00:02A shocking video making the rounds on social media has prompted the road
00:06transport department JPJ to launch an investigation. The clip appears to show
00:11an express bus driver with a woman seated on his lap and holding the
00:14steering wheel while traveling on a highway. The footage is believed to have
00:18been recorded by a passenger. A second clip captured by a dashcam in a vehicle
00:22traveling behind shows the same bus weaving erratically between lanes. Based
00:27on posts circulating on Facebook, the bus was reportedly traveling from Terminal
00:31Bersipadu Selatan in Kuala Lumpur to Kulai, Johor. JPJ Senior Enforcement Director
00:38Datuk Muhammad Kifli Mahasan said an immediate investigation was conducted
00:42following the viral video and that the driver and bus company involved have
00:46already been identified. He added that the driver has also been called in to
00:50have his statement taken on Monday morning. Once the investigation is
00:54complete, the case will be referred to the Director General of JPJ for further action.
