00:00Bombs away!
00:02That's the stuff?
00:10Got you!
00:12Cheer you up!
00:14Better luck next time, wardens!
00:16When Riot Forge approached us,
00:18they said, what champions would you
00:20be interested in? Immediately,
00:22Zig stood out as this unhinged,
00:24wacky, little puffball
00:26of mayhem. Anheimer Dinger
00:28is sort of this archetype
00:30of the old, you-can't-do-that
00:32kind of character. What?
00:34And you put someone that doesn't
00:36care about essentially anything
00:38will blow everything up with someone that says,
00:39you can't do that. And I won't let you build
00:42this bomb! And it's just magic.
00:44It's good to be back!
00:45In Hextech Mayhem, you play as Ziggs, and the
00:48idea is that you are causing
00:50as much mayhem as
00:52possible. Go forth, my beautiful
00:54Bombs! Go forth and explode
00:56to your heart's content!
00:59Hextech Mayhem
01:00was inspired by
01:02basically a mashup of the
01:03auto-rhythm runners that we've had in the past,
01:05and like a guitar hero or a rock band
01:08gameplay mashed together.
01:10I wouldn't want to say that Hextech Mayhem
01:12is a rhythm game. It is a music game.
01:14What that means is all
01:16of your inputs are explicitly
01:18tied to the music. That includes
01:20the rhythm, that includes the melody, that
01:21includes the bridges, the verses, and all
01:24of that. So you are playing
01:25along explicitly to
01:28the music. The music really
01:29drives the gameplay. So when I'm playing,
01:32I just get a smile on my face, and it's like,
01:33this music is just so happy and fun, and I'm
01:36bouncing around to it! But there are
01:38multiple levels of gameplay in this game
01:39that we've never done in the past.
01:41There's what we call the Freestyle Mayhem
01:43system. So there's all the prompts,
01:45and if you play them, you do it right.
01:47But then there's also hidden prompts
01:49that are not visible. They're all musical.
01:51So if you are listening to the music and you're
01:53attuned to it, you can cause
01:55tons of extra mayhem
01:57for extra bonus points and ranks,
01:59and that's the only way that you can achieve
02:01a challenge or make. Now can we stop
02:03this buffoonery already?
02:05Oh ho ho ho! But there's
02:07so much room for improvement!
02:10I'm only getting started!
02:11Our flavor
02:13comes out through a lot of
02:15the frantic nature of the gameplay,
02:17the animations, and the artistic
02:19representation of these champions
02:21that we hope is going to look fresh
02:23to League players, but also familiar.
02:26Hextech Mayhem really is
02:27for both the casual
02:29player who just wants to play a single player
02:31League of Legends story, but also the
02:33mastery player who wants to
02:35dominate whatever game they play.
02:38I am unstoppable!
02:40This is
02:41preposterous, Ziggs! I know!
02:43Isn't it the best?
