00:00But Michael, on a more positive note, when we look at what's happening,
00:04we're hearing that the US and Iran may actually resume talks again, possibly this week.
00:11Donald Trump did speak to the New York Times.
00:14He said something could happen over the next two days.
00:18But this is positive music when it comes to negotiation.
00:22It is positive.
00:22And I think it's also something that we all could have expected.
00:25Of course, as you said, Donald Trump was quoted as saying something could be happening in the next couple of
00:31days.
00:32Pakistan, we know, is actively trying to broker round two after the first 21-hour marathon session produced nothing.
00:42And Iran has also signaled that it's interested in continuing to have dialogue.
00:48Plus, we can imagine that the GCC states are working behind the scenes to make sure that everybody is coming
00:55together as they should.
00:57And I also want to make a point that in 2015, when the JCPOA was finally done, it took 20
01:04months.
01:05So, while J.D. Vance came out of the 21-hour session last week saying that there was no deal,
01:13I can't imagine that anybody is honestly thinking that something was going to come out of just that.
01:2120 months, 11 years ago, 21 hours today, it's just not going to happen.
01:27Especially when you consider that on two previous occasions, when the Iranians and the U.S. have been at the
01:34negotiating table,
01:36you know, the Iranians have been bombed.
01:38So, there's going to be some trepidation on the part of the Iranians, and rightly so.
01:43I would also want to make the point that the president is very much interested in getting a win,
01:50at least something that he can go on social media to declare that this is the best and the biggest
01:57and the most successful win that the U.S. has ever had.
02:00And that's only going to come through negotiations, because if the Iranians don't buy into whatever deal we end up
02:09with,
02:10then the Iranians can continue to threaten to send drones or missiles towards the Gulf.
02:17So, the Iranians have to be on board.
02:19That's only going to happen through negotiations.
02:22And the other thing that Donald Trump is going to have to worry about is that it's now been six
02:28weeks or so,
02:29and oil prices are going to take a little bit of time to come back down.
02:32We've got the midterms coming up in November, and the Republicans are absolutely going to get slaughtered,
02:38certainly in the House, maybe in the Senate, if Donald Trump is not able to wrap this up and bring
02:45the price of oil down.
02:50So, the other than that, we're going to have to getenergy.
02:50And we're going to just say, what if anyone else is planning to pullナ 리 каж扶 y wijze,
02:50we've got this thing that we've tried to force you to protect that there.
02:50So, it doesn't work.
