00:08Alright, I'm in the Piedmont area of North Carolina, Burlington, North Carolina.
00:15And if you want to talk about Piedmont hot dogs, you're talking about Zacks.
00:22They've been here since 1928.
00:24Now they've gone to a couple locations here, but they've been serving hot dogs.
00:29In Alavance County, in fact, they're called Alavance, hot dogs.
00:34And they've been here for almost 100 years.
00:37What better spot than the other one?
00:41It's here, this time is a place to live up to my standards.
00:45We made it!
00:46Can we go again?
00:47Can we, can we, can we please?
00:54Shut up, you can just have it.
00:56I don't understand why you get stuck in a, I'm filming a vertical.
01:08I'm trying to get it to go to horizontal.
01:10That's so weird.
01:19All right, now here they serve Curtis hot dogs.
01:23Nicely grilled, you got the little grill marks.
01:26Bun is feels nice and warm and steamed.
01:28Bun to dog ratio.
01:30It's okay, it's on point.
01:33But let's see how these hot dogs actually taste.
01:44Decent snap.
01:46A mild hot dog taste.
01:51I'm going to give this a double.
01:53Right, here's the chili dog.
01:55First thing I notice, they do have the, the sliced cheese.
02:00I always don't think that's ideal for hot dogs, but the chili has no beans.
02:07And you know, hot dogs, chili for hot dogs should have no beans.
02:13And this looks, this looks perfect.
02:16They use their own recipe.
02:17This place has been owned by the same family for multiple generations for nearly a hundred
02:24years.
02:24But let's see how the chili dog tastes.
02:38Very mild chili.
02:41Decent taste.
02:44This is also going to get a double.
02:48All right, we got a chili dog here at Zach's.
02:51Famous place here in North Carolina.
02:54Bun to dog ratio looks okay.
02:56The bun is a bit soggy.
02:58I like my bun to have a little bit of crisp to it.
03:00Let's see how it hurts the hot dog.
03:01And it also looks a little orange like the next.
03:10Snap isn't quite there.
03:13Bun isn't quite there.
03:15But the doubles in detail, the ingredients are there.
03:19This is a line drive to right field that is misplayed.
03:25It turns into an inside the park home run.
03:32You know, this is a great place.
03:35You know, they've been around forever.
03:39And you know, great customer service here.
03:42Very friendly.
03:43You know, they've had a couple locations.
03:46They recently renovated it.
03:48Might have changed up some of the old feel to it.
03:51It feels like a newer place now.
03:54But it's still got the same charm.
03:56And Zach Hot Dogs is a legend.
03:59So if you know any other place I can go, let me know.
04:02Email me.
04:03NKTank99 at gmail.com.
04:06DM me.
04:07Tell me anywhere.
04:08Because you never know about this show.
04:09Even here in North Carolina.
04:13Keep broad-dogging.
04:15Take me out for some hot dogs.
04:19Get me one that's only plain.
04:23No mustard or ketchup.
04:26I'll know what the dog is really about.
04:29And it's hope that this is a good one.
04:33Maybe a home one or a double.
04:36But if it sucks, it will be a strikeout.
04:39And not worthy of my taste buds.
04:42Ha, ha, ha, ha, ha.
