00:02It's incredibly hard to talk with people in Iran.
00:05There's been a total internet blackout there since the start of the war.
00:08And even if someone can get connected online somehow,
00:11they risk being arrested, or even worse, if they speak with Western media.
00:17But I've got brave contacts inside Iran who want to let the world know how they're feeling.
00:22Like a man we'll call Navid in Tehran.
00:26It's frightening. The situation is not good at all.
00:30Especially because it's dragging on.
00:32People are exhausted.
00:34These attacks were supposed to help the people of Iran.
00:36People had hoped the regime would fall.
00:39Because of the internet blackout, it's incredibly hard for Iranians to know exactly what's going on in this war.
00:45We asked Navid how he felt about the prospect of a US ground invasion.
00:50Many people strongly oppose this.
00:52If they deploy ground troops or try to take Iranian territory, it would be a mistake.
00:59People of all political views, even monarchs are against this.
01:04People are exhausted.
01:06They have no jobs, no money, and are under pressure from every direction.
01:10When I go out to buy bread, I don't know if I'll make it back home safely.
01:16Other people we've spoken with talk about fear on the streets.
01:21Not just from Israeli and American airstrikes, but also from a weakened Iranian regime that's cracking down on dissent.
01:29This is from a woman we'll call Parisa.
01:31There are many checkpoints across the streets.
01:35They have handed guns to children and elderly men as they don't have enough forces.
01:40We still hope Trump will continue until this regime falls.
01:45But Parisa says there's growing scepticism about Donald Trump's plans.
01:50People don't believe what Trump says.
01:52In my view, he's not going to negotiate.
01:55He's trying to buy time to surprise them again.
01:58Another Iranian we'll call Reza thinks the US sits at a precipice.
02:03He believes that any gains America has made by attacking the Iranian regime could be easily undone if they launch
02:12a ground assault or attack energy infrastructure.
02:15If Trump ever takes such a brazen action, he will make Iranian people hate the US for longer than the
02:22end of Trump's presidential term.
02:25He will definitely lose Iranian people's trust in him.
02:29He needs to remember that the Ayatollahs and the Islamic Republic will be gone soon, but the people in Iran
02:35will stay here.
02:36These people we've been speaking with are incredibly conflicted.
02:40They wanted America to end the Iranian regime, but they want the war to end and they don't know what
02:46it's achieved.
02:47And they're still trapped inside.
