00:04Chris, just congratulations on the new role.
00:06What's today like?
00:08What's this week been like kind of changing on a day-to-day, I guess?
00:10Does it feel different to you?
00:11No, it's not a whole lot.
00:12You know, the biggest thing is just organizing the staff
00:15and organizing the unit meetings and the install calendar.
00:18So just organizing the day-to-day operations with the players
00:21and the coaches, and other than I'm still coaching the position,
00:23still working with my guys,
00:24and just got a few more obligations, I guess.
00:28All right.
00:30You take over a defense that has been among the best in the nation
00:33over the past couple of years.
00:34How do you strike the balance between wanting to put your stamp on things
00:37and also not upset the apple cart?
00:40Yeah, I think we can get better.
00:41You know, I think we can obviously grow, right?
00:43We haven't got to where we want to go.
00:45We've been good on defense.
00:46We want to be elite.
00:47We want to be the best.
00:48We haven't been the best.
00:50We've been pretty good.
00:51So I think there's room for growth for sure.
00:53So putting my stamp on it is really not about me.
00:56In my opinion, it's just about, you know,
00:58tapping into the players and putting the players in position
01:00and evaluating our talent
01:01and how can I utilize our talent
01:03and put guys in the right position to make plays
01:06and how can we make the complex simple,
01:08do the things that put our best players in the field
01:10to do what they're good and go make plays.
