00:00:43Take a look at the Western Conference standings. Lakers on a roll. They've won seven in a row,
00:00:49which means they've created a little space between themselves and their nearest pursuer,
00:00:54the Minnesota Timberwolves, and they're looking to create a little more real estate again here
00:00:59tonight. Hello again, everybody, and welcome. This is game three of the six-game road trip. So far,
00:01:05so good. Winning two in Houston. Now it's Miami. And the great news for you watching,
00:01:12all the big three are going to play tonight for the Lakers on the back end of this back-to
00:01:17-back.
00:01:17You know what it seems like to me, Bill? I mean, they're getting such a good chemistry,
00:01:21and they're starting to hold each other accountable. So no, like, taking days off.
00:01:26They know what they want to accomplish in. Luka is one of those that is getting the job done. I
00:01:32mean,
00:01:32the leading scorer in the league last night against the Rockets, he put up 40 people along with 10
00:01:37assists and nine boards. And he just dazzled the crowd at times. And they were talking to him,
00:01:43and he was talking back to them. And then there was a guy by the name of LeBron James. I

00:01:49idea why he got involved the way he did last night. I mean, he, from start to finish, was the
00:01:56man.
00:01:5730 points, made 13 out of 14. And he had a couple of highlight plays, had that rocket crowd on
00:02:04their
00:02:04feet. Well, Miami currently try to crawl themselves into the top six as far as the East is concerned.
00:02:10The big news for them over the last couple of weeks is obviously, out of nowhere, last week,
00:02:16Bam Adebayo had a monster scoring game. Yeah, and he's going to need a big game again tonight, too,
00:02:21because he's their offensive focal point. He averages about 20 on the year, and he's very
00:02:27versatile. He can score from the inside to mid-range. And at times, Egan steps out and shoots the long
00:02:33balls. Rebounds pretty well, protects the rim as well. So very, very valuable player for them.
00:02:39Speaking of valuable, Tyler Hero, I mean, this is a valuable guy for one reason and one reason
00:02:44only. He can shoot the basketball. And the error we're shooting is prime. He's their prime guy.
00:02:50I mean, he's a three-point specialist, averaging 21 on the year.

00:03:55just about every record there is to break. See if the Lakers can make it eight in a row.

00:05:05and then rebounding. The Lakers have got to improve, especially on the defensive rebounding in this game.

00:05:18this team?
00:05:19Yes, Billy Lakers got in very late, probably around 5 a.m. at the hotel, but that didn't keep everybody
00:05:25from being on the floor and available to play. And if you just want to look at the seven-game
00:05:29winning streak
00:05:29and figure the biggest reason why the Lakers are having success, you can certainly point to the
00:05:34connectivity they have, but how about Luka Doncic? I mean, he has been absolutely ridiculous. Look at
00:05:39these numbers during the winning streak. 38 points. He's doing it on efficient shooting. Those are tough
00:05:45three-pointers, by the way. And then nearly the triple-double when you incorporate the rebounds
00:05:49and the assists. I asked J.J. Redick what has stood out about him, and he said, look, I mean,
00:05:53the bottom line is he's playing just as well as anybody in the game right now. J.J. thinks
00:05:58he should be very much a part of the MVP conversation. He is certainly leading this
00:06:03team on and off the floor, and he's going to try to do so tonight in a tricky back-to
00:06:08-back

00:07:23but they have now lost two straight. They're trying to right the ship here tonight against
