Reference: Sahih al-Bukhari 35

In-book reference: Book 2, Hadith 28

Topic: Establishing prayer on the Night of Qadr (Qiyam Laylat al-Qadr).

Description:
Imagine having every single one of your past sins wiped away in a single night. In Sahih al-Bukhari 35, the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) gives us the golden key to achieving this through the Night of Power (Laylat al-Qadr).

The Prophet (ﷺ) said: "Whoever established prayers on the night of Qadr out of sincere faith and hoping for a reward from Allah, then all his previous sins will be forgiven."

Key Lessons & Insights:

The Two Conditions: Forgiveness isn't automatic. The Hadith sets two requirements:

Iman (Faith): Believing in the command and the promise of Allah.

Ihtisab (Hoping for Reward): Performing the prayer purely for Allah's sake, not for show or out of habit.

Why it's in the "Book of Belief": Imam al-Bukhari included this to prove that voluntary prayers (Nawafil) are part of a person's faith and can increase their standing with Allah.

The Mercy of Allah: This Hadith highlights that a short period of intense, sincere worship can outweigh a lifetime of shortcomings.

A Call to Action: It encourages every believer to seek out the last ten nights of Ramadan with energy and hope.
