00:00So we need a plurality of supply. We need nuclear, we need renewables, we need oil and gas.
00:05I have spoken to all the companies, well many of the companies in the supply chain,
00:10and all of them have said that they need oil and gas as well.
00:13That they use the money that they get from oil and gas revenues to help them in the transition.
00:18That's what a transition means. It means you carry the journey from oil and gas to renewables,
00:23not just that you stop oil and gas and then jump into renewables.
00:26The renewables are not sustainable without oil and gas.
00:28And the fact of the matter is that when the wind is not blowing, it's blowing now,
00:32but when the wind is not blowing, you need gas as a backup.
00:35The whole plan is a no-brainer. Let's just drill our own oil and gas in the North Sea.
00:41Everybody's saying it. Even Renewable UK is saying drill oil and gas.
00:44The only people who aren't saying it are the SNP and the Labour government.
