00:00This beautiful bracelet is made from the shell casing of used bullets.
00:05Mr. Shanta says that his purpose is to show that the world doesn't want war or separation.

00:12The goldsmith shows that through beautiful pieces of jewelry,
00:16using piles of bullet casings collected from shooting ranges and military training grounds in Cambodia.
00:22According to Reuters, his workshop goes through roughly 11 pounds of bullet casings per week
00:27and produces around 20 items daily of what is known as Angkor bullet jewelry.
00:32Shanta's work is beautiful, and his message a powerful one.
00:36He told Reuters,
00:38During the war, we had to run away from bullets, and we were in fear all the time.
00:42We didn't know when we might die.
00:44I turned those bullet shells into jewelry to say,
00:46I don't want the terrible situation to return.
00:49I want this jewelry made from bullet shells to be a symbol of peace.
00:52We remembered what we've lost, and we don't want it to happen again.
