00:00So, huge sports fans.
00:02Are you watching any of the playoffs right now?
00:05I do.
00:06I enjoy the playoffs, and you're going to love this.
00:08Back when I was at the University of Arizona,
00:11I was a roommate with Khalid Reeves.
00:13It was a first-round pick, 94 draft.
00:16And also, I lived with Ben Davis when he was a rookie for the Suns.
00:21Get out of here.
00:21And so, my cousin Joe was very good friends with them
00:23and needed certain minders to make sure that they stay out of trouble
00:26and be at the top of their game.
00:28And it was just amazing living with these incredible, not Division I.
00:33These are some of the best athletes in the country.
00:35And seeing the different side when they're off the court
00:37and ESPN's not interviewing them,
00:39they're probably the most humble, down-to-earth,
00:42hanging out, playing video games with you,
00:44eating some food, just chilling.
00:47And we're still such good friends to this day.
00:50And what that did, because I was in my 20s
00:54dealing with people that are getting million-dollar contracts
00:56and just really starting their life,
00:58they kind of showed me the structure and the discipline
01:01and the mindset of being a winner.
01:03Not just being a winner.
01:04They're telling me about mastering levels.
01:06Because if they can't do it now,
01:07how are they going to do it in the pros?
01:09And then you got to see how they treated people
01:11because everyone is just telling them how amazing they are.
01:14And they kind of didn't like that.
01:15They just wanted people to be real with them.
01:18And that's why I was capable of being an excellent roommate
01:21with these two gentlemen,
01:23because I'm not following sports like you did.
01:25I enjoyed it.
01:25I can't throw out stats.
01:27I was just their buddy, Rich,
01:28just there to hang out.
01:30Just drive around town and chill with them.
01:32So I think it was more of a release and escape
01:34from their very chaotic and hectic world
01:37that these two men were in.
01:40Like, Rich doesn't want anything from us.
01:42He doesn't need anything from us.
01:44We're just buddies.
01:45And I think we all need, you know,
01:49those kind of friends.
01:50you want to take care of like youenn Fool,
01:50can't take care of all of this.
