WITH VID
BY JAIANSH SHARMA
Check out the dramatic moment a rare tornado forms and sweeps across agricultural fields near the India-Pakistan border.
Nitish Pal, from Jammu, India, filmed the rare weather event in Pargwal, Jammu, on April 11, 2026.
The rare meteorological event, captured in the rural outskirts near the international border, shows a violent, rotating funnel of dust and debris sweeping through harvested fields under dark, heavy storm clouds.
The footage begins by showing a massive, swirling column of dust rising from the ground as strong winds tear across the fields. As the camera continues to roll, the rotating vortex intensifies, forming a distinct funnel that stretches from the sky down to the ground.
The powerful tornado moves across the rural LANDSCAPE.
Nitish said: “This is the first time I am seeing something like this in Jammu.”
