00:04The Knicks basketball is on MSG and it is presented by Chase as tonight it's the Knicks playing host in
00:09New Orleans as we celebrate women's empowerment night. The Knicks wanted a good start Sunday night against Washington and Jalen
00:16Brunson helped the cause with 12 of his 23 in the first quarter. It was a blowout win for the
00:22Knicks. Their eighth victory by at least 30 points this season. That's a franchise record. And how about Tyler Kolick.
00:28He scored 42 in the G League during the afternoon and scored 11 more in the fourth quarter. An amazing
00:34day and night for him as the Knicks rolled 145-113. Knicks take the court tonight. They've won six games
00:40in a row and they're going to have to slow down Zion Williamson. He's had a solid year for the
00:45Pelicans and Mike Brown said pregame. Knicks have to stop him and his physical drives to the basket. Hi everyone.
00:53I'm Bill Peter. Great to have you with us. So the Knicks on that six game winning streak all against
00:57under 500 teams.
00:58And while the Pelicans are under 500, they played some pretty solid basketball of late. 12-7 over the last
01:0519 games.
01:06Caesars Sportsbook presents tonight's advanced stats and down the stretch we go including tonight only 10 games left.
01:12Knicks are a half game behind the Celtics for the second seed. Knicks own the tiebreaker. Boston is idle tonight.
01:17After tonight, five of the next six for the Knicks are away from home. Seven of the remaining 10 against
01:23teams above 500.
01:25And the Knicks this season, 24-19 against teams that are above 500.
01:29As we go down to our Hall of Famers, Mike Brain and Clyde Frazier, guys.
01:33Bailey P., thanks. Good evening, everyone.
01:35When you go up and down the Knicks roster and look at the ages, sometimes it's hard to believe.
01:39Josh Hart is the second oldest Knick. Just turned 31.
01:43Only Jordan Clarkson is older than Hart.
01:45But when you watch how much energy and how hard he plays night in and night out, you know why
01:50he's beloved here in New York, Clyde.
01:51Despite being now 31 years old, it's his fourth year he has an impact on winning every single night.
01:57Yeah, we mentioned the reckless abandon that he brings to the game, but it's been his offense lately, folks, especially
02:02the three ball.
02:04The heart has been feasting from behind the arc. You know about his bounding and astounding.
02:09He's also augmenting the game with this stopping and popping in the two-point range.
02:14And then a penetration off the drive, but this is why we love and admire him.
02:18His audacity going to the glass with gusto, creating havoc and mayhem, averaging 12.7 pounds, five assists, propelling the
02:28Knicks now.
02:29And this year he has added the three-point weapon.
02:32That's a career-high 40%.
02:33As you saw the note, nine straight. That's one shy of tying the Knicks record.
02:38Now, as Billy P. mentioned, the Pelicans, their overall record is not good.
02:42They're 11th in the West.
02:43They started the season 3-22, but that guy started to play.
02:47And all of a sudden, the last 33 games, they're over .500.
02:51When he's healthy, he's one of the brightest stars in the game.
02:53Yeah, you know, he's been an enigma because of his health, being overweight.
02:57But right now he's in shape, and he's making the league pay.
03:01Former number one pick overall out of Duke.
03:04So he has it all. He does it all.
03:05Six-foot-six, 40-inch vertical.
03:08This man is 285 pounds, folks, sky-ing and slamming and jamming.
03:14So, you know, he likes to play at the Garden.
03:16This is on his third appearance playing at the Garden.
03:19He won once, and he lost once.
03:20So you can see he's going to bring tenacity and audacity.
03:24Knicks have to contain him.
03:25A lot of impressive numbers, but the most impressive,
03:28he's played in 45 of the last 46 games.
03:31Finally healthy, good for the Pelicans, and good for the NBA.
03:34Of course, another former Pelican, not just Josh Hart.
03:37Jose Alvarado, his first four and a half years in the league with New Orleans.
03:41He was a fan favorite there with the Pelicans.
03:43They talked glowingly about him before the game.
03:46And tonight he'll play his 21st game with his new team,
03:49his hometown team, the New York Knicks.
03:51Right now, let's get things started
03:53and go to PA announcer, the great Mike Wolszewski.
03:59Good evening, everyone, and welcome to Madison Square Garden,
04:03the world's most famous arena.
04:06Tonight's matchup features the New Orleans Pelicans.
04:12And your New York Knicks.
04:16Tonight is Women's Empowerment Night.
04:19Throughout the game, we'll tell impactful stories
04:22of women around the community.
04:31The New York Knicks are proud to announce Carl Anthony Towns
04:35as the NBA Cares Bob Lanier Community Assist Award recipient
04:39for the month of February.
04:43Towns' efforts throughout the season

04:48to donate over 600 coats to local families,
04:52fulfill wishes from the Make-A-Wish Foundation,

04:57with life-threatening medical conditions,
05:00and being a community leader and ambassador
05:03for the Dominican and Hispanic communities.
05:14Congratulations, Carl Anthony Towns,
05:17on receiving the February 26th NBA Cares Bob Lanier Community Assist Award.
05:23Here presenting the award president of the New York Knicks, Leon Rose,
05:27and executive vice president and senior basketball advisor,
05:31William Wesley.
05:32Once again, on behalf of the New York Knicks,
05:35thanks, Carl, and congratulations.
05:44Knicks and the Pelicans getting ready to tip off here
05:47at Madison Square Garden, the Pelicans' only visit of the season.
05:51Zion Williamson on the court at Madison Square Garden,
05:53only the third time in his career.
05:55Hi, everybody.
05:56Alan Hahn here at the Lexus GameSide studio.
05:58Carl Anthony Towns has had quite a run here
06:00after the All-Star break, and look at his numbers
06:03as we take a look at the Chipotle real difference maker.
06:06He has been.
06:07In the last seven games, those numbers are fantastic, 56% as well,
06:12and he continues to lead the way for the Knicks down the stretch.
06:15Pelicans and Knicks coming up next.
06:35And at guard at 6'2 from Villanova, number 11,
06:44Jalen Branson, the head coach of the New York Knicks, Mike Brown.
06:55Let's play ball.
07:09Lights, camera, act, check on the back.
07:11Start the show, we about to get it crackin'.
07:14All I know, I want it more than you imagine.
07:17Everybody stand up, we about to make it happen.
07:19Let's go!
07:20On its feet, Miss Brown, the other side.
07:23Everybody stand up.
07:24The big man bringing it up the floor.
07:26We about to make it happen.
07:27It's inside, and it throws it.
07:29Everybody stand up.
07:30It's shaking right now.
07:32Everybody stand up.
07:35Everybody stand up.
07:36Everybody stand up.
07:37We about to make it happen.
07:40No standing still, I'ma take a shot.
07:42Now I'm gonna rock my horses, even gonna rock my handers.
07:44Like every time that I come out, leave them all in the stadium shot.
07:47Liberty time, put me down, look them on the air,
07:50on the top, yeah.
07:52We about to make it happen.
07:55We about to make it happen.
07:56Start the show, we about to get it crackin'.
08:00All I know, I want it more than you imagine.
08:03We about to make it happen.
08:25Tuesday night at Madison Square Garden.
08:27Sellout crowd.
08:28Dixon, the Pelicans starting lineups presented by Genesis and the normal and expected starting
08:33five for head coach Mike Brown.
08:36Meanwhile, a starting five, now that they're healthy, a formidable one for the Pelicans
08:40with Murray back from his injury.
08:42Trey Murphy, Sadiq Bey, Zion Williamson, just great to see him healthy.
08:46And Herbert Jones, Herb Jones, the fine defender for the Pelicans.
08:52Ten games to go.
08:53As Bill Pito said at the top, but down the stretch they come.
08:56I think he wants to be a horse-raising announcer, but he's right.
08:59Ten games, hard to believe Clyde, only ten games left.
09:02I know, ten is my favorite number, Mike.
09:05Yes, I've kind of figured that out over time.
09:11Brunson chasing Jones.
09:12Jones spins, goes right at Brunson.
09:15Nice and scores the bucket.
09:16Yeah, Jones 6'8, Brunson 6'2.
09:19Posting and toasting him that time.
09:22Jones only averages nine points per game.
09:24It looked like he wanted right away to go and get the first bucket.
09:31Brunson kicks it back out.
09:33Brunson swings it, and an OB, corner three, first one's good.
09:37Mediocre game last time, OG, only nine points.
09:41So off to an auspicious start with a three ball.
09:46Pelicans, nine and 25 on the road as Zion Williamson goes in strong.
09:52So quick for a big man, and an easy bucket for Williamson.
09:55Matador D by the Knicks that time, especially Brunson.
10:00The thing to remember about Williamson,
10:01he's still only 25 years old.
10:04Seems like he's been in the league for 10 years or more.
10:07Towns gets bumped.
10:08Shot won't go.
10:09Sadiq Bae call for the foul.
10:13Time for our GMC keys to the game.
10:15We are professional greats here, your local GMC dealer, Clyde.
10:18You know, defense, you always need that.
10:20Cat or tack.
10:21So he went to the rack this time.
10:23He's at the line looking for two.
10:24Bounding and astounding.
10:27Who are these guys, Mike?
10:30They're the New Orleans Pelicans.
10:31The Pelicans are not a good rebounding team.
10:34Actually, folks, they're playing small ball.
10:36They are without a center.
10:38Their tallest player is like 6'8".
10:40So it's cat.
10:41It's been bounding and astounding, creating havoc.
10:44So they should feature him.
10:45He makes his first free throw.
10:47Has one more coming.
10:48Yeah, Williamson is basically their center to start the game.
10:52Not an easy matchup for any center in the league, certainly for Karl-Anthony Towns.
10:57Reasons only 6'6".
11:00Previously eluding Bridges.
11:03Towns continues his excellent free throw shooting in for a guy his size, 85% on the season.
11:11So do the Knicks, they were 18 and 19 from the line in the last game.
11:14Here's DeJounte Murray.
11:16Murray, long three-pointer and gets that to go.
11:20This is just his 11th game of the season.
11:23He tore his Achilles last year, a little over a year ago, so he's returned, much like Jason
11:29Tatum.
11:30And Murray's averaging 18 points, folks.
11:33And an OB-CAN head ball tipped nicely by Jones.
11:36Murray's has been the catalyst for his run buddy by New Orleans.
11:40So in the last 10 games, they're 7-3 because of the powers of Murray.
11:45Trey Murphy, an excellent three-point shooter, misses that, Hart the rebound, looks to push.
11:50Knicks, of course, here at home, an excellent home record, 26-9 at the Garden.
11:54Hart on a give-and-go, throws it away.
11:57And the Pelicans only 9 and 25 on the road.
12:01They've not been a very good road team.
12:03They have no reason to tank tonight, folks.
12:05They do not have a first-rounder in the draft.
12:09And how wonderful is that?
12:11So, their big players will play down the stretch.
12:14Sadiq Bae knocks down the three.
12:16The last time the Knicks played this team was back in December, and Bae had 21 points in
12:23the first quarter.
12:24Make that 23.
12:25Another Villanova guy, Bae, now the steal.
12:28Oh!
12:28That's what they do.
12:29Steals and deflections.
12:30One of their strengths.
12:32And layup.
12:32Oh!
12:33He missed it.
12:34Ball back loose.
12:35Murphy's upset.
12:37He's sitting.
12:37Look at the official staring.
12:38Thought he got fouled.
12:40So, the Knicks got a break.
12:42The ball was in and out.
12:43The Pelicans retain it underneath.
12:45He's shaking his head.
12:46The whole bench was upset.
12:47It did appear to be contact.
12:49There's James Borrego.
12:51Borrego's the interim coach.
12:53That was a little contact by Hart.
12:58And...
13:00They think Borrego might survive, Mike, because it is.
13:03The team is suffering these days.
13:05He's still considered an interim.
13:07Side of the backboard.
13:08Missed it.
13:09But, Clyde, he's done a really good job.
13:11They have competitors.
13:12They're connected.
13:13And now they're healthy and showing that they can be a really good team.
13:16Brunson.
13:17Beautiful.
13:18Backer off the glass.
13:20Brunson always a tip.
13:21Weaving and achieving.
13:23Got to take away his left hand.
13:27Again, this is a talented starting five.
13:30Lot of different options for these Pelicans.
13:33Nice move.
13:34They can't hit.
13:35Downs quick outlet.
13:38Bridges finally getting double digits the last game.
13:41Brunson drives.
13:42Get him and going.
13:43Yep.
13:44A couple of spin moves from Brunson.
13:46Off balance.
13:47Throws it up there.
13:48Shot won't go.
13:48Good defense by Williamson.
13:50Stand on his feet.
13:52Harassing Brunson.
13:53Murphy to Murray.
13:54Back up top.
13:55Sadiq Bey.
13:55There'll be no hesitation there.
13:57And he drills another one.
13:58Bay's in line for a huge contract, folks.
14:01He's only making.
14:02Mike, can you tell how crazy the money is?
14:05He's only making six million this year, folks.
14:08He's having a career year.
14:09Over 17 per game.
14:11So he's gonna look to get 15 or 20 million on the four-year deal.
14:16OG and I know we got his big deal.
14:18Gets his first dunk of the night.
14:20Yeah, five points now for OG.
14:24A lot of scoring early.
14:26Murray misses.
14:28Towns couldn't quite corral it.
14:29It was a long rebound.
14:30Murray made his first threes.
14:31He's missed his last two threes now.
14:34Bay now throws it back up top.
14:36Five under 24.
14:39That three-pointer misses from Jones and Ananobi with a rebound.
14:43You see they're not looking to feature Zion on the perimeter.
14:50The Pelican is looking to go on the perimeter now.
14:54Hey!
14:54They couldn't get it to go.
14:56Ananobi did a good job.
14:57Nix did not get back, but Ananobi sprinted back, but able to contest that shot.
15:01As Bridges, knocking down his first shot of the night.
15:05Yeah, you'd like to see Bridges is suited in rhythm.
15:08That action on the right elbow right in front of the Nick Pence.
15:11He was six for 11 from the field on Sunday.
15:17There's Murphy.
15:18Murphy their best three baller.
15:21It's also their leading score.
15:23Jones tries another three and knocks that one down.
15:26That's not Jones Forte.
15:28It's Forte's defense.
15:29He's only 30% from three.
15:32Ananobi shut off by Williamson.
15:33A lot of contact.
15:34Two strong dudes there.
15:36And a foul on Williamson.
15:38Williamson just frustrated with the persistence of OG.
15:42So OG opened the game.
15:44That's the OG open the game with a three ball, then a two ball.
15:49And now a ration Williamson into this folly.
15:53See, fouled him.
15:54He's at the line for two.
15:57You just watched that replay and you realize what a contact sport this is.
16:02And look how slim Zion is.
16:04He's lost a lot of weight, folks.
16:06Well, it's in his contract.
16:08You know, his contract is predicated on his weight and how many games he participates in.
16:13He's played in 55 of the 72.
16:16He missed 10 games early in the season with a hamstring injury.
16:20But the number one stat for him.
16:22And we showed this at the top of the telecast.
16:24He's played 45 of the last 46.
16:27Yep.
16:28He's averaging 21 points.
16:29Five a pound.
16:31A talent like that, you just want to see him out on the floor.
16:34He's such a dynamic player.
16:38Eve Meesey is in the game.
16:40He's now their center.
16:42Meesey's just a rebounder, shot blocker.
16:46Jones very aggressive offensively.
16:49He draws the foul on Brunson.
16:51And we'll have our first timeout.
16:55Nixon in an early two-point hole.
16:58Well, it's just over six and a half remaining.
17:02Chip Betts in just a few taps.
17:04It's made with New Yorkers in mind.
17:06It's direct.
17:07It's no-nonsense.
17:08And it's the best way to join in on all the sports betting action.
17:17Knicks down by two here in this first quarter.

17:34Well, we've talked a lot about the first quarter slow starts.
17:38And a lot of it has to do with the opponent's three-point shooting.
17:42The Pelicans have hit four of seven already here in the first, Clyde.
17:45Yeah, that's been problematic for the Knicks all season, defending and making threes.
17:52Albeit the last game, the Knicks made 17 threes, but the opposition, the Wizards made 18.
17:59So they've really got to pick it up there from behind the arc.
18:01Half of the Pelican shots have been from three.
18:04Williamson counted and a foul.
18:05Look how he cruises and bruises, folks.
18:08You definitely can't let him go to his strength, which is his left hand.
18:12Watch how easy he makes this look.
18:15How agile and mobile this man is.
18:17It's 6'6", 285 pounds.
18:20Look at that.
18:21Creativity.
18:22So he's at the line for one as well.
18:24Four tough play.
18:25Built for tough play.
18:26Presented by your local Ford stores.
18:28Remember, he was number one.
18:29Job was number two.
18:31And we got our man number three.
18:34RJ Barrett.
18:35RJ Barrett.
18:36Can you believe it's seven years already?
18:39It's crazy.
18:40Wow.
18:42Williamson missed one entire year because of injury and a lot of other seasons missed multiple,
18:49multiple games.
18:50Brunson double-team back up top.
18:52Ananobi fakes, now drives, goes inside.
18:54Beautiful feed.
18:55And Ananobi with the assist to Towns.
18:57OG very catalytic dishing and switching.
19:00Nice creativity that time.
19:03Knicks are shooting 62%.
19:05They're five of eight from the field.
19:07A couple of threes.
19:08But they still trail by three.
19:11Jones looking for his offense.
19:13Hands it off.
19:14Williamson an easy layup.
19:17Cruisin' and bruisin' again.
19:19Seven points already for Zion Williamson.
19:22He's three for three from the field.
19:23Towns hits a three.
19:25Knicks have hit three and five already from beyond the arc.
19:29Towns keeps falling and appalling them.
19:32Bounding and astounding.
19:34He's been magnificent.
19:36Murray goes diagonal.
19:39Murphy fouled by Bridges.
19:41Well the first meeting between these two was December 29th in New Orleans.
19:45The score half of the first quarter was 41-37 Pelicans.
19:50And we're off to that kind of start so far here in this one.
19:54High scoring.
19:55Yeah, the final score was 125-130.
19:59The Knicks have rebelled in that game.
20:01And as the interim coach we alluded to.
20:03He took over after they started 2-10.
20:05Willie Green was let go.
20:07James Borrego's had head coaching experience.
20:09And as we said earlier, we think he's done an excellent job.
20:12Larego used to be at Charlotte.
20:14Oh, Mitchell Robinson altering that shot.
20:17Not sure if he's going to get credit with a block there as Bridges throws it to Brunson.
20:21Right back up top.
20:22Bridges sets, fires, can't hit the three.
20:24Clarkson keeps it alive.
20:28Clarkson's been making a lot of hustle plays recently, Clyde.
20:30Not just scoring.
20:31Yeah, ironically, Brunson did not have a rebound in the previous game.
20:34Coming up with this one.
20:36Crossover.
20:36Three-pointers.
20:37Good.
20:37Knicks red hot from downtown.
20:39Four of seven.
20:40And one of our keys bounding and astounding because the Knicks averaged 13 offensive bounds.
20:45And a lot of times they capitalize on second opportunities as they did there.
20:49Murray scoots inside.
20:51Can't get the roll.
20:52Rebound.
20:52Back up and in.
20:53Meesey.
20:55Meesey 6-11.
20:57Doing a good job running this shot.
20:59He was born in Belgium.
21:00Grew up in Cameroon.
21:01Played college basketball at Baylor.
21:03And he's become a very important part of this team and for their future.
21:07Yep, he's averaging six points.
21:09Nine bounds as Meesey.
21:11Clarkson kicks it out.
21:12Hart passed up the three.
21:13Now drives off the glass.
21:15Can't get it.
21:16Robinson can, however.
21:18Back out to Hart.
21:19That's what we mean.
21:19The second opportunities again for the Knicks.
21:22Brunson.
21:23In and out.
21:24Previously, Brunson able to can it from there.
21:28Williamson.
21:30Give him room.
21:31He's not shooting from the perimeter.
21:32Bridges pokes it away.
21:34Murphy gets it.
21:35Launches his three-pointer.
21:36And Mitchell Robinson already three rebounds in his first first minute on the floor.
21:41You see these guys have no discipline.
21:43Whatever they do, they shake and bake and put up any type of shot.
21:47Not a good shot selection.
21:48Clarkson to Robinson and a foul.
21:51What soft touch with one hand on a beautiful pass from Jordan Clarkson.
21:56And let's take a look at Robinson.
21:59That's a good pick.
22:01And this is the oldest play in the game, folks.
22:04One of them.
22:04Pick and roll.
22:05Working to perfection.
22:07We mentioned Robinson, his great hands.
22:09Watch how easily he tips that ball in.
22:13Madison Square Garden, MSG has launched a thank you NYPD campaign.
22:19And I am pleased to be joined here by assistant chief Aaron Edwards, who has been a hero for NYPD
22:25recently.
22:25It is an amazing story that a lot of people have heard about.
22:29What happened at Gracie Mansion where you jumped right into action at a rally where you saw a bomb.
22:37And you went right to action, which, of course, we expect from a police officer.
22:41But we ask athletes this all the time.
22:43I want to ask you this all the time.
22:44What was going through your mind in that moment?
22:47In that moment, you know, there's not a lot of thought.
22:49It's all instinct.
22:50There's a bad guy doing something very bad.
22:52And, you know, my job is to go after him.
22:55Well, what do you think about what we are doing here at the Garden?
22:58The thank you NYPD concert this Saturday and just honoring the police?
23:02Yeah, you know, so the incident, you know, a couple of Saturdays ago just shows that the work that the
23:06NYPD does is real important work.
23:09It's a tough job.
23:10It's a really tough job.
23:11That was a tough situation.
23:12We had a lot of cops working.
23:13They all jumped into action and did a great job.
23:15And so to get the acknowledgement from MSG, this thank you campaign is something that the cops need.
23:20You know, we know that the majority of New Yorkers, they love their police.
23:23But to hear it, you know, to hear them say thank you, it means a lot.
23:27We appreciate you so much.
23:29And the one quote that stood out to appreciate the most was, you said, once a cop, always a cop.
23:33An incredible action photo as well of Aaron springing to action.
23:37Mike, Clyde.
23:38Thank you, Alan.
23:40That gentleman is a hero.
23:42And it's wonderful what the garden is doing for the NYPD.
23:45I had a chance to meet him, his wife, and his two young sons who love Jalen Brunson.
23:49Of course, the kids.
23:51And, you know, Clyde, for police as Jones banks in it, they put their life on the line every single
23:59day they go to work.
24:00Yep, we definitely appreciate that.
24:03And making us feel safe every night here at the world's most famous arena.
24:07So thank you to Assistant Chief Edwards.
24:09I hope he's enjoying the game with his family.
24:14Mitchell Robinson, by the way, hitting that free throw.
24:19Bridges kicks it out.
24:20Clarkson looks up at the shot clock.
24:21He's got to get it off.
24:22Just does in time and gets it a go.
24:24Clarkson already has sparked off the bench.
24:26Clarkson a good, bad shot shooter.
24:28Fall back baby jumper that time.
24:3015 feet away.
24:34The defense has been very intense.
24:36Got playoff atmosphere going on here.
24:39Queen and Fears both in.
24:40Robinson with a foul.
24:41And he said he didn't touch him.
24:43The two rookies that have been so impressive for the Pelicans.
24:46Jeremiah Fears.
24:47And this is Derrick Queen going to the basket.
24:50Queen's a terrible, Mike.
24:53Look at him, hanging and banging.
24:57Making Spencer proud.
24:59Folks, New Orleans is a big easy.
25:01It's one of the few cities that I actually wine and dine with the crew.
25:05The crew has always liked me to go out.
25:07I go out.
25:08I'm room serving.
25:09You love that cage of food.
25:10Right.
25:10But in New Orleans.
25:11Our favorite place.
25:12Let's go to Giacomo's.
25:14Yep.
25:14And I actually saw Mike pick up a tab.
25:18Goodness gracious.
25:21Of course, I expensed it.
25:25Queen knocks down the free throw.
25:27So Fears is 19.
25:29Queen is 21.
25:31They played a lot of minutes early with all the injuries that this team had.
25:34Got a lot of starts.
25:35And they both, both look impressive.
25:38Mo Diawara, speaking of rookies, in for the Knicks.
25:41Brunson drives.
25:43Look at Queen moving those feet.
25:44Brunson now found some room and knocks down the shot.
25:47So early points for Brunson.
25:49He hesitated and Brunson got a step on the baseline.
25:53Able to switch it through.
25:55Bordy had nine lead changes here in the first quarter.
25:59The tempo slowed down a little bit.
26:01Murphy Clarkson fights over the screen.
26:03Murphy throws it in the corner.
26:05Fears launches.
26:06Can't get it.
26:07Clarkson a rebound.
26:11Clarkson back to Ananobi.
26:13Walks into a three.
26:14Knocks it down.
26:15Good recognition from Clarkson.
26:17That's his third assist already.
26:19And we've seen proliferation by OG.
26:21The last game, hey, the steal by Clarkson.
26:24Clarkson drives inside.
26:27Tries again.
26:28Left-handed.
26:29Lays it up.
26:29It's the Jordan Clarkson show here off the bench in the first quarter.
26:33And the Knicks have a six-point lead.
26:35And the OG show.
26:37The last game, OG nine points in 28 minutes.
26:40Now he has 10 points early on.
26:44So he opened the game with a three ball, then a two ball.
26:47So he and Zion have been going at it.
26:50And watch Clarkson now.
26:54Looking underneath.
26:55And OG standing on the line that time.
26:58Only a deuce.
26:59And there's a steal by Clarkson.
27:02Remember he set up Robinson with the alley-oop.
27:04And now he's wheeling and dealing and thrilling in the fake with the left hand.
27:10Replay presented by Heineken.
27:12Enjoy Heineken responsibly.
27:13You know, we've been talking, Clyde, in the last couple of weeks.
27:16He started off slowly, then had a really good stretch.
27:19And then was out of the rotation.
27:21But to show what a great professional was, he's still ready when called upon.
27:26Still competes and plays so hard.
27:29And it was a wonderful article today in the New York Post.
27:32Stefan Bondi emphasized what we've been talking about.
27:35And how Clarkson, he's just stayed ready and stayed committed to the team.
27:39We watch him when he's not playing.
27:42And the team does well.
27:44He's the first guy off the bench.
27:45He's the first guy congratulating others.
27:48And it's great to show that professionalism.
27:50And we can attribute that, Mike, to he's the oldest Knicks folk.
27:54He's been there, done that.
27:56So he knows he wanted to come to New York.
27:59He got a buyout with Utah.
28:00He wanted to be here.
28:02So he sacrificed whatever he has to do to make this team better.
28:06Reminder, you can take the game with you.
28:08Stream live, Nick Games, hours of on-demand content anywhere you go.
28:11Download the Gotham Sports app free with your MSG TV subscription.
28:15Of course, it all kind of turned for him, that game in Utah.
28:19Mo Cheeks told Mike Brown, we need to give him a shot tonight.
28:22He went in there after that horrible start the Knicks had.
28:25Had 27 points, and he was integral in that victory.
28:29And that's the start of the six-game winning streak.
28:32Yeah, since then, he's been very efficient.
28:36Sadiq Bey pulls back out, up top.
28:41Here's Queen.
28:42Queen can handle a ball for a big man.
28:43Yeah, he's 6'9.
28:45Soft touch-warm go.
28:46Robinson grabs another rebound.
28:56Knicks are shooting 12 of 18 from the field.
29:00And New Orleans has played good defense.
29:03But the Knicks are very defiant.
29:05Look at Brunson.
29:07And Anobi chased off.
29:08Inside Clarkson, up top!
29:10Another feed!
29:11And an alley up to Robinson, who immediately points at him.
29:14The ESP between those two has been mesmerizing.
29:19Ball deflected out of bounds.
29:21And Clarkson, in five minutes, has four points, three assists, two rebounds, and a steal.
29:26Two stupendous passes to Robinson.
29:28One was alley-oop, and this is a touch pass with the sweet stuff.
29:34Murphy.
29:35Oh!
29:36Back to Meesey.
29:37Here's Fears.
29:38Fears are so fast.
29:40Misses that, though.
29:41And Anobi with a rebound.
29:44Under a minute to play in the first.
29:47Brunson's at Revy.
29:50Brunson.
29:51Brunson pulls back.
29:52Tries another three-pointer.
29:53Got it!
29:54Knicks are red hot.
29:56Shooting the ball here on the first.
29:57Brunson's got 10 and an 11-point lead.
30:00Maestro styling and profiling after that three ball.
30:0412 straight points.
30:08After the Knicks trail by six.
30:10So a 17-point turnaround here in the opening quarter.
30:14And an impregnable Knick defense as well.
30:17As it popped away, Diawara helps out and is fouled.
30:20Anna Nobe with the initial steal.
30:22And Diawara gets fouled, so he'll shoot free throws.
30:26Suffocating Nick D now.
30:28Before it was Clarkson.
30:30This time Diawara.
30:32But OG providing the impetus.
30:35And there's a steal by Diawara.
30:37So Steve Brunson dancing and prancing right there.
30:42Stopping and popping straight on with the hoop.
30:44With the switch.
30:45That's actually only the fourth team foul for the Pelicans.
30:48So not in the penalty.
30:50First in the last two minutes.
30:52Knicks will hold it for the final shot.
30:54Yeah, obviously the Pelicans have no more fouls to get.
30:58Brunson has had his weight.
31:00OG has had his weight.
31:01Clarkson has been doing it as well.
31:07Brunson looking.
31:09Leans in on Jones.
31:10Feeds Clarkson.
31:11Clarkson back up top.
31:12And an OB straight on three.
31:14It's good.
31:15At the buzzer.
31:16What a finish.
31:17What a flurry.
31:18To end the first 15 straight points.
31:21And the Knicks have a 14 point lead.
31:25And you know what I say, Mike.
31:27I love it.
31:29I love it.
31:30I love it.
31:56That's a nice play as well.
31:58Again, the Knicks trailed by six in the opening minutes.
32:02So it was a 20 point turnaround.
32:05And an OB red hot.
32:0613 points to lead everybody.
32:07Diora goes inside.
32:09Lost the handle.
32:10Picked up by Fierce.
32:12Fierce's first round pick.
32:14Seven picks overall, folks, out of Oklahoma.
32:17So he's averaging 13 a game.
32:20Fears drives.
32:21Left handed.
32:22Backs at home.
32:23I mentioned his feline quickness.
32:24And dexterity that time they get to.
32:26He is the definition of feline quickness.
32:30Town strides again.
32:31Can't hit.
32:32Long rebound.
32:33Williamson comes out of it.
32:35Carlo Matkovich getting his first minutes for the Pelicans.
32:39Queen spots up.
32:41Three pointer on the corner.
32:42Can't hit it.
32:42Towns quick outlet.
32:45So Jose playing against his former team.
32:47You know he's percolating.
32:49No, it's the only other team he's played for besides the next four and a half years with the Pelicans.
32:54They didn't draft him, but they gave him his first contractor.
32:57Two-way deal.
32:58And an OB can't hit.
33:00Good boxing out that time.
33:02From Jones.
33:03Here comes Fierce.
33:05His brother Mike plays with Michigan State.
33:07Yeah, he's a good player too.
33:16One and done for New Orleans.
33:18Nobody.
33:19There's.
33:20Thalon Williamson.
33:22Oh no.
33:22It's on Matkovich.
33:23My mistake.
33:25Our Chevy time on the court.
33:26Presented by ChevyOffers.com.
33:29Remember Jose out of New York was not drafted as he attended Georgia Tech for four years.
33:36He is.
33:36Was a fan favorite and still will be.
33:39Certainly next time the Knicks go to New Orleans next season.
33:46Diora with eight to shoot.
33:48Proud has been in a frenzy with the opposite prowess of the Knicks.
33:52Especially this man.
33:53Markson drives inside.
33:54High off the glass.
33:56Can't get it to go.
33:56Quick outlet.
33:57Nice pass from Queen.
33:58And a slam.
34:01Herb Jones with the finish.
34:03The Queen set that up.
34:05And that's the kid out of Maryland.
34:07He's the 13th pick.
34:08He's the first round of the 13th pick by the Pelicans.
34:13Nearly stolen.
34:14Queen's got two triple doubles this year.
34:17And a foul call.
34:19Let's go against Jones.
34:21That's gonna be his first.
34:25Queen is 6'9 folks.
34:27Rising and surprising him with that one.
34:42Downs.
34:42Up top Ananobi.
34:44He's been hot early.
34:45Not that time.
34:46Matkovich the rebound.
34:48Matkovich is a good energy player for the Pelicans off the bench.
34:53Matkovich only a second rounder.
34:56Inside.
34:57And Queen overpowering down low.
35:02And a little energy here by the Pelicans after the Knicks were on the rampage.
35:08Cut to 8.
35:09Clarkson goes back door and he's fouled by Jones.
35:11A little free throws for Clarkson.
35:21Take a look at Queen right here.
35:24Overwhelming.
35:26The Knicks underneath like Zion's a big man.
35:30He's 250 pounds.
35:32He had a little words as he went up the floor for DOR.
35:37He always looks like he's having fun out there at Derrick Queen.
35:41See number 13 pick as mentioned.
35:45Mention he's a Terrapin.
35:46Only one year at Maryland.
35:48Now you mentioned our Spencer.
35:49You have to explain that.
35:51Our producer Spencer Julian is a graduate of Maryland.
35:54Although we have no video documentation that he actually went to class.
36:00This kid is also out of Baltimore.
36:02Baltimore, Maryland.
36:04Stayed home to go to school.
36:06When he was in college.
36:07Again, he only played the one year.
36:08He had his best games in the big games.
36:11At an NCAA buzzer beater.
36:13March Madness.
36:18How's your bracket going, Mike?
36:20And March Madness.
36:21Are you out of it?
36:22No.
36:22Don't pick the bracket.
36:23Just rooting for St. John's.
36:24Ha ha ha.
36:25Yep.
36:26Spears.
36:26Long three-pointer.
36:28He was previously penetrating, creating.
36:31It's time to three ball.
36:34These two rookies, they have fears.
36:38And Queen has another turnover.
36:41Fears goes inside, throws it down.
36:42Both of them are fearless.
36:44Not a plan on words here.
36:46That's just, that's what they are.
36:47And they've got it back to five.
36:49So a great start here on the second quarter for the Pelicans.
36:57Back here at Madison Square Garden.
36:58Well, throughout the season, the Knicks award outstanding members of our community with the Sweetwater Clifton City Spirit Award.
37:04Tonight, the Knicks are proud to recognize Janae Billy, Senior Director of Strategic Partnerships and External Affairs at PowerPlay NYC
37:12and present a check for $10,000.
37:15Now, since 1998, PowerPlay NYC has partnered with schools and community-based organizations to conduct programming for girls that teaches
37:22them fundamental skills in sports.
37:25Well, Janae joining me here at courtside, and first and foremost, congratulations.
37:29Second of all, tell us more about PowerPlay.
37:31Yeah, so PowerPlay is a 28-year-old organization with a mission of empowering girls in sports.
37:36For the past 28 years, we've been citywide, I mean, introducing girls to sports.
37:41Yes, we love the physical attributes that young people gain from sport participation, but we want them to take away
37:47the skill sets that you gain from participating in sports.
37:49We know that 94% of C-suite women have played sports at a high level, and that's our goal.
37:55We want our young people to take away the leadership skills that will allow them to thrive way beyond their
38:00playing days once that's over.
38:02How about just the Knicks honoring the program and you tonight?
38:06What does that mean for you?
38:07I mean, it's incredible.
38:08I mean, just as an athlete myself, I mean, I take a lot of the values that, you know, Nat
38:13Sweetwater Clifton,
38:14and the attributes that he brings and how I use that to support the work at PowerPlay.
38:19It's humbling.
38:20It's motivating.
38:21And it's truly an honor to be honored here tonight.
38:23Well, thank you very much, Janae.
38:25Mike, Clyde.
38:26Well done, Janae.
38:27There's a loose ball foul called against Carl Anthony Towns.
38:31The Pelicans are on the rampage.
38:3413-2 to start the second quarter, and a 14-point lead has almost disappeared.
38:41Yeah, Fierce has been a catalyst.
38:44So this kid is just slamming and jamming, three balls.
38:47Fierce, Queen, and Matkovich.
38:51James Borrego was talking about Matkovich before the game and how the energy and the pace picks up when he
38:57goes in.
38:58Speaking of pace, that's two quick fouls on Carl Anthony Towns.
39:02They're not taking away the left hand of this guy.
39:05So he's going to pulverize you like Brunson.
39:07You've got to force him to his right.
39:10So Towns complaining about the call, but he's the culprit.
39:14Williamson at the line for two.
39:16You know, one of the things I was going to say, we talked about the improvement of Carl Anthony Towns
39:19in recent weeks on all the different things he's been doing better.
39:23He's done a better job of not complaining about calls recently.
39:27Yeah, he hasn't had to, Mike.
39:29Because he stayed out of foul trouble.
39:30Yeah, right.
39:32He's been doing what he should do.
39:34Williamson seven points.
39:37It's been a while since he scored.
39:39Most of those came in the first quarter.
39:42He scores a lot of his points.
39:4415.7 per game in the paint.
39:47That's number two in the NBA.
39:49Now he's three or four from the field.
39:51So he's 42 for his last 56 from the field.
39:5742 for 56 in his last five plus games.
40:04One on one.
40:05It's he's almost unstoppable.
40:09And he does all of it without a perimeter shot.
40:12Right.
40:12That's exactly.
40:14That's a beat it.
40:15He's allowing me to go to his left.
40:17Towns catches and foul.
40:20The inbound.
40:21Zion Williamson upset.
40:23That's his second foul.
40:24Yeah, previously he was mauling OG Williamson.
40:28So it'll be none shooting.
40:31Pelicans have no more fouls again.
40:33Almost eight minutes remaining.
40:34So that's crucial.
40:36Bunch of arguing on both sides right now.
40:44Jose hasn't had an impact yet.
40:47Now he has a mismatch.
40:49The rookie guarding Towns.
40:51Towns backs him.
40:51He tried to pull the chair out from underneath him.
40:53Blocked.
40:54Herb Jones the block.
40:55Alvarado gets it back.
40:57And a 24 second violation.
40:59Yeah.
41:00Good job blocking by Jones.
41:01But that's Jones forte, folks.
41:05Jordan 324.
41:06First team all defensive team was zoned.
41:10Watch him rise in right there to reject the shot.
41:12It's our Volvo protect the paint brought to you by Volvo Cars.
41:16Pelican is very focused.
41:19Giving the Knicks all they can handle right now.
41:21Knicks only have two points in four and a half minutes.
41:23They haven't had a field goal yet here on the second.
41:27Queen on the drive.
41:29Look at that behind the back.
41:30Shaking.
41:31Well defended by Towns.
41:34Fears gets in the paint.
41:36And a foul on Alvarado.
41:40Yeah.
41:41This kid is really quick as Mike mentioned.
41:43Feline mesmerizing intoxicating quickness as Jose goes to the bench.
41:49Brunson will come back in.
41:51But last year as you mentioned he was the seventh pick of the draft after one year at Oklahoma fears.
41:56And they said he was the fastest player in the draft.
42:00And you see they're not putting Brunson on him.
42:02They're putting bridges on him.
42:07Williamson against Robinson.
42:10Gets inside.
42:10Good double team.
42:11The help from Ananobi.
42:13Still Pelican's ball.
42:14Eight to shoot.
42:15And the Knicks have to do that every time.
42:17Make him pass the ball.
42:18So all of his force have come in the painted area.
42:24The beauty of Ananobi's defense.
42:26Obviously on ball.
42:28But he's a spectacular help defender as well.
42:32Fears kicks it out.
42:33Mavkovic tries the three pointer.
42:34Got it to go.
42:36He's shooting 44% from three.
42:3952% from corner threes.
42:41Only second round draft charts.
42:43Before he was slamming and jamming.
42:46This time straight on with the hoop.
42:47With the three ball.
42:48From Croatia.
42:48Just his second year in the league.
42:51Pelicans after trailing by 14.
42:53Back up by two.
42:54And look at their swarming defense now.
42:56Bridges finds a spot and knocks down a shot.
42:59Yeah.
43:0014 feet away was Bridges.
43:03And that's their first field goal of the second quarter.
43:11Took him.
43:12Just under five and a half minutes.
43:16Ball poked away.
43:17Here comes Brunson.
43:18Good job by Robinson.
43:19Seeing the ball.
43:20Seeing his man.
43:22Pass inside.
43:23Bridges.
43:23Up top Ananobi.
43:25Ananobi goes right at the rookie queens.
43:27Good hand.
43:28Strips him of the ball.
43:30Six turnovers for the Knicks.
43:33Matkevich.
43:37Fierce sets fires and hits.
43:39That's their seven three pointer.
43:41Both teams are seven of 14 from three point range.
43:44Fierce has been fearless.
43:46Showing the infinite reads.
43:49Yeah.
43:49Both of the rookies Clyde.
43:50They like.
43:51They're not in awe by any stretch.
43:53Certainly it's near the end of the.
43:55Their first season.
43:56But they would like this from day one.
43:59Hart goes inside.
44:01Nice move from Josh Hart for his sports points.
44:03Yeah.
44:04We haven't mentioned his name much tonight.
44:05That's to get him going.
44:10Fierce.
44:11Brunson now guards him.
44:14Green thought about it.
44:16Now shoots.
44:18Robinson the rebound.
44:23Captain has ten points.
44:25Brunson floats at the corner.
44:27Bridges gets a good clean look.
44:29Can't hit.
44:29Robinson another offensive rebound.
44:32And I know he's going to try a three.
44:33Got it.
44:34His fourth three pointer of the first half.
44:37And the Pelicans call time as the Knicks regain the lead.
44:41And if you count how many times the Knicks get a second opportunity.
44:45Most of the times they score.
44:47Brunson has been a beneficiary.
44:49This time it's OG on the second opportunity with the switch.
44:56And Duncan has you covered.
44:58From late nights to early mornings.
44:59America runs on Duncan.
45:03Second quarter from here in Madison Square Garden.
45:06Our key of card.
45:08Knicks still in third in the east.
45:11A half game behind Boston.
45:13Two and a half ahead of Cleveland.
45:15Celtics have a big game tomorrow night.
45:17They're home against OKC.
45:20There's the battle for that second seed.
45:23So if it stayed like that.
45:24And both Boston and the Knicks won.
45:26In the first round of the playoffs.
45:28Then the Celtics would have obviously the home court advantage.
45:31But still ten games to go counting tonight.
45:33Still a lot of things can happen.
45:35Cleveland could still obviously move up.
45:38That's why you can't let up.
45:39So the Knicks are going to be going up against the playoff team competition.
45:43And these guys are up for the task as well tonight.
45:46Detroit had a victory last night over the Lakers without Cain Cunningham.
45:51Not sure if he's going to play again in the regular season kind of game with that collapsed lung.
45:55Sadiq Bey back in.
45:57DeJounte Murray as well.
45:58Bay shoots over Brunson.
46:00Villanova over Villanova.
46:03Knicks back up by two.
46:06And a lot of lead changes in this one.
46:08Alley-oop to Robinson.
46:09This time Bridges with the pass.
46:12Mitchell Robinson's got seven points, six rebounds on a block.
46:15Six of them have come on the alley-oop with the good stuff.
46:23Bridges trying to fight over the screen.
46:25Long three-pointer.
46:26That's good.
46:27Murphy's got unlimited range.
46:30He had a game earlier this season where he had 12 three-pointers.
46:34Yeah, Murphy averages 21 a game.
46:36Josh Hart off the bounce.
46:39Hart's got to learn to keep his dribble.
46:40Don't give up that dribble, man.
46:43Like this guy.
46:44He maintains it.
46:45He knows to keep it.
46:46That's good.
46:47Keep it.
46:48Gets fast.
46:49Now pulls up.
46:50Oh, what a fake.
46:50Shot is up.
46:51Shot is cut.
46:53All because of maintaining that dribble and keeping your head up.
46:57And that little, subtle head fake.
47:04Meesey.
47:06Look how the Knicks get it over the screen.
47:08Brunson doing a good job.
47:10Murphy finds his spot.
47:11Can't hit that one.
47:12Rebound.
47:12Brunson.
47:13Knocked down by Sadiq Barry.
47:15He is shocked at the call.
47:19As Bay will pick up his second personal.
47:22Brunson, the much improved on the defense.
47:24Getting over screens with gusto.
47:25Well, right here.
47:26Missed the clutch.
47:28In his element.
47:30Doofy and Hoofie.
47:31Getting the fortuitous balance this time.
47:34So nice.
47:35We're sure twice.
47:36See Bay out of Villanova.
47:38Got to take away the left hand.
47:40And stay on your feet.
47:42That's the Cardinals in a defense.
47:43Leaving your feet.
47:45Oh, Brunson.
47:46Now at the line.
47:47Because they were in the penalty on the previous foul.
47:49Well, the smart play from Brunson down the other end.
47:53Because there wasn't a lot of contact from Bay after he grabbed the rebound.
47:57But fell to the floor.
47:59Got the call.
47:59And now gets the free throws.
48:02Although he did miss the first.
48:05Knicks have been very erratic.
48:06We missed in the last game though.
48:0818 and 19 from the line.
48:10But Cat and Brunson have had their woes sometimes in games.
48:16Soft touch that time.
48:1714 points.
48:20Make that 13 points for Brunson.
48:23Four point Nick lead.
48:24And it'll be guarding Murray.
48:26Murray's a handful.
48:28Still working his way back from the Achilles.
48:30But he's had some really good games since he's returned.
48:34That shot in and out and in again.
48:36Matkovich.
48:36Nice spot go off the bench.
48:38He's got seven points in nine minutes.
48:40Yeah, very impressive.
48:46Brunson.
48:47Brunson.
48:48Throws it.
48:48Ananobi.
48:49In the corner.
48:50Bridges.
48:51Well short.
48:52Murphy the rebound.
48:54Murphy throws it ahead.
48:55Matkovich catches it from behind.
48:56Off balance.
48:57Still got it to go.
48:58What a shot from Matkovich.
48:59This guy's 6'11", folks.
49:01They like his agility and mobility.
49:03You saw at that time wheeling and dealing.
49:05And we're tied at 56.
49:07This team can score.
49:09And they're playing good D-like.
49:11This isn't bad tonight.
49:13They're up for the task.
49:14And this is no word.
49:16It's Zion and it's a lot out on the court.
49:18And some of their other starters.
49:20Ananobi fakes.
49:21Finds Bridges.
49:22Corner three.
49:23It's good.
49:24Great ball movement as Bridges hits his second three.
49:27Yeah, that one right in front of the Knicks bench.
49:31Knicks with 15 assists.
49:34OG Ananobi has four of them.
49:36Clarkson had four off the bench.
49:41And foul call line Josh Hart.
49:43Remember before this shot, Bridges misfired from the left side.
49:47But now right in front of the Knicks bench.
49:50He regains his confidence and able to switch it through.
49:53Fourth team foul.
49:54Towns back in.
49:55Mitchell Robinson will sit.
49:577.6 boards for Mitchell Robinson.
50:01Silent night for Towns.
50:03So Robinson has been picking up the slack.
50:14Bridges trying to put on some pressure.
50:16Mesey trying to set a screen.
50:17Murray gets away from it.
50:19Lost it.
50:20Excellent double team.
50:21Bridges ahead to Hart.
50:23Hart finds Towns running the floor and throws it down.
50:27Beautiful trailer play.
50:29And the Knicks back up by four.
50:31Defense can be your best offense.
50:33So good job that time by the Knicks forcing the turnover.
50:37Towns the recipient.
50:41Heard Jones.
50:43His relentless pace continues.
50:46Jones in double figures with 11.
50:49That's already more than his per game average.
50:51Yeah, he's only averaging nine.
50:53He's been getting it owned.
50:55Old team shooting well over 50%.
50:57Bridges wide open three.
51:00It's good.
51:02Ten points for Bridges here in the first half.
51:05Yeah, but it's good to see him switching them through, folks.
51:07Not hesitating.
51:09Devastating tonight with the three ball.
51:11Knicks are shooting 59%, yet they only lead by five.
51:16And that's an ominous sign, folks.
51:18Both teams have shot the three ball so well.
51:21Missy can't get it.
51:23Rebound goes to Ananobi.
51:26Final minute, first half.
51:29Boy, thread the needle with that pass.
51:31Yeah, we're good interior D by the Pelicans.
51:34Towns fakes.
51:35Towns drives.
51:35Kicks it out.
51:36Bridges inside.
51:37Ananobi!
51:38More great teamwork.
51:40The ball moving.
51:42And Lennox back up by seven.
51:44That's their 18th assist.
51:46Intoxicating passing tonight by the Knicks.
51:49Nothing gets you happier than that.
51:51Oh, yeah.
51:52That shows it's sharing and caring.
51:54We always talk about that.
51:56Murray couldn't answer there.
51:59Pelicans have been in the penalty,
52:01so they have no fouls to give.
52:04There's about a four and a half second difference
52:06between the shot clock and game clock.
52:12Towns fakes.
52:13Drives.
52:14Just goes inside.
52:15Can't get it.
52:17Murray looks to push.
52:19Murray throws it up.
52:20Oh, what an alley-oop.
52:21And Murphy with the slam.
52:23Final seconds.
52:24Hart has some time.
52:25Hart drives.
52:26Gets inside.
52:27Just gets it off in time.
52:29But it won't go.
52:30That will end a wild first half.
52:34Both teams knocking down three-pointers.
52:37Knicks 9 of 18.
52:39Pelicans 8 of 17.
52:41We've got the halftime report.
52:42Sponsored by.
52:46Knicks basketball is presented by Chase.
52:48It is time now for the assistant coach interview.
52:51Alan Hunt here courtside with Rick Brunson.
52:53So, the ball movement.
52:5418 assists in the first half.
52:56What has been the key to that?
52:57Oh, it was great.
52:58Man ball movement.
52:59Sharing the ball with each other.
53:00Hitting the open man.
53:01Making the extra pass.
53:02I thought he did a real good job of that.
53:04In the first half.
53:05He got to continue that in the second half.
53:06All right.
53:07Zion Williamson has only nine points at the half.
53:09What do you have to do in the second half to keep him under control?
53:12We've got to guard him on five guys.
53:13We've got to make him see bodies.
53:14We've got to take away his left hand.
53:15But we've got to guard him on five guys and make sure we keep him out the paint.
