00:45Now I've long known for the agriculture but there's a younger generation that's moving into this area that loves it for the lifestyle.
00:52And that is definitely the outlook of today's young couple who are looking for a little bit more space for their young family
00:59to move into.
01:00They've got a great budget, round about a million dollars.
01:03But can I get them to move a little bit further out of town?

01:13Brendan and Brianna, this will be easy.

01:18So tell me, what is it that brings you here to Horsham?
01:23Because I know this area for its agriculture, fantastic farming region, but the lifestyle here is pretty darn amazing as well.
01:31What is it that you love here that's hooked your heart?
01:35We've been married for coming up seven years.
01:40We both own businesses in town.
01:42We've got three kids, five and twins of the three.
01:46Yeah, life's pretty hectic.
01:47Life's pretty chaotic at this point between the businesses and kids.
01:51We're full on.
01:54I own a truck parts spare business.
01:57It's a family business that I took over from my dad by working here with him for about eight years.
02:01And you started yours?
02:03Yep.
02:04So it's a holistic haven, so it's a wellness business.
02:07So looking at alternative therapies to look after your wellbeing.
02:11There wasn't options for especially flotation therapy.
02:15And I was traveling three and a half hours to the closest place.
02:18So I just decided that that would be something I would love to open and offer to the community.
02:26So having that in this space and the opportunity to do that here has been amazing.
02:34I was born and bred here in Horsham.
02:36I grew up, went to school here.
02:37I spent a lot of time away where I met Brianna.
02:40But then, yeah, opportunity to work here in the family business.
02:43And I brought Brianna and she seemed like a nice place.
02:47And it turned out that, yeah, she was spot on.
02:49And since having kids, it's a perfect place to have a family.
02:52There's so much to do for, no matter what age you are.
02:56Our current premises is just on the edge of the CBD.
02:58So we're really close to town.
03:00We walk into the local cafe every weekend with the kids.
03:03A 30 second drive to work, both of us really.
03:05So we're really close to where we need to be.
03:08But again, it's on a street.
03:10It's a small block.
03:12Not a whole lot of space for the kids to run around just yet.
03:15It's busy, near the railway, trucks.
03:17Yeah.
03:18A quieter place would be really nice.
03:21More space.
03:22And yeah, more space for the kids to grow up into.
03:28Horsham is a three and a half hour drive northwest of Melbourne.
03:33It's a vibrant regional city known for its agriculture, manufacturing and retail industries.
03:40With a strong community spirit and a growing economy, it is no wonder why our buyers have chosen to raise their family in Horsham.

03:53Four bedroom, two bath, two living, ideally.

03:58We need a kid's lounge room and mum and dad's lounge room would be ideal.

13:29This property is quite different to the other ones that I've shown you as well.
13:33It's over a hundred years old, so loads of character, period pieces galore.

17:33I really just wanted to ask, what brings you here? Are you born and bred?
17:39He is. I'm a blow-in.
17:41And did you blow in for love?
17:42Oh, yeah.
17:43Standard.
17:44What did you think when you first came here?
17:49I really liked it. It's...and I still do. Like, it's just a very nice community. Like, it's a nice place to live.
17:56I just didn't know the waterways were so gorgeous. This is...this is so lovely.
18:01Yeah.
18:02Yeah, it is. It is a really nice place to be. Like, there's...the waterways have been really well developed over the last couple of years.
18:09There's lots of walking tracks. Like, you can go from...you can do a really big loop. You can walk, like, 10 k's, I think, all the way down one side, loop back, go all the way back the other side to where you came.
18:19So that leads me into thinking that the lifestyle here is pretty darn remarkable.
18:23Look, such a friendly, casual atmosphere for things and probably because...or partly because of just that five-minute commute to wherever you want to go or a walk or a bike ride to friends' houses and just things stay a little bit more relaxed.
18:39And I'm finding here people don't talk about the city at all. Life is really lived around Horsham, isn't it? Everything that you need is here.
18:48For a population of what it is, around the 20,000, I think, for town itself, it has a feeling of being bigger in some senses than what it is.
18:57But then it still retains that country town feel that it really is.
19:01After exploring three totally different homes in Horsham, it is now time to catch up with Brianna and Brendo to see if they have made a decision.
19:12What a gorgeous area.
19:17The lifestyle here is amazing.
19:19Yeah, it's really, really nice.
19:21And, yeah, all the changes, the recent changes happening here make it more accessible.

19:34Was there one that you could say straight away, I can let you know now, that that was not a contender?
19:42I reckon the house would be number three.

19:45Just because of the extra distance.

19:48The house itself was good, but the extra distance would have just made life a little bit more complicated.
19:51It was just that little bit further out.

19:54And that's the great challenge of that home.

19:58You've got the character, you've got the period pieces.
20:01But for people who are working in town with children, can I do this?
20:06So I think that's fair.

20:27And exactly the price surprised me.
20:28So the space and what we had was, yeah, for that money.
20:31I was really, really interested in that.
20:34So was that the standout for you or what about number one?
20:37I think so.
20:38I did like number one.
20:40Probably a little bit more work involved.

20:43And coming out of renovating now.
20:46And also having stairs.
20:48Oh, that's right.
20:49So it had that one small staircase.
20:52It's a different layout than what we have now.
20:54But I think still, yeah, just the stairs and the work that needed to be done.

21:03We might take some time to think about it a bit more.
