Midwifery empowerment act pushed   Healthcare workers and government officials on April 15, 2026 sought to push for the passage of the Midwifery Empowerment Act, aimed at raising entry-level pay for midwives. During his speech at the 27th National General Assembly of Midwives in Pasay City,  Sen. JV Ejercito announced that he filed a measure aimed at providing job security to midwives who have been working in the healthcare sector for decades. He underscored the essential role midwives play in the implementation of the Universal Health Care (UHC) act, describing them as critical to achieving the program's goals. 00:56nag-fight po ako na iyong araw ng Midvifery Empowerment Act.

01:12So ito po'y panukala pa lamang sana po'y magpunta kayo sa ating pong mga hearings na sasagawa.
