Reference: Sahih al-Bukhari 37

In-book reference: Book 2, Hadith 30

Topic: Establishing the Night Prayer in Ramadan (Qiyam Ramadan).

Description:
Is it possible to start your life over with a clean slate? In Sahih al-Bukhari 37, the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) gives us a breathtaking promise for those who dedicate their nights in Ramadan to worship.

The Prophet (ﷺ) said: "Whoever established prayers during the nights of Ramadan out of sincere faith and hoping for a reward from Allah, then all his previous sins will be forgiven."

Key Lessons & Insights:

The Concept of Qiyam: This refers to the night prayers, including Taraweeh, which are unique to the month of Ramadan.

The Same Two Conditions: Just like the Hadith for Laylat al-Qadr, the reward depends on:

Iman (Faith): Doing it because you believe in Allah and His command.

Ihtisab (Seeking Reward): Doing it sincerely for Allah, not out of social pressure or habit.

Why it's in the "Book of Belief": Imam al-Bukhari uses this to prove that "Action is a part of Faith." Standing in prayer at night is a physical manifestation of the belief held in the heart.

The Mercy of Ramadan: While Laylat al-Qadr is a specific peak, the entire month offers an opportunity for a spiritual "reset" for those who are consistent.
