00:00Things have really ramped up here with a tornado threat in the neighborhood, Aaron.
00:05Yeah, this behind me here is a tornado-worn supercell right now,
00:09and it has a big, broad rotating base, rotating like this right now.
00:13It has been tornado-worn for quite some time, about the last half hour at least,
00:17as that tornado-worn has been carried off to the northeast here with it.
00:20And we had a couple of cells that moved up to the south that kind of merged into it,
00:24and I think that's kind of over with now, and it's kind of reorganizing,
00:27and I'm wondering if that warm front has lifted a little bit north now.
00:30For a while there, it looked a little cold.
00:32Again, maybe it had gone north of the warm front, but it does appear to be ramping up right now.
00:36I'm hearing a lot more thunder, seeing a lot of lightning bolts now,
00:39and it has got that big, broad rotation.
00:42So this is a dangerous supercell.
00:43It's approaching Green Valley, Illinois.
00:46I'll probably be going through that Green Valley area in the next 10 minutes or so.
00:49So take cover if you find yourself in the path.
00:52Multiple storms going up along the warm front tonight,
00:54so a very dangerous day, evening, across the Midwest.
00:57Back to you, Jeff.
00:58All right, Aaron, we appreciate that report there.
01:00You can see Green Valley right in the throes of this storm here
01:04as we take a look at this overall.
01:06The tornado warning that year, a new one issued until 6 p.m. Central Time
01:09for Tayswell County, far northeastern parts of Mason County as well.
01:12And as we take a look at the area of rotation,
01:15the green inbound, red outbound,
01:18here we are with a zone of rotation moving right through this area
01:22approaching Green Valley.
01:23So as we loop this, you can see the trajectory through which this is moving.
01:27Green Valley is going to be real close to this one.
01:30And again, areas near Winkle.
01:32It's going to probably favor the southern half of our tornado warning
01:35as issued by the National Weather Service for the movement of this.
01:38So Green Valley, Winkle, Delavan, Brownwood,
01:40and areas on the north side up into Parkland and South Peck
01:44and play it safe to take shelter,
01:45mostly concerned about areas around Green Valley
01:47and points south into Tayswell County.
01:49The intensity of this rotation here, 32-mile-per-hour winds inbound,
01:5345-mile-per-hour winds outbound.
01:55So for today, for today's storms, this is, I think, our strongest couplet.
01:59We're looking at about a 77-mile-per-hour couplet there,
02:03contrast between the inbound and the outbound.
