00:23What we're starting to see is
00:24Earth is starting to become more and more hospitable
00:27to the chimera as we know it. It's being colder,
00:30it's being terraformed, actively being
00:32just destroyed along the way.
00:35Having humans in an occupied Earth is
00:38a big theme in this, in Resistance 3.
01:19I made a very conscious effort in the visual design of the game to tell the story through color, and
01:26as a result,
01:26depending on the mood, or the feeling that I want the player to get across, based on the story, the
01:31colors will change.
01:38So Haven, which is where the game starts, is very desolate, very sad, not a lot of color,
01:43you know, just kind of depressing, basically, and that's kind of the mood that we were going for.
01:53And then when you get to the boat, you start adding a little bit of green, a little bit of
01:57color starts to come in,
01:58until you eventually get to New York, which is more of our bluish, kind of snow level.
02:06So it's not really devoid of color, it's more controlled color.
02:18We're trying to move away from having this large military human forces fighting,
02:24and we wanted to give you a sense of the human side of things.
02:34We advanced the time a little bit that takes place four years after the events of Resistance 2,
02:39and the people that you're fighting with are just kind of regular Joes.
02:47And what you're dealing with as a player is not going to last very much longer,
02:52unless something crazy happens.
02:54Everywhere you go, you're going to feel threatened.
02:56We really wanted to make a big deal out of the fact that the Chimera are here.
