00:00I have never forgotten anything on my errand list after learning this short trick.
00:03Come on, everybody has a to-do list one way or the other.
00:07Here, my list is about packing camping item.
00:10I've added a checkbox which is linked to its own cell,
00:13and after that, I've custom formatted the cell with three semicolon,
00:17which essentially hides the value in the cell along with its associate formatting.
00:21If you're wondering how I did this progress chart,
00:23please send a request on the comment section and I'll send you the link.
00:26Now, let's incorporate strikethrough and change of font style when the item is checked off.
00:32You'll have to highlight your camping item, home style, conditional formatting, new rule,
00:36select use formula and the formula button here, you click on it,
00:40and then select C4, press F4 twice to make the column fix, equal true and hit enter.
00:46Then click on format.
00:47Under the font tab, you're going to select the font color to be gray,
00:50the effects to be strikethrough and the font style to be italic and click on OK twice.
00:54Now, whenever you check off an item in a checklist, it's grayed out, italicized and strikethrough.
