00:00Last night, at about 11 o'clock at night, I got to a place I haven't been at at all
00:06this season.
00:07This is the first time me, my brain, Evan Roberts, is going to declare something to you.
00:12Alright, your brain is reporting something.
00:13My brain is ending the race for the American League East.
00:18Wow.
00:18I think it's over. I think the Tampa Bay Rays are going to win the division.
00:21I say that with half a tear in my eye. I don't say it to be hyperbolic.
00:25I say it because all year long, and even last year, I've been a supporter of the Yankees are the
00:30best team in the division.
00:31The Yankees will win the division, and part of it's a combination of not trusting Tampa Bay.
00:35A part of it is believing in the Yankee talent, and I've been steadfast about that all season long, even
00:40with the injuries that they've dealt with.
00:42But a few factors have gotten me to this moment.
00:45So I just want to declare Evan Roberts' brain is reporting, to quote the great Sal Licata, the AL East
00:54is over.
00:55Now, the good news is, that doesn't mean your season is over.
00:59It doesn't mean you can't go on a run as a wild card team, even though that's not something the
01:04Yankees have mostly done in their history.
01:06But I do believe, for a myriad of reasons, which I will get into and explain to you, I believe
01:12it's over.
01:12The Rays are going to win the American League.
