundays when they play.
01:54I want to look at a team that resembles the team I used to root for.
01:58I would love it to come with the helmets with the old logo, but I don't expect that.

02:05But as I said to you a few weeks back, I think some sort of spear is going to make

02:53The perfect helmet that will go with it is the original helmet that we always knew and loved, except for
02:58the Wacky Wetzel logo.

03:01Because if they're serious about keeping the commanders, I do feel like a spear.

03:05That can tie into what they're going for.
03:08And as weird as a name, I'll let it go if we kick off week one, 2030, and we're still

03:14But here's what I want out of the uniforms.
03:16I want the burgundy jerseys.
03:18I want the white jerseys that we saw last year.
03:20I want the burgundy pants.
03:22I want the gold pants, and I want the white pants.
03:24I know during your era, Kevin, it was always white on burgundy.
03:27But, you know, during my era, it was white on white, burgundy on gold, white on gold.
03:31So, sometimes, burgundy on burgundy, I kind of want them to have those options.
03:36Like, you know these, I don't know how heavy you are on social media where, like, this is what we're
03:40wearing week one through week 18.
03:42They already have them lined up.
03:43Kind of want them to mix up a little bit.

03:46Everybody's got to commit to their home uniforms, you know, in advance of the season.
03:52And then based on who your opponent is, you then pick the uniform you'll wear on the road.
03:57If the home team's wearing dark, you've got to wear white on the road, and vice versa.

04:06I call those the Sean Taylor era jerseys, because I saw a lot of white on white, and we didn't

04:36And they wore the three championship era, you know, uniforms at home against Seattle, Denver, and Dallas.
04:42They've got black uniforms for the bears for three straight years.
04:45They love wearing the blacks against the bears.
04:46That's like three straight years they did it.
04:48So we would call those bears alternates.
04:50If they want to touch that up, I like that, too, because I like the blacks if they can touch
04:53it up some.
04:54Get that big, ugly W off the front of the helmet.

05:01If you tell me it's a spear, you know, like the 60s, like the pre, you know, what we had,
05:08obviously, for the two years, the R helmets on the yellow R helmets,

05:20But once those got rotated out, we got the Blackie Wetzel logo starting in 72.

06:30You know, maybe eventually it replaces what I also call the clunky W, you know, really and truly.
06:36The more they can move away from imagery from the Snyder years, the better.

06:42So, to me, I'm hoping that there's a spear helmet in the third alternate, the All Blacks.
06:47And that maybe it's a catalyst for getting us something like what Sonny used to rock back in the 60s.
