Speaking at his first Cabinet meeting since he launched the war with Iran, US President Donald Trump revealed Thursday that Tehran's "present" to him was allowing 10 oil tankers to pass through the Strait of Hormuz.

Earlier this week, Trump cryptically told reporters that Iran “gave us a present" but wouldn't say what the gift was.

00:08You know, I told you about a present, right?
00:10Steve, can I reveal the present?
00:14You can do anything you can do.
00:18They said to show you the fact that we're real and solid and we're there.
00:26We're going to let you have eight boats of oil, eight boats, eight big boats of oil.

00:33And they'll sail up tomorrow.
00:34That was three days ago.
00:38And I didn't think much about it.
00:40And then I watched the news and they said, something's unusual happening.
00:46There are eight boats that are going right up the middle of the Hormuz Strait.

01:13And they said, we're going to send two more boats.
01:16And it ended up being 10 boats.
01:18And I hope I haven't screwed up your negotiations.
