00:08Sì, sono Camille, music director e composer in Grinding Gear Games.
00:13In Path of Exile 2, we'll get back to dark and gritty sounds,
00:18but we'll take it to another level.
00:22So one of the ideas, especially for Act 1,
00:25was to combine three things.
00:28First is some folk, ethnic elements.
00:35Then some tribal elements as well.
00:43And then finally some industrial, some experimental.
00:54I listen to a lot of Trent Reznor.
00:57Actually, him is going up for movies, some creepy experimental industrial stuff.
01:05There will be much less of a typical symphonic orchestra.
01:09There will be much more synthesizers.
01:22Oh, I love the classic crypt in PoE, too.
01:26It just, whenever you enter this place,
01:29the atmosphere is just so grave and so realistic.
01:39I use a lot of sound design in this track.
01:42Some whispers, which bothers you from left and right,
01:47and makes you think like you are surrounded by ghosts and spirits of dead.
01:53People are creatures.
02:01The Hunting Grounds is one of these tracks,
02:03which actually shows that trancy kind of jamming on drums
02:10and other rhythmic elements like guitar.
02:12This is a good example of how music in Path of Exile works in an old-school way.
02:23I think this is like a tribute to Diablo, to music from Diablo, too.
02:34On the artwork level, I was so inspired by how it's gonna look like.
02:40It just, you know, blow my mind, and it was just way easier to put the game on the one
02:48screen
02:48and just start composing something according to what I see.
03:01So in Path of Exile 2, you might expect much more difficult encounters with bosses,
03:08and the music has to be more intense.
03:23It's important to use elements which will horrify players.
03:38What we would like to achieve after many years, when you hear the theme,
03:45you will have that nostalgia.
03:57What do you have to say to all the players that just mute your music?
04:05Don't do this.
04:08Don't do this.
04:09Don't do this.
04:14Grazie a tutti
