00:00Growing older doesn't have to mean slowing down, and 79-year-old Linda Oon is living proof of that.
00:11A former secondary school teacher, Oon has transformed her retirement into a lively new chapter
00:17filled with rhythm, movement, and a growing community of seniors who look forward to her
00:23line dancing classes. When she retired at 55, she found herself drawn to the dance sessions
00:31her sister often attended. Oon then discovered her talent for dancing, and when the group later
00:37faced a shortage of instructors, she became the natural choice to step up. Today, she leads nearly
00:4380 dancers across several sessions at the Church of Our Mother of Perpetual Help in Ipoh. She also
00:49teaches twice a week for free at a senior citizens club in Bercham, which has about 500 members.
00:56For Oon and her students, the benefits go far beyond physical fitness, as the classes have
01:01become a source of companionship and joy, especially for retirees who often spend long hours at home.
