00:00What age do you think kids should get on social media?
00:02Is this being picked?
00:03No, the five cameras around here are just sitting off.
00:08I don't think younger than 12 should be on social media.
00:12I think it's very poor influence, especially for girls.
00:15I think they start looking at people who are on it
00:20and try to imitate them and it's not fair.
00:24And they body shame or they say,
00:26this one's prettier than I am.
00:27And their self-image goes down.
00:29I know it's very difficult because I think most parents,
00:32including my own children, give their children the phone
00:35because they need to have their phones as safety issues.
00:38So it's very hard to say you can carry a phone
00:40but then not look at it.
00:41But I know from experience that children need to feel good
00:45about themselves and I think a lot of social media
00:48does not allow the child of 12 or 13 to feel good.
00:53Did you have social media when you were?
00:54I got a phone, I think around 13, 14,
01:00I got like a pink razor flip phone,
01:03but there was no Instagram or TikTok.
01:07I think I started using Facebook,
01:10but there was just not that culture around it
01:12where people were like commenting negative things.
01:16There was no people with major followings.
01:19So it was really just when you hung out with people,
01:21you posted pictures and I had a little bit of FOMO sometimes
01:24if I saw people went to a party.
01:27Today I think there's a serious issue
01:28and I'm so glad that a lot of the schools
01:30are making the children put their phones away,
01:34put it in a locker of some sort
01:35and then they get it when they are leaving school.
01:38Modern problems.
01:39Classic solutions.
01:40Got a situation?
01:41We've got opinions.
01:43Send it in.
01:43I don't know.
01:44I think that one is true.
01:45Don't
01:45don't tweet at the top of the top.
01:45See you then?
