00:00New York Knicks last night taking care of business. Good game, great game. I was at the game
00:04last night, and I give the Sixers a lot of credit. They actually tried. They didn't just roll over
00:10and die like the pigs that they are. They came out there, other than beat, of course.
00:15Sue, piggy, piggy, piggy, piggy. They tried. Tyrese Maxey, a phenomenal game, and frankly,
00:22the game the Sixers should have won, if you want me to be totally honest about it. Had the Knicks
00:26on the ropes. Had Carl Anthony Townsend foul trouble, sitting out for a good portion of the
00:32game. Jalen Brunson on the first half plus was not great offensively. Barely even took a shot
00:37in the first quarter. OG, of course, has been a man child in this entire season. Once again last
00:43night, we're 24-5-4. The New York Knicks had lineups out that they've never had on the court
00:48at the same time this entire season, and then came the last two and a half, three minutes
00:53of the fourth quarter, where all of a sudden the Sixers couldn't buy a bucket, and the New
00:58York Knicks made a couple big shots. And I'll give the Sixers credit. They had a half-court
01:01trap going yesterday that the Knicks could not figure out, like elementary school AAU traps,
01:09and the New York Knicks could barely get the ball. You'll pass mid-court, but somehow, someway,
01:15the New York Knickerbockers find a way to win, up to nothing, and now the series is a wrap.
01:21But I want to thank you, Tyrone, for making us work for it last night, and making us earn
01:26it. Because I'll be honest, and I've said this a million times, you and I have not had
01:30this conversation, but I've had it with just about everybody else in my life. I hate blowouts.
01:3640-point blowouts are boring. Yeah, of course, it's fun to win. It's fun to know in the fourth
01:41quarter, there's no way we're going to lose a game. But last night, the agenda of back and
01:48fourth, mini-run, mini-run, mini-run, mini-run, Paul George knocking down everything in sight
01:54in the first quarter, that's sports. That's what we love about sports, a game that came
02:00down to the final couple minutes. And let's be honest, the better team prevailed.
02:05No, no, no. I'm going to say this as a Sixers fan, I'm extremely relaxed, not at all concerned,
02:12at all 2-0. Sixers will win the game tomorrow. But first things first, I want to do something
02:18that New York people are not classy enough to do. I hope OG is 100%. I hope OG is healthy
02:25and doesn't miss any games and goes out and plays because I want the Knicks to be at their
02:29best. And I never, ever, ever would be as trashy enough to wish injury on others like a certain
02:36former Giants running back who is now on my list.
02:40Oh, look at that.
02:41No, no, no. I didn't say this, Dave. I'm saying it's not on my list. And I think that there's
02:45an unwritten thing that you never, ever, ever root for injuries.
02:50How do you think he rooted for injuries?
02:50Yes, he rooted for injuries.
02:51And then he also, you never get personal if you're not going to show your face. He broke
02:56both rules. He should shut the hell up. But I am not like that.
03:00Let me walk people through what happened, what Tyrone's alluded to there. It happened on my
03:05radio station. Tiki Barber, the former New York Giants running back, talked about how
03:09when he was a player for the Giants, he once played with a broken arm.
03:13Yeah.
03:13All right. And he said, you know, he wanted to play. So they put a rap on it, a cast
03:18on
03:18whoever it was, and he played.
03:19Of course, we're doing this with no verification. He just, we're taking his word for this blindly.
03:24To be fair, Tiki didn't miss any games, so I'm assuming it happened.
03:26No, no, no. I'm going to assume because I also have a track record of Tiki Barber perhaps
03:31not always telling the truth.
03:33Okay.
03:33So I'm not going to blindly believe him.
03:36Okay. That's all I'm saying.
03:37Well, that's fine. I'm going to believe him because it's probably an easy thing to
03:40fact check, but neither here nor there. His words, not mine, referred to Joel Embiid as
03:47a bitch. Okay. Now that's offensive to you. I apologize. Be mad at somebody else. I'm
03:53just quoting the man.
03:54Hey, you didn't say it.
03:55No, I did not.
03:56You didn't say it.
03:56Hugh Douglas, former Eagle football player, does radio down in Philadelphia, WIP, I believe.
04:01Yes, that is correct.
04:02He reacted to it and said, that's the type of thing. If you say it, I'm going to punch
04:07you in the mouth.
04:07Right.
04:08All right. And you also went against the sanctity of the player code.
04:12Which is true. But to me, that's the human.
04:14Either here nor there.
04:15It's the human code, in my opinion.
04:18Fair enough. He called Joel Embiid a bitch. Now, there are fighting words amongst men.
04:24Yep.
04:25Somebody calling you a little bitch might be the type of thing that requires a smack.
04:30It might.
04:31For some people. Not for everybody.
04:33Right.
04:33For some people. But that's a side story to the fact that Joel Embiid, five hours before
04:40a tip-off, said, I can't go tonight. And I think, I can't speak for Tiki, I'm not going
04:46to try to. I think if you're a Sixers fan, or I, look, I can speak from a Knick fan
04:52perspective,
04:52when you get blown out by 39 in game one, and you come out right after the game, which Embiid
04:58did, and said, after the Mikael Bridges elbow to his gut, that that's how we're going to play,
05:05I'm going to play that way too. Meaning, not necessarily dirty, although he's been dirty
05:11against the Knicks historically, but I'm going to be more physical. If you want to make it
05:15a street yard brawl, I'm going to make it a street yard brawl. So I think in connection
05:20to that, you know, talking tough guy talk, after a 39 point loss, wait till you see us
05:25in game two, I'm going to play that style of basketball. And then five hours before the
05:32game, you eventually, you essentially say, I can't go tonight. Bitch, it is not. And
05:40here's the funny part. So why rush back from the appendix surgery? Okay, go ahead. See,
05:46this is the problem. And this is a New York problem, where the lack of humidity after 50
05:52years of losing. Yes, you get a lot, you get a little success and start that not you, some
05:58out there act like jackasses. That's my issue. But I just want to make it clear. I'm very,
06:03very calm in this series. The Knicks were not impressive to me in game two, with Joel and
06:08B not out there. I agree. I agree. Not impressive out there. Game three, obviously, it's very
06:13obvious. It's everything. We know that. That's the interesting thing about the Sixers. You
06:17can speak this better than I can because you watch every game. I don't. But Tommy Beer, who's
06:22a great Twitter account, Twitter follow, puts out stats. Sometimes opinion, but he just puts
06:28out stats. He does a really good job. Yeah, yeah. And I didn't realize the fact that this
06:31year, this season, when Joel and B is on the court, defensively, there are 13 points per
06:38hundred possessions worse than when Joel and B doesn't play. Meaning, let me just cut the
06:43chase on that. The Sixers are a better defensive team when Joel and B does not play. Obviously,
06:51they're a better offensive team when he does play because he's a great offensive player.
06:54But his physical limitations now, he's a traffic cone on defense.
