00:34The world is filled with a lot of loot, a lot of treasures to find.
00:38As we see here, there's a sailor.
00:40We're going to loot him and we're going to find a treasure map.
00:43Treasures are very important in the progression of Edward and the Jackdaw itself, which is your ship.
00:47This treasure map is asking us to go to an island called Mysteriosa.
00:53Mysteriosa is fairly close by, but as we zoom out, we can see how massive this world really is.
00:57We have over 50 unique locations. These are big places that you have a lot of things to find and
01:02do.
01:04This is the Jackdaw. This is the second main character of the game.
01:07This is your baby. You need to take care of it.
01:10You need to upgrade and customize it, because it's going to be with you for the long haul.
01:19Here's our first mate, Arawale. Arawale is very important in the story.
01:23He helps you gain the Jackdaw and gain its crew.
01:28In the distance, we can see Spanish and British ships fighting each other.
01:31We can jump into that fight and take advantage of them weakening each other off.
01:35But instead, we're going to head to Mysteriosa for that treasure.
01:40We can see that there's a storm building up. Storms are very dangerous.
01:44They're a big threat in this world.
01:46If you don't navigate them properly, you will take damage and you will lose crew members.
01:57Mysteriosa is a Mayan ruin. One of the unique 50 locations we have in this world.
02:02Everything you find, everything you do has some type of value for you.
02:06There's lots of hidden artifacts, treasures, and activities to discover.
02:11We know from the treasure map that the treasure is up near that temple to the top of this location.
02:16So this is where we want to go.
02:17Now, as we get going, we're going to see that there's a lot of guards in our way.
02:20We can choose to go in guns blazing and fight.
02:23But instead, we're going to try to get there as fast as we can.
02:28Using Edward's navigation ability, we can scale this temple without a problem.
02:33Now that we've reached the top, we know that the treasure is near that fountain.
02:45Now that we've found the treasure, what we've actually found is a blueprint.
02:50Blueprints are required for the biggest upgrades on the jackdaw.
02:53To be able to face the toughest challenges in this game world,
02:56you will need to upgrade the jackdaw to its fullest capacities.
03:03You can see a lot of ambient life in this world.
03:05Iguana over there, some birds.
03:07The world is as filled as possible with tons of ambient life, but also predators.
03:13As we go to head off Miss Jirosa, we're going to do a reach high point.
03:16Reach high points work as before, revealing the contents of the location.
03:20But as an added feature, now they are also fast travel points.
03:33So now that we're back in the ocean, we see our British frigate patrolling the area.
03:37Using the spyglass, we're able to see that it has a lot of cargo.
03:40Cargo is very important for you to get those upgrades.

04:20Virtually every ship in this game world is boardable.
04:24Boarding is very important in AC4.
04:25As a pirate, this is something you need to do to gain cargo and to plunder the ship.
04:32Here, we start the boarding from any angle, any orientation we wish.
04:36We have two objectives.
04:38One is to take out the crew, so we're going to use the swivel gun.
04:40We could have jumped into the water instead.
04:42We can climb up the mast and take advantage over the enemy crew.
04:47We can even swing with a rope to go in guns blazing.
04:52But now that we've taken out some of the crew, we're going to go after the captain using Edward's abilities
04:57to navigate.

05:07Again, seamlessly being able to jump from one ship to another, take out the captain by surprise and win the
05:11boarding.
05:16Now that we've won, we can see the loot we've gained on the right side of the screen.
05:20But you have three options to do with every ship that you plunder.
05:22We can release the crew to gain crew members, we can send the ship to our fleet, or we can
05:26salvage and repair the ship if we took too much damage during the fight.
05:30For now, we're going to gain some crew members.
05:38Now that we have cargo and the blueprint, we can now build the upgrade.
05:43Fisherman villages are the perfect place to find that harbour master who will build that upgrade for you.
05:48So let's do that now.
05:55The jackdaw has many upgrades, four weapons, four defences, four utilities.
05:59And you will need most of these upgrades to take out the biggest challenges in this game world, the biggest
06:04enemies to fight.
06:07But you don't only upgrade the jackdaw, you also upgrade Edward.
06:10This is where harpooning comes in.
06:12You use the harpooning system with hunting to get the goods to be able to upgrade the number of weapons
06:18Edward can carry, the number of pistols he has, even his armour.
06:22But for now, we're going to continue our journey to Havana.
06:25In our path, we see that there's a fort, it's blocking our way to Havana, so we need to have
06:29mastered the naval combat to take this fort out.
06:33But since we've recently upgraded the mortar, let's use it to take out the fort towers.
06:41Now that the defences and the towers are down, we still have to infiltrate the fort.
06:45And this is where we see Edward and his crew raiding the environment.
06:51We're looking for the fort commander, taking out the commander gives us ownership over the fort.
06:55A fort that you own will work for you, it will attack your enemies.
06:59It also unlocks a bunch of side missions that are linked to the fort itself.
