Police are tracking down a male express bus driver and a woman believed to be his acquaintance to assist in investigations into a viral video showing a dangerous driving incident along the North-South Expressway in Jasin.

00:01A shocking video making the rounds on social media has prompted police in Jaseen to launch a manhunt after an
00:07eight-second clip appeared to show a woman sitting on a bus driver's lap while the express bus was traveling
00:12along the North-South Expressway.
00:15Jaseen police say the incident took place on April 12th at around 7.30 in the evening near the southbound
00:20entrance of the Bemban Rest and Recreation Area along the expressway.
00:25Police were alerted to the footage only after it spread widely online, nearly 22 hours after the incident occurred.
00:32Jaseen police chief superintendent Lee Robert confirmed that officers are now tracking down both individuals in the video to assist
00:39in investigations.
00:40He revealed that the male suspect was aged 36 and married while the woman is believed to be his acquaintance.
00:47Investigators are treating the case under section 42, subsection 1 of the Road Transport Act, 1987,
00:52which relates to reckless and dangerous driving, and carries penalties including fines and imprisonment upon conviction.
00:59Authorities are urging anyone with information on the identities or whereabouts of those involved to come forward.
