00:01Sorry, I'm late. It was Shohei Ohtani bobblehead night, and it was chaos at Dodgers Stadium.
00:06The line, eight hours long. Where were we? Oh, yeah. Is it time to start the show?
00:13What's going on, everyone? I'm Abby Labar, and welcome to Quick Pitch, presented by Harbor Freight.
00:18Hey, happy to be here to celebrate the end of a work week with you guys. But fans in L
00:22.A.,
00:22they clocked out early, 11 a.m. early. Everybody wanted to get their hands on
00:27another iconic Ohtani bobblehead. You'd think on his seventh bobblehead night,
00:31the demand wouldn't be as high anymore. But nope, not for a once-in-a-lifetime player,
00:35and we'll take as many as we can get. Good news for fans is they get to go home with
00:39a souvenir
00:40and good memories, being that in his previous six bobblehead nights, he's batting nine for 24
00:44with four homers and nine RBI. What else can he impress us with? It's Rangers-Dodgers as seen.
00:51Max truly is, dare we say it, Muncie TV. He went deep three times and hit the walk-off shot
00:57against the Rangers. He is one of just six Dodgers to have multiple three-homer games.
01:02And guess what? Three of the six hitters on this list played in Friday's contests.
01:06Muncie is also the second Dodger ever to have a three-home run game and a walk-off bomb in
01:10the
01:10same game. It's great. A reminder of success in a Seattle uniform. The stage was set for a perfect
01:17night at T-Mobile Park as the organization honored Ichiro Suzuki. On Friday, outside of the park,
01:22his official statue was set to be unveiled, standing tall with all of its glory. Just the
01:28magic that the Mariners need right now. Until the cover came off. High expectations were quickly
01:34broken. Literally. Ichiro's bronze bat was bent upon the reveal. Ironic, considering this
01:40disappointment feels all too familiar for Mariners fans. The bent bat seemed to symbolize the lopsided
01:46stats of Seattle's actual big bats. Cal Raleigh and J-Rod are batting just 143, while Josh Naylor
01:52is batting 104. But if Ichiro has taught us something, it's that the sky's the limit. So
01:57can the Hall of Famer's presence help spark a resurgence for the M's?
02:02A Soler eclipse was spotted in Cincy. Highlights from Angels Reds next.
02:08Pirates won the game, but that was in spite of Shota Imanaga's dominance on Friday. He struck out
02:14nine over six no-hit innings. The Cubs' lefty now has a .28 ERA and five career starts against the
02:20Buccos. He's scattered just 13 hits over 32 innings in those outings. Even asking for their
02:26jacket to bring some? Well, have no fear, Toronto fans. It worked. Highlights next.
02:32Out of this world. How awesome is this? During the Mets game, Citi Field put up a live shot
02:37of the Artemis II astronauts returning safely to Earth. Look, I don't know much about space,
02:43but what I do know, one of the astronauts, Christina Cook, is a fellow NC State alum.
02:48Hey, while me and Dan Plesak are out here on television just yapping about launch angles
02:52of baseballs, she's literally entering orbit. Way to represent us little people, Christina,
02:57and the rest of your Artemis II crew. Congratulations, guys. You know, I wonder if they can watch
03:02Quick Pitch up there. Meanwhile, you guys can watch Quick Pitch again on Saturday. We'll see you then.
