00:00Today's video is on the Krusty's banana bread muffin mix. Heat to 400, take out
00:21the old pans, maybe put on the oven light, get out your mixing bowl, and where's our, there
00:39it is, we're not going to make the muffins as usual, just make the bread. So we'll want
00:49to grease this pan, some butter, it's a little butter, there you have it. Now we got one third
01:15cup of vegetable oil, half a cup of water, and three eggs. Well, tough, I only got two.
01:26But it'll work.
01:33So let's put the mix. I believe this is the only one I haven't put on. I mean, I got
01:40the cranbread, the blueberries, the Krusty's, and Pillsbury, Cinnamon Swirl.
01:54But this is basically a repair channel, anything from lawn tractors, snow blowers,
02:01just don't have nothing to, electronics, just don't have nothing to repair right now.
02:13Some family band stuff. So here's the two eggs.
02:19There's that one third cup of oil.
02:27And one half cup of water.
02:44That's one half right there.
02:48Could put a couple more drops in, because that's probably what the egg would do.
02:53I think I'll put a little more oil in.
02:58You can use olive oil, but one third.
03:11And then, either whisk, or the rubber spatula.
03:21Right at the bottom.
03:23Let's bring it over here.
03:27Make sure one third that's boiling.
03:30And that's it.
03:32Now this will probably go for 50,
03:36it's 45, 50 minutes, because it's a pan.
03:40Mini muffins, 12 to 14 minutes.
03:4312 standard muffins, 16 to 18 minutes.
03:47It's good to have around a loaf of bread for breakfast or whatever.
03:56Wish I had some pudding or something.
04:01Experiment.
04:03Make some lemon pudding bread.
04:05I like those crusty lemon squares.
04:17The dryer stuff I can do with, as long as I've got some coffee on hand.
04:27So, 50 minutes would be about 1025.
04:40Yeah, see, now this is getting pretty thick.
04:43So, I'm gonna just add a splash of water.
04:48It's probably because that other egg isn't in there.
04:53I remember before just using two out of three, and it went good.
04:58Maybe it won't rise as much, but it still tastes good.

05:47Usually I get a toothpick, poke it, and cut an end off.
05:51But you can skim past this next one, because since I have the time, I know I did this before.
06:01I'm gonna get this rice-roni cheddar and block broccoli going, which requires two and a half tablespoons of butter
06:13or margarine.
06:18Right about two and a half, right about there.
06:25The thing with this is you want to get the rice brown first.
06:31Or if there's any, like, vermicelli in it.
06:36Not just, uh, put it in the water.
06:42So, I'm just gonna sort of saute that.
06:50I'll turn it on high and then probably down to medium when the butter's all melted.
06:55I should have let the butter melt a little more.
06:58Then two and a half, uh, two and a quarter cups of water.
07:15There's the first cup.
07:25If you get the rice on the, I'm gonna turn it down now.
07:31If you get the rice all over the butter, it's not gonna melt.
07:42Try to clear space, get that butter to melt.
07:49Then mix the rice with it.
07:51So the idea here is slowly stirring the water.
07:56You'll notice, like, if I add a little water, see how hot that is.
08:03And, uh, put in the seasonings when you start putting in the water.
08:06Bring to a boil.
08:08Then cover and reduce heat to low.
08:11So you can use a skillet.
08:13Simmer 15 to 20 minutes before that rice is cooked.
08:20So what do you think, rice and chicken or something for dinner?
08:24And banana nut bread for dessert later on?
08:32Yeah, let's brown this.
08:34Now let the butter's melted.
08:40Get our little lid to simmer.
08:48Since we're gonna boil it, though, I think I will turn it up a little more.
08:52Because it does say, combine rice, pasta mix, and butter.
08:58Sauté over medium heat, until pasta's golden brown.
09:03Yeah, so we're gonna get this golden brown.
09:24Then to boil it, well, you can turn it back up.
09:31That's after all the water has been added.
09:35The two and a quarter cups of water.
09:39There's some nice golden brown coming out.
09:51That's how you want it.
09:53Little at a time.
09:55Let's steam it.
10:01I want it as hot as possible.
10:04Because we know we gotta bring it to a boil.
10:11That, if it sticks to the bottom, don't leave.
10:15Stand right here.
10:17Even if you bring it, we're gonna bring it down to two now, medium heat.
10:24Little more water.
10:28We've still got the other one and a quarter cups to go.
10:33There we go.
10:34Since it's boiling, we'll add the rest of the water.
10:37Fill up the second cup.
10:46Still add it slowly, then we'll add that seasoning packet.
10:55Even turn it up again.
11:01Get ready for that seasoning packet.
11:05Put the water in first.
11:12But yeah, that'll be
11:1615 to 20 minutes.
11:20Yeah, that'll be like half the time that the bread's supposed to.
11:23And then I'll pause it and wait for the bread.
11:28As soon as I'm done mixing here.
11:36All right, it's boiling again.
11:39One more cup of water.
11:46And why not?
11:47Put it in.
11:50Add that seasoning packet.
11:52It'll boil quicker because it'll be a thicker sauce.
12:01And once it boils.
12:07Now we're gonna turn it down to two.
12:10But don't walk away from it.
12:14Now we'll cover it.
12:16Start the timer.
12:18All right, what else we got for dinner?
12:20Now this is that marinade and some breading.
12:24In the packages.
12:26On the chicken breasts.
12:28But I took mine.
12:30And I made chicken salad.
12:33And then put some cranberry in there.
12:38Because we're gonna make a sandwich.
12:41Maybe add tomato and cheese.
12:44Let's check that banana bread.
12:46It's rising.
12:48Almost done.
12:49You can tell that egg's not in there.
12:53Still has 10 minutes.
12:57Let's go back to the sandwich.
12:59And the rice.
13:02Got the rice.
13:06Don't let that bottom burn.
13:08I turn it down even more.
13:10Because it's boiling.
13:12But it's absorbing that sauce.
13:15Pretty good.
13:19Now you can prefer to have the cheese cold.
13:22But what if I were to just.
13:25Dunk the cheese in the sauce.
13:29To get it to melt.
13:32Hear that?
13:35Maybe more mayo on the bread.
13:37If you like.
13:40Look at that rice.
13:44Drying.
13:47Almost done.
13:49Another five, six minutes.
13:52Turn it down even more.
13:56Finish the sandwich.
13:57Boy, this is good.
14:04Let's get out our toothpick.
14:07Check the bread.
14:12Check the center of the bread.
14:18Any batter on it?
14:20We're gonna let it heat.
14:23See with that.
14:25Only two eggs.
14:28Yeah, that's still real moist.
14:31The end might be done.
14:33But another five minutes will really make a difference.
14:36Five, six minutes.
14:37Now, let's try some of this cheddar and broccoli.
14:44Oh, that's just about ready for the plate, people.

14:54I'm gonna wait for the bread to be done, though.
14:56Then we can shut that off.
14:58Just keep the lid on it.
15:02At least Diet Coke or whatever.
15:05Now, shut off the oven.
15:12That'll fluff up pretty good now.
