00:00Markel Fultz, back in the NBA, the former number one overall pick,
00:03is signing a 10-day contract with the Raptors.
00:05So let me expound on this, Joe.
00:07The Philadelphia 76ers and their fans went through some dark times here,
00:10and it's called the process.
00:11Let's think every single year, let's pile up great draft picks,
00:14and eventually we'll emerge and we'll be OKC
00:16because we'll be able to dominate with all these players.
00:19Well, it really started with, you know, Joel Embiid,
00:21who's been a really good player in MVP,
00:23but it was Ben Simmons was the focal point.
00:25You know, the 6'11 point guard that if he just learned how to shoot the basketball
00:28or shot it at all to open up the offense, the Sixers would be better off.
00:31He refused to do that.
00:33Then comes the time with the Philadelphia 76ers under Brian Colangelo,
00:36who was forced out by Sam Hinckley, who was forced out for Colangelo,
00:39and they said, you know, let's make a trade with Boston
00:41to get the number one over pick of Markel Fultz.
00:43A slick shooting guard, the missing piece to our process,
00:46and we can go ahead and win championships.
00:48And the minute Fultz got to Philadelphia,
00:49he forgot how to shoot the basketball
00:52and had a mysterious, infamous, I should say, shoulder injury.
00:56Now he's just going around.
00:57So pardon me for talking about the Sixers
00:59and how Markel Fultz was a massive part in the ruination of the process,
01:03but he's back in the NBA with the Raptors.
01:08Well, I tell you, because I would have thought maybe you said Utah or SACA,
01:13because nothing says full-on tank mode
01:16than getting Markel Fultz signed again here for the last 11 games.
01:20And it sounds like maybe just maybe the Raptors are like,
01:23listen, we just, it is what it is.
01:25We're going to make the postseason.
01:27We just need somebody to eat up some minutes here
01:30so none of our guys get hurt heading into the...
01:32That's kind of, he feels like a placeholder right now.
01:35Is that the point he's at in his career?
