00:00So in true Blue Peter fashion, here's one someone else made earlier.
00:04How do you make a carbon bike?
00:05This is a series where we reveal the secrets of producing World Tour level bikes.
00:10Part 4. Layup
00:12It's time to start making your bike look a bit more like a bike,
00:15and that means laying up all 304 pieces by hand with millimetre precision.
00:21The bike is built around this foam form, and this document is the instruction manual
00:26for what order each piece needs to be added in.
00:29Once complete, the frame is locked so they know when, who and what carbon sheets were used
00:34to make it, and then it's weighed. This one is 750g, including that foam insert,
00:40which will be removed after the carbon has been cured.
00:43Make sure you give us a follow to see this one go in the oven.
