00:02The Thunder continue to stack
00:04wins not only on this road trip
00:06but over the course of this
00:07season they are a perfect three
00:09and oh on this season long five
00:12game ten day trip the latest was
00:14on Saturday night but we welcome
00:16you to the city of brotherly love
00:18in Philadelphia Pennsylvania as
00:21the Thunder get ready to take on
00:22the Sixers from Xfinity Mobile
00:25Arena here in South Philly final
00:29matchup between these two teams
00:31welcome inside the arena everybody
00:32alongside my broadcast partner
00:33Michael Cage I'm Chris Fisher and
00:35Michael the Thunder have an 11 game
00:37win streak that is the longest in the
00:39NBA right now the latest against the
00:41Washington Wizards on Saturday night
00:43the Thunder they had to work for
00:44that one a little bit the last
00:45quarter and a half much different
00:47than what we saw over the first two
00:49and a half quarters for the Thunder
00:50throttled up at the right time well
00:52give the Wizards credit they were
00:53knocking down threes to the tune of
00:54ten in that first half but at the
00:56end of that third quarter all of a
00:58sudden the goal went out for the
00:59Thunder the defense tightened they
01:01got out to shooters and more
01:03importantly they got into transition
01:05as SGA was brilliant folks we'll
01:07talk about him a little bit more
01:08there's a quarter buster right
01:09there at the end of the third
01:10quarter and the avalanche just
01:12continued into the fourth quarter
01:14the Wizards they were hot early
01:16they were knocking down a bunch of
01:17shots but it was the offense for OKC
01:19that also came alive well you like
01:21that too because the defense was
01:22good but the offense was even better
01:24at the right time you look at the
01:25numbers here for the Thunder I like
01:27those numbers with the rebounding in
01:28the final 13 minutes and 24 seconds
01:31man my goodness they got eight of
01:34eleven free throws and did not
01:35foul at all to put the Wizards on
01:37that free throw line SGA continues to
01:39add more bullet points to his MVP
01:41resume and how about the 20 rebound
01:43performance of Isaiah Hartenstein in
01:46limited minutes how about this folks
01:47he did all that work in 25 minutes
01:48which is pretty special when you can
01:50get 20 rebounds that quickly and a
01:52lot of those point those rebounds
01:53translated into points for the
01:55Thunder they're gonna need both
01:56those guys tonight against this
01:57Philadelphia 76ers team that is 39
02:00and 32 trying to make moves in the
02:02Eastern Conference but they've got a
02:04really promising rookie in BJ Edgum
02:06who's had a fantastic year with the
02:08guys they have missing they're gonna
02:09put the ball in this guy's hand early
02:11and often and he's a very young
02:13talent a 6-4 guard out of Baylor he's
02:16averaging almost 17 points a game but
02:18his numbers have gone up over the last
02:20five he's very dynamic he's physical
02:23he can shoot the three and he plays
02:25with a lot of energy very promising
02:27young guard he can fill it up
02:28particularly from the outside as the
02:31Sixers feel very good about what
02:33he's been able to do up to this
02:35point Michael the Thunder had 72
02:37points in the paint the first time
02:38these two teams met can they
02:40replicate that here tonight you like
02:42that along with getting back on
02:43defense because this is a young team
02:45they don't have a lot of set pieces
02:47where guys can get the ball and
02:48score on their own so get back on
02:50defense all right it's a lively
02:52building these two teams going to
02:53close out the season series of
02:54Thunder G commitment runs deep and by

03:18they're playing with is to be noticed

03:22it reminds me of Atlanta you know when
03:26we played them it's like multiple
03:28actions Indiana last season certainly
03:30multiple action team there's just
03:33they're they're running multiple
03:34actions aggressively so if you have a
03:36breakdown on an action they're gonna
03:37punch the paint and if you don't have
03:40a breakdown you're gonna have to
03:41cover the next one and the next one
03:42and they're they're pretty in
03:43character on that and they've they've
03:44looked like that here lately
03:48Philadelphia 76ers are a well coached
03:49team still trying to make moves in the
03:51Eastern Conference they've won two
03:53straight the Thunder come in having
03:55won 11 in a row they'll try to make
03:57it 12 lineups and tip coming up next

04:34been excellent Adem Thona Dominic
04:36Barlow and Justin Edwards out of
04:39Kentucky will be Nick Nurse's starting
04:41five for the first time let's send it
04:43down and say hello to our very own
04:45Nick Gallo thanks Chris as we hit late
04:48March the Thunder is focused on
04:50sprinting through the finish line of
04:52this regular season and getting
04:53everything that they can out of these
04:56battles but to be a great regular season
04:58team in the course of 82 you've got to be
05:01able to create separation on the
05:02scoreboard so that you're not playing
05:04close games every single night and as
05:06we'll see here in tonight's work back
05:08that's exactly what OKC was able to do
05:10in Washington creating three separate
05:13runs of 10 nothing or better in that
05:16game now to replicate that tonight OKC is
05:19gonna have to get stops over and over
05:21again Jalen Williams who returns tonight
05:23told me it's just about guys being in
05:26help rotating and making shot attempts
05:28uncomfortable for the Sixers all right
05:32thank you Nick and there is Jalen
05:35Williams who's missed the last six
05:36games he will be getting this last 16
05:39excuse me he will be getting the start
05:44against this Philly team that has won two
05:46consecutive the Thunder have won 11 in a
05:49row and what has been Michael a very
05:51successful road trip so far you want
05:54to continue to play well here on the
05:55road well they're winning the right
05:57games at the right time you know
05:58there's a what just a handful of games
06:00left 10 exactly including tonight and
06:04the Thunder coming in here on 11 game
06:05winning streak still the top of the
06:08Western Conference as well as best
06:11record in the NBA
06:15NBA talk about like 72 games in playing
06:20with a target on your back and you're
06:22still in the same place you were a
06:23year ago not bad just learning the
06:25intangibles of the game after doing
06:28something very special last season
06:31Isaiah Hardenstein says that he can
06:33feel it when going up against teams
06:35if there's a certain edge that they
06:36play with and there is Hardenstein off
06:39the dish and a nice feed from Jalen
06:41Williams who immediately comes in and
06:43racks up an assist well you know he's
06:45such a dynamic player also along with
06:47SGA that he could make and create
06:50outfits for you as well
06:56BJ Edgecombe the 20 year old rookie
06:59knocks down that three for Philly as
07:03SGA first shot right on the baseline
07:05almost automatic you just cannot slow
07:07it down just really very methodical
07:10move by Shea just got Edgecombe slightly
07:14chasing him
07:17speaking of chasing there was
07:19Dort trying to stay with Edgecombe and
07:21we're going to get a loose ball foul
07:22underneath as Bona was trying to
07:24attack the glass off that miss from
07:28Edgecombe and I believe that's going
07:29to go against SGA it's gone talented young
07:36rookie out of Baylor don't hear a whole
07:39lot about it but I tell you he's got a
07:41big game though folks you got to think
07:43Michael with all the engines that are
07:44out for Philly he's going to be
07:46featured a lot here tonight particularly
07:48on the offensive end Quinton Grimes who
07:51has been really an alliance with him in
07:54these last few games for Philly was a
07:57late scratch
07:57so he's not out on the floor
07:59there's a three and a make from the
08:02outside by Edwards and the lefty able to
08:05stroke it
08:10Jada fires it over to Dort
08:12Dort got around the first defender
08:14Mark Stein the put back is good and he
08:17has been doing work on the glass he's
08:19been fantastic master of a game on the
08:22glass a couple of nights ago in DC with
08:26those 20 rebounds my goodness are we off
08:30to a solid start here the Sixers have
08:33made three threes in a row they're off
08:36to a terrific start that is Marshawn
08:39Beauchamp from the outside the former
08:41Milwaukee buck getting an opportunity to
08:44get some playing time here
08:47as Jalen Williams puts it on the deck
08:50the hard drive and the finish with the
08:51left hand a strong move for Jada
08:57Hedgecombe just got swatted by Holmgren
08:59Holmgren not allowing him into the lane
09:02excellent defensive play as SGA open
09:06stairs down that three no good
09:10Hedgecombe trying to ship it up to Bona
09:12and threw it too wide out of bounds
09:14for the turnover
09:17about this
09:18Jada just getting started where he left
09:19off folks just in those last 16
09:21games got an assist here nice strong
09:24drive to the basket block and
09:26tackling by Hartstein on that play as
09:28well
09:31good to see Jada back out there it's a
09:33thunder starting to fortify that
09:35roster a little bit as Holmgren steps
09:37behind the tape and laces a three
09:40ball to the plate so nice three by
09:42Chad yet to work for that we'll put
09:43the ball on the floor and make a
09:46little step back a decisive move for
09:51Holmgren who has been as efficient as
09:54he's been in his entire career
09:57Edwards trying to make a move and
09:59just dribbled it out of bounds and
10:00maybe you got to think there that
10:02Holmgren who is defending him but
10:04it got his head a little bit but he's
10:06the best rim protector in the league
10:07and I'm sure by now through 72 games
10:11everybody knows that
10:17Williams is trying to pop into that
10:19three not able to convert
10:22Holmgren again standing tall right
10:24at the rim affecting the drive of
10:26Bochamp
10:28because we already say he's the best
10:29rim protector in the league and this
10:31is his second block right now he's
10:33literally taking away points from teams
10:36and plays like that because he's not
10:37the primary defender he's a secondary
10:39defender
10:40those guys might want to reconsider
10:43just an elite rim protection by the big man
10:46out of Gonzaga
10:48something that he's been doing all season
10:50long
10:52he's been one of the best defenders top to
10:55bottom SGA bounces off the defender and
10:58then shows the touch of the mid-range
11:00just takes his time can't speed him up
11:02can't slow down
11:02they got the rookie trying to guard one
11:04of the most lethal scores in the
11:06association
11:07one-on-one that's going to be tough
11:11see so many double teams throughout this
11:14road trip
11:15on SGA
11:18he's got single coverage he will
11:20absolutely feast
11:22there's a miss by Edgecombe
11:24as J-Dub surveys trying to bring it up the floor
11:28one of the few times this year that we've seen this starting lineup with all the injuries that the Thunder
11:32have faced
11:33as they try to get that pass inside to Hardenstein there's a turnover
11:37Edwards trying to fire it
11:39that's off Hardenstein
11:40then off of Sixer players
11:42SGA trying to push
11:43forwarding it up instead
11:44it got picked off by Edgecombe
11:49Bojan the dish and the Sixers turn it over again
11:53already the fourth turnover
11:55and is that pass intended for Barlow
12:04expected a little bit of pace
12:06with the way that Philly plays
12:08and Holmgren on the fadeaway no
12:11but we get a whistle and a foul on the baseline
12:13is it a loose ball foul underneath as Hardenstein and Bona were battling
12:21good job
12:24free throws for Chet
12:27as he was fouled while taking a shot
12:35two free throws for Holmgren gives us an opportunity to check in on tonight's
12:38Paris Devon injury report
12:42and AJ Mitchell the suspension
12:45they got to pitch in Sanford on some assignments
12:48Philadelphia this is a long list with some big names Maxi and beat and George and Grimes and Oubre
12:54that is basically all the offense
12:58for Philly outside of Edgecombe
13:01and a good little run there
13:02of four plus minutes for J-Dub making his return
13:05about that too
13:06you saw that longer list of players out for the 76ers
13:09the Thunder been battling that
13:11statistic all season long
13:13this
13:14second most man games in the association
13:19Edgecombe is able to work his way into his offense
13:21just kind of methodically got to that right elbow
13:24and pulled up for the J
13:25it's a 6-4 guard
13:26it's got really
13:28a smooth game
13:34Hardenstein got that pass from SGA
13:37that's Holmgren
13:40there's the pass and the cut by Dort
13:42right across the baseline
13:43and the elevation for the jam
13:45well body's in motion
13:46that's how Chad picked up his dribble
13:48in the paint
13:49Philly kind of froze for a second
13:51got caught watching the paint drive
13:52and a nice backdoor cut
13:54by Dort
13:55so many different dimensions of the offense
13:58Barlow missed the initial layup
14:00thanks to the Holmgren defense
14:02but the put back is good
14:08good flow
14:09good rhythm here
14:10in this first quarter
14:12and I think SGA thought that Dort
14:14was going to be on the sideline
14:16he crashed inside
14:18and we meet the first timeout
14:19here of this first quarter
14:21good offense for the Thunder
14:23as they're getting those easy buckets early
14:26as J-Dub makes his return
14:31low card keys to the game
14:33Michael
14:33all the 76ers get 18% of their offense
14:36from that Pareto line
14:37so defend without fouling
14:40it's another one that's going to always
14:41probably play out the rest of the season
14:42score quickly
14:43don't allow them to set up their defense
14:45they've done a good job of that
14:46a couple nights ago in D.C.
14:48controlled the glass
14:48how about an excellent night of that
14:51in the nation's capital
14:52with that plus 21 differential
14:53on the glass
14:54you're going to continue
14:55to control it
14:57kind of done so many good things
14:59over the course of the season
15:00but rebounding
15:01not something that we mentioned
15:02a whole lot
15:03as Jared McCain
15:04he's going to make his first appearance
15:07in this first quarter
15:08former Sixer
15:09gets a nice round of applause
15:11from his former home crowd
15:15that traded OKC
15:16back on February 4th
15:18is in the middle of a road trip
15:20on the west coast
15:22Caruso in the game for the first time
15:23that's going to be a travel
15:24by Edwards
15:26and Philly's been racking up the turnovers
15:28here in this first quarter
15:29yeah that's number five
15:31but you know I like the rotation
15:32that created that turnover
15:33as you see Nick Nurse
15:35won the title back in 2019
15:37do you remember with the Raptors
15:39that miracle shot against this very same team
15:41in the Eastern Conference
15:42by Kawhi Leonard
15:43I think hung on the rim
15:46they won them a championship
15:47even though they were in the conference finals
15:49well the SGA just so good
15:52didn't need the ball to hit the rim
15:54four times for that one to go in
16:00as Dort
16:02trying to stay attached to Edgecombe
16:05and you see Andre Drummond
16:07trying to zip that pass
16:08and the back door cut
16:09not a lot of space to get it through
16:11I'll tell you Andre Drummond
16:14he's a mainstay man
16:15in his early years
16:16I'll tell you he was
16:18he was a monster down low
16:20I was looking at his numbers Mike
16:22I mean he was an absolute machine
16:24when it came to rebound of the basketball
16:26he led the league four times
16:28back in his days with Detroit
16:30I mean it was automatic
16:31that he was going to lead the league
16:32I mean we're talking over 14 a game
16:35yes man
16:36you know you talk about how he did
16:37he reminds me of a guy
16:39that played here named Daryl Dawkins
16:42big body
16:43remember
16:44chocolate thunder
16:46that's not a joke
16:47that's his nickname
16:51the two-time all-star SGA
16:53weaving his way inside
16:54and then the nifty finish with the left
16:57and there's the quick response by
17:00Beauchamp but he missed the layup right at the rim
17:03that's that fast break that you know
17:05the 76ers want to get to
17:07this is Shea just getting one-on-one coverage
17:09once again
17:10man he finds a way to get between three defenders
17:12in that painted area
17:14to make a tough
17:15little yo-yo layup
17:18as he puts the thunder up
17:20by eight here early

17:28good start here offensively
17:30no for the thunder jumped out to the eight-point lead

18:07that wasn't the first thing
18:08that came to mind for me
18:11the Tokyo drift
18:13no I haven't seen that by the way

18:15therefore it's only like 99 of them
18:17well I was going to say
18:18it reminds me of Fast and the Furies
18:20and that's two in a row for McCain
18:23coming off the bench right away
18:25and nailing a couple of threes
18:27these guns are smoking right now
18:28as he'll put the thunder up by 12
18:34Payne in the mid-range
18:35he's going to get to his spot
18:38but one of the things that Mark Dagnon
18:39has really pointed out
18:40is just how comfortable
18:41Jared McCain has been
18:42particularly in working with
18:44the second unit
18:45working with the Thunder Bigs
18:46guys like Jalen Williams
18:48Harnstein Holmgren
18:49he just feels so comfortable
18:51coming off of all those screens
18:54that's a great offense for him
18:55and that's great offense by SGA
18:58once again passing over his teammates
19:00little shot fake
19:01didn't even put the ball on the floor
19:02and just passed it right over to Jay Will
19:05who applies him with the drive factor
19:08a lot of clean looks here in the first
19:11ball swings over to Payne
19:13he loves that three
19:14and he's able to knock it down
19:17little bit too much space there for campaign
19:20who's been living behind that three-point line
19:23what a good start by Jared McCain
19:25coming off the bench
19:27getting to where he wants to on the floor

19:53here in his return to Philadelphia
19:55so much conversation this morning
19:57at shoot around and then pregame
19:59about him coming back here
20:01after the trade a couple months ago
20:02a month or so ago
20:03and Jared just talked about how grateful he is
20:06to the teammates in OKC
20:08for putting him in positions to succeed
20:10we saw both of those threes
20:12set up by Jay Will
20:13and Mark Dagnall said before the game
20:15it says so much about the Thunder
20:17the guys in the locker room
20:19that they're really focused on getting
20:20the best version of the guys alongside of them
20:23and you see a guy like Jay Will
20:25setting up his teammate there
20:26that's a prime example
20:28but we see it again again
20:29Alex Caruso
20:30Isaiah Hartenstein
20:31AJ Mitchell
20:32and now McCain
20:33these Thunder players
20:34these teammates
20:35they want to put their teammates
20:36in position to succeed
20:37well he loved his time in Philly
20:40he did save when he arrived here
20:41it was a little bit weird for him
20:43coming to the city
20:44coming to the hotel
20:44understandably so
20:47we're back to play the team
20:49that drafted him out of Duke
20:52in his first year and a half
20:54zips that pass inside Duke Caruso
20:57it's Wallace
20:58from the outside
20:59and the threes
21:00continuing to fly
21:01for the Thunder
21:02here in the first quarter
21:03and good job by AC
21:04just kind of pros of the defense
21:06with the basketball
21:07to kind of draw in a few guys
21:10and free up that open look
21:11for Kaysen
21:13Thunder right now
21:14just blistering the nets
21:15that's the fifth three
21:18there's a turnover by Philly
21:20that went by Watford
21:21SGA sends it up the floor
21:23well it's the nice feed
21:24and it's Caruso finishing it off
21:27yeah how about those two guys

21:29AC just gave him a nice little dime
21:31for a three-pointer

22:23the four
22:24to challenge the ruling
22:25on a defensive foul
22:26on Shea Gilgis Alexander
22:28with a push-off from Drummond
22:32and so Mark Dagonal going with
22:34the early challenge here

23:11and it's not
23:12it looked to me like it was
23:13all SGA on that swipe down
23:15with the arm
23:32but Ben Taylor Jason Goldenberg
23:36still looking at it
23:42Jalen Williams also in the
23:44vicinity but I don't see much
23:45contact with him
23:48but did he get the ball
23:51there and then the swipe down
23:53yeah good it's really close
23:57that's why it's an extended look
23:59by the officials
24:03got called on a previous
24:04possession on a push-off on
24:05Andre Drummond
24:09about 25 feet from the basket
24:16the fact that it's taken as
24:17long as it is tells you that
24:19they're thinking about it and
24:20maybe the contact was with the
24:21basketball first
24:22on some of these angles it's
24:23hard to see
24:25because there was contact late
24:27but if you get the ball first
24:30well that's right
24:31might be enough to convince the
24:33officials
24:33to overturn this let's see
24:36I mean we're getting in
24:37extra slow motion here
24:38there's the contact with the
24:40ball first then on the right
24:41arm
24:42kind of like the
24:44swipe down
24:46after making contact
24:52the longer this goes you feel
24:54like it's more advantageous for
24:55OKC
24:56I just think it's you know it's
24:58really close but I think it's in
25:00favor of SGA possibly but here
25:03we go folks let's see
25:07after you see the shake you'll get
25:09Alexander gets ball first and then
25:10knocks knocks the ball clean
25:12it's going to be overturned to a
25:13no call
25:14in the immediate aftermath of the
25:16play two players had a chance to
25:18get to the basketball so it'll be
25:19a jump ball at center circle
25:21between 82 players the challenge
25:23is successful since it is
25:24successful they will get their
25:25time out back and have the
25:26ability to challenge further in
25:28the game
25:29successful challenge for Mark
25:31Dagnall that wipes away the
25:32third foul on SGA and you can see
25:34a baffled Nick Nurse I don't
25:36think that he saw the replays
25:38that we did Michael because if
25:39you look at the jumbotron which
25:40is what everybody's looking at
25:42in this arena you see that
25:44swipe down and on first look it
25:46looks like he gets all on but
25:48then when you slow it down he
25:50does make contact with the ball
25:51first
25:52and that's what the officials saw
25:55as well it's going to be a
25:57jump ball no eminent
25:58possession after the ball was
26:04dislodged it's good thing I
26:06didn't put any chips in that
26:06time because I got a little
26:07hasty with my reaction now we
26:12got some kind of delay going on
26:14underneath the basket here some
26:17kind of equipment issue looks
26:22like a microphone hanging as
26:29drummond is showing his engineering
26:32skills
26:37it looked like for a moment he was
26:39able to get it back in today yo
26:41perfect
26:43second effort all it took
26:47and might as well get the tallest
26:48guy on the floor up there to
26:51clean it up nice to be six foot
26:52eleven
26:54seven with a seven foot six
26:56wingspan
26:57I don't know if they're going to
26:58like the fact that there's still
26:59some wiring that's kind of hanging
27:01down loose
27:05drawing the
27:07UConn Husky
27:08his UConn Huskies are still alive
27:11and it's still alive that took
27:12down UCLA last night in this
27:15building
27:15it was fantastic
27:16it was a great result
27:25so after that lengthy review
27:28that ends up in the favor of OKC
27:30McCain on the flare out
