00:02A free lunch for seniors and a rare chance for a dance.
00:16This special celebration, just for older Territorians, is hosted every year by a community group,
00:23the Kalimnian Brotherhood.
00:24We treat them like family, put it that way, so everything's free for them.
00:28Drinks, food, there's a lot of entertainment for them,
00:31which they can't wait to come and they start their ballroom dancing
00:35and they sit on the dance floor with their wheelchairs
00:38and wiggling themselves as much as they can.
00:40What do you like about ballroom dancing?
00:42Well it's slow, very romantic, I can hold my wife closer.
00:47For the Greek Orthodox community, Holy Week is about to begin,
00:51with Easter Sunday celebrated next weekend.
00:54For this event, local families have been working hard behind the scenes to prepare the food.
01:00They always put a lovely spread on at the hall here.
01:05And Darwin is a cultural place to live in because you've got everyone here, all nationalities.
01:11I like it because we get together and there's a lot of dancing going on.
01:16There's a lot of cultures coming in as well.
01:18And they do their own dancing to help the people, it's brilliant.
01:23Some residents turned up to celebrate Easter Sunday, others happy just to be out socialising with friends.
01:29It doesn't have to be religious, it's really celebrating friendship, food and getting to know other people.
01:42And the company, good company, and just seeing a lot of people here enjoy themselves.
01:47The kind of celebration these seniors can't get enough of.
01:52The first time we get up is the next time we get to talk about the people,
01:57You
