00:00As we zoom in on the area of rotation, I want to loop this, and the area of rotation here,
00:05it's a little bit disfigured, but it's still present.
00:08And you can see the green versus the red.
00:10There is primarily wind moving away from the radar site on the south side, and then you can see the
00:15green moving in in the opposite direction.
00:18So there is some rotation here between Lincoln and Derryville, but as that moves to the east and northeast,
00:23eastern Grundy County and into the area right over Blackhawk County, most notably the home to Waterloo, Iowa, you have
00:31a severe thunderstorm threat.
00:33And when we look at the storm hazards, this has kind of cycled through a period of bringing large hail
00:38to slightly reduced hail size.
00:40Now it's flaring back up again, and the hail size is estimated by radar to be potentially up to three
00:47inches in diameter.
00:48Let's zoom out here and switch back over to the more familiar look of radar reflectivity, where the precipitation is
00:54falling, how intensely it's coming down.
00:56As we turn the reports on, here were your tornado reports here from that first warning.
01:02You can see that emergency management relayed reports of a brief tornado touchdown.
01:05So really within a minute or so of that tornado warning being issued, tornado touchdown just south of El Doro
01:12with damage to a building.
01:14And into an area just east of there, again, 320, same time basically, second report for the same tornado.
01:20So two tornado reports for the same one.
01:23And then also large hail.
01:24Here you have golf ball-sized hail in Wellsburg, and then New Holland posting golf ball-sized hail, ping-pong
01:30ball-sized hail into El Doro, Iowa, along with that tornado.
01:32So we didn't waste much time here in seeing our first tornado touchdown for this event.
01:38Again, the very first warning yielded the first tornado as well.
01:42It doesn't always work out quite that quickly, but we're going to be dealing with more storms that pop.
01:47And as we look into the area around the area of Clayton County, Iowa, a severe thunderstorm threat developing there,
01:53and also into an area just west of Waverly, Iowa, in Butler County, a severe thunderstorm warning moving through that
02:00area as well.
02:01We're also tracking some ongoing severe threats into Indiana and some of these areas here like Boone County moving out
02:08of eastern Montgomery County, Indiana.
02:10Also up into the area there, Cass County, southern Fulton County.
02:12We're facing a severe thunderstorm threat there as well.
02:16And as we loop this, you can see that's one of the newest severe thunderstorm watches covering Indianapolis, Bloomington, up
02:22to Fort Wayne,
02:23all the way northeast into areas near Fulton County, Ohio, and down into Henry County, Defiance County as well, Williams
02:29County.
02:29Hey, we want to take a look at what's going on through Tony Laubach's camera lens.
02:33His connection is reestablished, and here we are in Hudson, Iowa.
02:38So this is the storm that we're tracking again through this area.
