00:00Do you think Seattle adding a running back in potentially round one
00:07is something they should be open to and maybe even consider a priority?
00:13No, no.
00:15They have Charbonnet coming off an injury.
00:18I get that.
00:19But think about, I mean, because they lose Kenneth Walker,
00:24they have to draft in the first round, Jadarian Price.
00:26We have seen running backs and value of running backs anywhere from the second
00:32to the seventh round and even free agent signings come in and just, you know,
00:37make and produce right from year number one.
00:41So, again, why would you waste the 30-second pick?
00:46And, again, I don't want – it's not a knock on price in any way, shape, or form.
00:52It's just that because they lost Kenneth Walker,
00:55they're going to follow that need immediately with the running back,
01:00Jadarian Price, who runs hard and was just as productive when he was in there
01:04as Jeremiah Love.
01:06No.
01:06You would fill out the roster, other needs.
01:09I still think they need a wide receiver help outside of JSN.
01:13I still think they can draft a wide receiver.
01:15I would take a wide receiver.
01:17They need corner.
01:18Cornerback is available.
01:19I mean, why draft a running back 32nd overall to me as a waste?
01:27So, I think it's very difficult because I think Jadarian Price is pretty much seen
01:35as the second best running back in this class.
01:38I think it can be hard to know exactly how good Jadarian Price is due to the fact that
01:45his teammate is going somewhere in the top seven, which is a very – I mean, Joe, again,
01:53you go back much further than I do with the college football, you know, Rolodex.
01:58How many times has a team had two running backs potentially be the two best backs in a class?
02:03Or, you know, two of the three, two of the four best backs?
02:06You tell me.
02:06I don't know.
02:08Well, I mean, you could go back.
02:11Was there an Oklahoma team, a Bama team?
02:13Like, just – I don't know.
02:15I mean, I would have to think back two top running backs.
02:20I mean, not really.
02:22Not that I could think of.
02:24You know, I mean, McFadden and Felix Jones, you know, that crew.
02:28Yeah.
02:29I think, you know, McFadden, that was 2005.
02:32You know, I mean, McFadden and Felix Jones.
02:37You know, but here's the thing.
02:39You see, I get that.
02:41But I just wanted to take a look at who's available, okay,
02:46because obviously so many players, right?
02:48You're telling me, Kev, now my guy Mike Washington,
02:53is there, right?
02:54I was very high about Mike Washington.
02:55Yep.
02:56But Nick Singleton is there?
02:57You're telling me that with that offensive line,
03:01if you're going to take Jadarian Price,
03:04you can't potentially get the same type of productivity
03:07with Mike Washington or Nick Singleton, you know,
03:11splitting time with Zach Charbonnet?
03:14That's my point.
03:15It's not like I need Jadarian Price at number 32.
03:19It's not Saquon Barkley we're talking about.
03:23Well, I just want to say, again,
03:26the encyclopedia of college football, I think our guy used to say,
03:30Darren McFadden went fourth in 2008,
03:33and Felix Jones went 22nd.
03:37There was one running back actually in between them
03:41in Jonathan Stewart.
03:43The 2008 draft.
03:46Oregon 28.
03:47Yeah.
03:47Big Carolina Panther player.
03:49I loved him.
03:50Split time there.
03:51So, okay, so you're talking, by the way,
03:53that means nearly 20 years since we've seen.
03:59And my thing is taking a running back in round one
04:02can be difficult to justify.
04:04You're taking a running back who is coming off of a season
04:07where he had more than 10 carries six times, five times,
04:12five times.
04:14Like, and I'm not, by the way, I'm not downplaying Jadarian Price.
04:18The reality is it's like, yeah, I don't really know
04:20what I'm supposed to do with that.
04:22Jadarian Price caught six balls this year.
04:25Do I think Jadarian Price can catch the football?
04:27I do.
04:28Do I think he was given any opportunity to do that at Notre Dame?
04:31Not really.
04:33Jeremiah Love's incredible out of the backfield catching the football.
04:36Like, Notre Dame was either up by too much to run Price that much
04:39or not up enough where the ball was still going to love.
04:42So, it's this very interesting blend.
04:45But, but, but, Seattle loved running the football.
04:49Ken Walker's a chief, and Charbonnet blew up his knee.
04:52So, at some point, they're going to look to add running back.
04:56I mean, that's just the reality for Seattle.
04:59We'll see how it plays out.
05:01We'll see you next time.
