00:15Welcome to This Week on Xbox, I'm Larry Herb, Xbox Live's Major Nelson.
00:19The biggest news this week is, wait for it, that's right, Star Wars.
00:25That's the stuff I get chills whenever I hear that theme.
00:28The big release this week is, of course, Star Wars Battlefront, but that's not all.
00:32Halo 5 Guardians continues to make news as well, and of course, we've got a whole lot
00:37more too.
00:38Let's start with the headlines.
00:40Now back at Gamescom, we announced the Halo World Championship, and now we've got some
00:45new details on where and how you can get involved.
00:48Events will take place in the US, Canada, Europe, the Middle East and Africa, Greater Asia, Latin
00:55America and Australia and New Zealand.
00:57The prize pool kicked off with $1 million, but thanks to the crowdfunding through the
01:02new rec system, the pool has now reached an amazing $1.7 million and continues to grow.
01:10Online ladders begin December 6th, and online qualifiers and regional in-person live events
01:15begin December 19th.
01:17Head over to the new Halo eSports portal at www.halo.gg for more details.
01:32Those of you running Windows 10 on your PC or tablet may have noticed some new updates in
01:37on the Xbox app over the past few days.
01:39Just like on Xbox One, regular updates inspired by fan feedback have been incredibly important
01:45for the Xbox app on Windows 10.
01:47Looking for more friends?
01:49Well, the addition of the Facebook Friend Finder should make things easier.
01:53This was inspired by a top request fan feature at feedback.xbox.com that makes it easier than
02:00ever to find more people to play games and have fun with.
02:04Simply head to the friends column on the right side of the Xbox app.
02:08Look for the Facebook icon in the suggested friends area and click it to link your Facebook
02:13account to your Xbox Live account.
02:16And great news, this is also available for all Xbox Live members on Xbox.com as well.
02:21Another cool feature is you can now record your voice using a headset mic in your game DVR
02:26clips on your PC using game bar and game DVR hotkeys.
02:31To turn microphone recording on or off for a gaming session, just press Windows Alt M.
02:39Now everyone likes things a little different, so feel free to personalize your game DVR hotkeys
02:43any way you'd like.
02:45And now you can record game DVR clips for all your games on Windows 10, not just your
02:51Xbox Store or Windows Store games.
02:53Ready for out now?
02:55Star Wars Battlefront is here, and if you've watched my Twitch stream of the game last week,
02:59then you know I'm having quite a bit of fun with this one.
03:02The team over at DICE absolutely nailed the look and feel of the Star Wars universe, adding
03:07so many subtle details to enhance the experience.
03:10There's even an achievement you can get if an Ewok drops a rock on your head.
03:15What?
03:15That's fantastic!
03:17While I have my preferred multiplayer modes, the rest of the game definitely offers you
03:22benefits.
03:22So be sure to play around with the different modes.
03:25For example, if you're looking to boost up your credits, check out the training, survival
03:30missions, and battles.
03:31I get a lot there.
03:32These are fairly quick and simple ways to earn credits and check out more of the game.
03:38Another tip that I found useful was switching between first and third-person views.
03:42First-person view is great for precision and long-range battles, while I found the extended
03:47view of third-person view really beneficial in large battle modes like Walker Assault.
03:56Moving on, we mentioned it last week, but the Battle of Shadow and Light update for Halo
04:005 Guardians is out now.
04:03The update includes new rec pack items such as the stealthy new Shinobi ninja-themed armor,
04:08and a host of new weapon skins.
04:10Perhaps most importantly, we have the arrival of Big Team Battle.
04:14You'll probably recognize parts of the first four maps in the update, but all four have
04:18been altered for the new mobility, weapons, and features of Halo 5.
04:28A couple new games with gold came our way this week.
04:31First up is Night Squad on Xbox One, and then Dungeon Siege 3 for Xbox 360.
04:37Don't forget this week's deals with gold, too.
04:40There's some great deals on games like Devil May Cry 4, Special Edition, Cube, and much
04:44more.
04:45Let's see what the weekend has in store with the weekend highlights.
04:48With the NBA basketball season in full swing, we're happy to announce that basketball fans
04:53who are Xbox Live Gold members are able to join the NBA 2K16 Free Play Weekend going
05:00on now through this Sunday, November 22nd.
05:02On top of that, the game will be on sale this weekend, so if one weekend of play doesn't
05:07cut it for you, now's the time to grab a copy.
05:11Time for this week's Did You Know.
05:14Did you know you can turn microphone recording on for all gaming sessions thanks to the new
05:18update for the Xbox app on Windows 10?
05:21On your PC, all you need to do is go to the game bar, settings, audio or Xbox app, settings,
05:29game DVR, and then audio.
05:31With the greatest games lineup in Xbox history, I can't remember a better time to be an Xbox
05:37gamer than right now.
05:38The insanity of Black Friday is coming next week, so be sure to check out next week's
05:42episode for a breakdown of all the crazy sales and deals we'll have.
06:13chose to watch for you.
06:15We'll be the next week's部.
06:16We'll catch up on The Austin Mojas material.
06:16We'll catch you next week's YouTube segment.
06:17Bye-bye.
06:18Bye-bye.
