00:00I mean, dealing with Iran takes a long time, and there's twists and turns, so that's not so unusual.
00:06I think what's unusual for all of us is watching this play out in public.
00:11You know, if you were watching the JCPOA negotiations under the Obama administration,
00:16you would see some twists and turns and plays and this kind of thing.
00:21But, of course, it was done quietly behind closed doors.
00:25Instead, we're all watching this happen, getting frustrated and not understanding it.
00:29So you could call it a stalemate, but it's really a pause while the negotiators and the two nations posture
00:37right now.
00:38I think they've had some discussions, which led to having an agreement that's probably within reach,
00:44but they've reached an endgame here where they're trying to manipulate what it looks like to the outside.
00:51Trump has got a certain message he wants to look like to the American people, and the Iranians are the
00:57same way.
00:58And so I don't think either one wants to get back to war, that's for sure.
01:02I think they want to try to get past this initial talks and get into the major negotiations over uranium
01:10and this kind of thing.
01:11But they've got to look like winners, both sides, and that's why they're posturing now.
