00:00As an independent baseball observer, I say this because I believe it,
00:04and I say it because it's really tough to argue.
00:07The New York Yankees are the best team in the American League.
00:10And I know I said that a lot last year, and I guess I turned out to be wrong.
00:14I don't know.
00:15I mean, they did win as many games as anybody else last year.
00:18Yeah, they probably were, but they just weren't good enough when it mattered most.
00:22And so you're probably right regular season-wise.
00:25Toronto had to go on this ridiculous run as we all remember down the stretch
00:29in order to equal the Yankees, or really the Yankees ended up having to equal them.
00:33But you know what I mean.
00:34It was all because Toronto couldn't lose.
00:36So for the most part, you were right.
00:38Yeah, and they ran into a team last year, and I think this can change year to year,
00:41which we'll get into.
00:42They ran into a team in their division that for whatever reason they couldn't be.
00:45Like they had big issues with the Toronto Blue Jays.
00:47But as we sit here today, hours away from opening day, as an IBO,
00:52no offense, Sean, no offense, Big Mac,
00:54my emotions are calm as a cucumber.
00:57Tell me what I'm telling lies.
00:59The New York Yankees have the best lineup in the American League.
01:02Is that a lie?
01:03No.
