00:23:14And that is, while playing this game,

00:23:16you live in nature.

00:23:17You deal with it every day.

00:23:19The rain, the ocean, the blazing sun.

00:23:22And then it dawned on us.

00:23:23Nature itself offers a perfect metaphor

00:23:26for what's going to happen today.

00:23:28Because every so often in nature,

00:23:30an event happens that is so memorable and so rare,

00:23:32the entire world pauses to take notice.

00:23:36And that is a total lunar eclipse.

00:23:40That is when the Earth's shadow covers the moon

00:23:43and turns it a deep, foreboding red.

00:23:46Mmm.

00:23:47And we call it a blood moon.

00:23:50Mmm.

00:23:51Ancient civilizations feared a blood moon.

00:23:54They saw it as a warning, a sign of upheaval,

00:23:57even impending doom.

00:24:01And that's how you should see it as well.

00:24:05Because tonight, Survivor will have its own version

00:24:09And just like in nature,

00:24:11it will cast a shadow over the entire Survivor game.

01:15:50Colby, how many years has it been since you've been at a Tribal Council?

01:15:54Fifteen years since the last time.

01:15:56Fifteen years.

01:15:57Coach, how about for you?

01:15:59Thirteen or fourteen.

01:16:00Yeah.

01:16:01Long time.

01:16:01Does it feel like riding a bike in the sense that you're right back in, or do you feel like

01:16:05you might be out of practice?

01:16:07For me, in the past, Tribal Council has been a little bit joyous.

01:16:10It's like going to a wedding.

01:16:11And you get on your rings and your jewelry, maybe a few feathers in the hair.

01:16:16But tonight, it feels a little bit different.

01:16:19I really feel the gravity of it.

01:16:21It's like a red wedding tonight.

01:16:23Colby, it's been a long time for you as well.

01:16:26Jeff, the smell of the torches, it all just comes back immediately.

01:16:30For me, it's riding a bike.

01:16:32I love what you've done with the place, by the way.

01:16:36Epic.

01:16:37Colby, it's interesting because the first time you played, you made it all the way to the end.

01:16:42So your bar has been very high from the first time you played.

01:16:45And now we're talking about the fact that somebody here will not make the jewelry.

01:16:49You're right.

01:16:50The bar was set a quarter of a century ago, for me, my personal bar.

01:16:54And I haven't lived up to that in the two times prior.

01:16:57This one was a little different coming out here.

01:16:59But the expectation was the same.

01:17:02I still wanted to compete at the same level and make it as far as I could.

01:17:07You know, I've got a target painted on me tonight.

01:17:11Really?

01:17:12Yeah.

01:17:13I mean, look, I don't have a vote tonight.

01:17:16And because I don't have a vote and lost that, that also means I don't have a shot in the

01:17:20dark.

01:17:20So it's really easy to just take that person out, right?

01:17:25But even with the highs and lows, the foot injury, you know, here we are 13 days in.

01:17:30I've had more fun this time than all of the other three experiences.

01:17:36Emily, it's really interesting.

01:17:38Because the game is so complex and everybody here is so good, Colby could be telling the truth that he

01:17:46believes he's going home.

01:17:47And still, the four of you who are about to vote aren't really sure if he's going home.

01:17:51Yeah, I mean, despite how straightforward I think some people view this vote, you know, season 50 has taught me

01:17:57a lot of things, one of which is expect the unexpected.

01:18:00And so I'm not willing to bet the farm on that.

01:18:04Jeff, it ain't over till the fat lady sings, Jeff.

01:18:07And I haven't heard any singing yet.

01:18:09So.

01:18:10This is making me think I might actually have a shot.

01:18:15You know, Colby, I'm going to circle back.

01:18:21What's different?

01:18:23I came into it with a completely different attitude and a set of goals for me.

01:18:29There are certainly days that suck, especially when you're injured and you don't have a vote.

01:18:34But I chose to find the joy in it.

01:18:37I mean, half of my life, Jeff, has transpired since the first time I played.

01:18:42Half of my life.

01:18:43Wow.

01:18:44Jeff, I'm in my 50s now.

01:18:45And they say this is the decade of reflection.

01:18:47That's truly it.

01:18:49I've reflected on my life and how Survivor has woven through so much of it and so many people in

01:18:58my sphere, not by one degree of separation, but I can connect them back to Survivor.

01:19:04Survivor has introduced me to so many people in my life.

01:19:07That I love and care about.

01:19:09And again, I met people in this experience that I know I'm going to be friends for life with.

01:19:14And I just, I just, um, I just appreciate the opportunity to come back one more time.

01:19:30You know, Colby, as you were talking, this is what was going through my mind.

01:19:36Emily and Dee would not be here without you, Sari, and Coach.

01:19:40You are three of the true icons of Survivor.

01:19:43There's no disputing that.

01:19:45So I'm listening to you and I'm remembering you 25 years ago.

01:19:50Dee, how old were you when Colby first played 25 years ago?

01:19:53Three.

01:19:54Three years old.

01:19:56You were three when he was out doing this.

01:19:59Like you said, Sari, Colby, and Coach have paved the path for the new Arrow players.

01:20:05Like, we wouldn't be here without them.

01:20:08Sari, he played more days than anybody out here.

01:20:11So to hear this talk of legacy, what are you thinking about?

01:20:18You know, it's weird, Jeff.

01:20:20For me, it was 20 years ago and I had zero expectation.

01:20:26I didn't know that I would pave the way for anybody.

01:20:30So I'm honored that people look up to me and think that I have laid a path for them or

01:20:40started a legacy for them.

01:20:42So like Colby, I, too, am, like, so honored to be thought of in that way.

01:20:48So I know exactly how he feels.

01:20:51But it's a game.

01:20:53It's a game.

01:20:53And the game must go on.

01:20:55It's a game.

01:21:02What are you feeling right now?

01:21:05I think this has been a great journey for a lot of the older players because we see that, you

01:21:12know, we see that we're revered in some way or another.

01:21:15And the reason why I've come out here time and time again is I just want to inspire somebody.

01:21:22If it's one person, three people, a tribe.

01:21:26And I'm humbled to hear people say that we have left a legacy and made our mark.

01:21:35And so to quote an ancient samurai proverb, you know, we make war tonight with a pure and clean heart.

01:21:43There's no malice here.

01:21:44There's no betrayal.

01:21:47And we're here with clean hearts.

01:21:51D, what's the emotion for you?

01:21:56I'm just battling with my decisions.

01:22:02Suri, Colby, and Coach haven't been back in so long.

01:22:06And to know that somebody's not making the jury, they don't even have a say on 50, it's, like, really

01:22:12sad because it comes with a lot of feelings of guilt.

01:22:16And it does also come down to the rawness and how rare it is in this game.

01:22:22When you truly feel, not even say it, when you feel somebody's words, that's how you know, oh, my God,

01:22:30like, these people might be in my life forever.

01:22:38And it is time to vote.
