00:00Because there are only two options here, the labour approach, which is helping people who are on welfare, on benefits,
00:05who by the way are already getting a lot of support from the Labour government, or an approach which takes
00:09costs out the system.
00:11That is universal and the important thing is it helps those people on middle incomes.
00:14So if you wanted to do the labour approach, those people on £30,000, £40,000, £50,000 who are
00:20struggling themselves will get no help whatsoever and they are drowning, they are struggling.
00:25And we need to be able to have something which is an offer for them and that's why our approach
00:29is to take out the taxes and levies that the government is choosing to impose and make sure that those
00:33people can get somewhere to leave £200 of the average household bill as well.
