00:44Yeah, it's very exciting, Alex Hales comes in to open the bat
00:47in a very strong Orthodox play, he'll hit the ball down the ground
00:50Joss Butler from Somerset, a real promise here, it's the ball 360 degrees,
00:54he's got the Dulcian scoop, he can hit it out the ground
00:57so it's really exciting to see two new faces in the England line-up.
01:00Only two players are over the age of 30, Kevin Peterson and Graham Swan
01:03we've got a few around the 26 mark and as you say a couple early 20s
01:07so that is exciting for England. What about India? They've got to lift themselves.
01:11Yeah, but I've watched them in warm-up and the first time this summer
01:13I've seen some energy, I've seen some excitement, they were buzzing around in fielding,
01:17youth on their side, a lot of the senior players are at home with injuries,
01:21this should be a better format for the Indians and they've got lots of support at Old Trafford
01:25and it should be a good day for them.
01:26Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli, a batsman to watch, India have won the toss
01:31and they've chosen to bat first, unsurprisingly.
01:34Sachin Tendulkar doesn't play in the T20 international side.
01:37Our Ashwin, good off-spinner, isn't he?
01:39Yeah, very, very good. Again, whether it's just the format or the fact they've got the blues on,
01:44they look like they've got more energy and Ashwin is an outstanding young off-spinner.
01:48I'm really looking forward to this contest.
01:49Two young teams who will play it probably as hard as we've seen it all summer.

26:54yeah that's a ripper and he is devastating offside which is why you have to protect it
27:02and really you've got to fire the ball in at his toes can't afford to give this guy any room

27:11now this could be a critical period of the match a bowler probably new to many English viewers
27:16Ravi Ashwin the off spinner for Chennai Super Kings amongst others in the IPL
27:21very crafty bowler surprising really that he wasn't selected for the main part of this
27:27tour of England
27:29is very deceptive off spinner with interesting variations
27:36and Peterson picks him off straight away for four over square leg
27:40he's seen him before in the IPL himself
27:45well this is clever batting because
27:49because there's only two men allowed out that circle down he's brought the sweet man up
27:52so there's two men on the ring there so he's just had the opportunity to just
27:56throw the hands at the ball and just release it over those fielders
28:03there goes Peterson over mid on
28:07he's been eyeing up that possibility
28:12the power play over now for England and they're actually exceeding the the level that India sustained
28:22oh but it's just been scuppered
28:25keys weather drives the ball straight short extra cover
28:32yeah you think it's a poor shot but you've got to give the ball the credit
28:35mother Patel here just releases the ball a nice slow ball just rolls his finger across the scene

30:00very unlikely way to go but brilliant work by Dhoni I wonder if that was planned
30:06and just look at those celebrations from the Indian players they know that that's the big wicket
