00:06Super Bowl it's behind you know best in the NFC it's behind both the Ravens and the Bills the

00:10Eagles and so look it's not as so many of these repeat hopefuls you know fall into this category

00:18it's not a team that has a lot of question marks going into a new season mostly running the same

00:23crew back especially at the most important positions and coaching staff and all of that

00:28but what's the vibe in camp what are expectations for the new year all right Adam a couple things

00:33here off of what you said we'll get into your question so you know it's interesting the Eagles

00:37had the shortest odds to win the Super Bowl to be a back-to-back champ but it's changed over the last

00:43like three weeks I don't know if it's a Jair Alexander signing by the Ravens that kind of

00:47surprised me I'm not sure if it Von Miller is no longer with Buffalo so it had you know he's got

00:52with Washington it's very odd that Buffalo would move ahead of Philly but getting to your point

00:57which is the way we're setting this up which is the perfect way to do it things have changed with

01:01Philly Adam when you look at the Eagles yeah 10 of their 11 starters are back from the Super Bowl

01:06team but they're going to have at least five new starters on defense and also Adam they're the

01:11youngest team in the National Football League on defense for many years they were top five oldest

01:15now Brandon Graham is retired yes he's definitely retired I spoke to Brandon not too long ago he's

01:21definitely retired Darius Slay was cut the oldest starting corner of the National Football League he

01:26turns 35 35 in January so yeah they've gotten really young they've got all these changes they're really

01:33coached by Vic Fangio sort of a Hall of Fame defense coordinator but they're young and I could certainly

01:39see why you would pick the Ravens I could see why some not just odds makers but the money now is being

01:45put on the Ravens a little bit because they have a great roster whereas Philly okay and arguably NFL's

01:51best roster last season but they've got a lot of changes that would concern me if you're putting money

01:56on Philly you know we talk about it this time every year the fact that it's been now more than two decades

02:03since we have seen a repeat champion in this division in the NFC East it's easy just based on talent to

02:11to look at the Eagles and say sure streak ends they win you know we're looking at right around

02:16minus 135 favorites not overwhelming there's respect there to the commanders and Jaden Daniels and what

02:22that rookie did last year in his first NFL season and you know far exceeding everybody's expectations

02:28Washington across the board but you know how seriously should we take Washington at as you see

02:34plus 210 to win the division yeah look you got the McLaurin situation I could tell you that people

02:40have looked that team for me tell me there's no way they could replace McLaurin they know they have

02:45to get a deal done they're not there yet uh so one way or the other we expect them to be on

02:50Washington this season but you know Washington you know talking to them Adam their offseason was

02:56devoted to what building around Jaden Daniels drafting with Josh Carnley who was a left tackle at

03:01Oregon he's going to play right tackle the trade and they gave up a lot to get Larry Tunsell

03:05they're going to move Brandon Coleman in the guard who started left tackle last season they knew he

03:09wasn't a left tackle at this level so he's moving inside the guard so they're actually a better depth

03:13because some of the guys who are starting are not going to be backups so their offensive line is

03:16coached very well by Bobby Johnson uh they're going to be fine there it's and and why do they sign

03:21Von Miller pass rush not good enough they have enough players it's not about depth where's the

03:27high-end pass rusher for Washington that's the one thing you have that if you're really studying

03:30Washington's roster closely like I do and others around the league do um that's a problem they have

03:36it's not having available players it's who can get the quarterback consistently because you saw

03:40that against Philly in the playoffs Eagles boat racing they just couldn't get there but Washington's

03:44going to be right there now and you mentioned the futility of the NFC East I know what you're

03:51talking about no one has won it since 0-4 back-to-back the Eagles won four in a row 0-1 through 0-4

03:57no one has won it back-to-back in the NFC East that's why for many years Adam you know it's funny

04:02I used to call it the NFC East because this is when you couldn't find anyone who's really very good

04:05Giants have fallen on hard times as you know Washington under the former owner Daniel Snyder

04:10a couple decades mostly futility Cowboys very inconsistent and then you had the Eagles

04:15very up and down but now they're the elite three Super Bowl appearances in the last eight years

04:20when you're on the other hand you had the Eagles and you have the Eagles on the other hand you

04:24have all the players to be able to watch this yourself and then you imagine you'll see

04:26if your super-al Rapid attack and you have to die before you want to see you

04:30that the Eagles will be hard to be able to watch the Eagles and you feel like these specials

04:34your team is just so cool and you don't have to watch the Eagles you lose it all this hotel

04:36you can see you'll be able to wait and see you there for a couple decades
