00:00What's up folks? Max and Million here and as promised today was the day Microsoft held their live stream showing
00:05off everything we pretty much needed to know about Fulgore.
00:08So let's get this thing started and show off all the different things that were featured within this live stream.
00:12Number one, Fulgore's character colors and you'll notice a lot of different variances between these as well as some that
00:18definitely point towards other franchises and stuff like that.
00:22I definitely like the white and black Fulgore which heavily resembles a stormtrooper although there's no hard red variant there's
00:29a very dirty red one at the end.
00:30But more importantly let's get on to the gameplay. Fulgore's a character that's kind of similar to Jago. He has
00:35the rushing cyberdash attack.
00:37He has multiple projectiles including one that shoots one, two, or three. Eye lasers that hit low, medium, or in
00:44the sky like an aerial eye laser and all of these happen very fast.
00:48The triple fireball has the most recovery but there's a danger to the triple fireball and it's that if your
00:53opponent blocks three fireballs they get a ridiculous amount of meter.
00:57So some other dudes that have moves that can go across the entire screen like Jago's shadow wind kick and
01:02the fire cat super, you're pretty much feeding them meter to go through your projectiles and it can be a
01:08little dangerous.
01:09Now moving on towards other specials, there was some pretty interesting things as far as his teleport.
01:13It turns out his teleport is actually screen relative, not character relative.
01:18This essentially means that if you do something towards one side of the screen or the other, it'll always be
01:22on that side of the screen.
01:23As an example, Spinals is character relative. When you do the heavy teleport, he pops behind the other person.
01:29And with Fulgore, if you do the heavy teleport, it actually always shows up on the right side of the
01:34screen.
01:34Now Fulgore is dramatically different than every other character because as you can tell in the bottom left-hand portion
01:39of the screen,
01:40Fulgore does not have a regular meter similar to all the seven other characters in Killer Instinct.
01:45He's got what's called the reactor gauge, but I'm calling it nuke meter just because of a Robocop 2 reference.
01:51Essentially this thing is replacing how bar is used with Fulgore and he has to manually acquire it through several
01:57different means.
01:58The first one is basically through charging. I think if you did a quarter circle back with kick, you do
02:04a charge move.
02:05You do the light one and it recovers pretty fast, but only gives you one pip out of ten.
02:08You do the medium one and it gives you two, and you do the heavy one and it gives you
02:11three by default,
02:12or you can hold the heavy one down to get a whole freakin' bunch.
02:15Fulgore gets ten pips in total, and four pips represents regular shadow usage.
02:20That means all shadow moves, shadow counters and stuff like that, you can essentially do two shadow moves
02:26and still have two pips left because of the full ten that he has in stock.
02:30But this makes Fulgore a bit more challenging than most of the rest of the cast,
02:34is that he has to acquire this stock, this nuke gauge, in order to keep building up his meter.
02:40And he has to do so through three different means, and the first mean, like we said, is charging manually
02:44by doing the actual special move motion,
02:46and finding areas where it's safe to charge. The other is through actually doing one of the triple doubles.
02:52Any triple double that successfully connects gives you a single pip at the end of your combo, and this is
02:57a little risky because it's three consistent hits.
03:00Manuals don't do it, only triple doubles. And the final one is his instinct gauge, which eventually just restores the
03:06bars to their maximum,
03:07and they fill up gradually. The crazy thing about this is that only in instinct he gets access to the
03:13full giant devastation laser.
03:14That's how you get to use it. You need to have full stock, all ten pips available, as well as
03:19instinct mode activated, and you can let the beam fly.
03:22And this beam, if it hits raw without any scaling and anything like that, it does like forty to forty
03:27five percent.
03:27It's freaking crazy good. However, if you put it into a combo in any way, it heavily scales.
03:33Probably heavier than anything else in the entire game. So you gotta be kind of careful how you use it.
03:38And sometimes using it in certain situations might not be as effective.
03:41It's not immediate on startup. It does have a little bit of startup. We saw it interrupted several times throughout
03:47the livestream.
03:49So it's a good move, but once you know it's there, it's not gonna be the end-all be-all.
03:54It's kind of used in only very specific situations.
03:57Now, what's also crazy is that similar to, I'd say, Hakann in like Street Fighter IV,
04:02when you get all oiled up, your movement changes, and you can kind of have better access to more moves
04:07that give you better priority.
04:08But with Fulgore, what's confirmed is that when you're actually full on the nuke gauge, and it's charged up all
04:13the way to ten,
04:13his walk speed is dramatically different, his dash speed is dramatically different, and he's much faster as a character in
04:19general.
04:20They didn't specifically say if any of his moves individually change, but seeing how quick the difference is between his
04:25walking normally
04:26to the one where he's actually full on charge is pretty crazy.
04:29And in relation to the nuke gauge, last but not least is something that's extremely important,
04:33and it's probably gonna be relevant to Fulgore being a really good character,
04:38is the fact that you can change one special into another, and we made this notice during the analysis of
04:44the trailer that was yesterday,
04:45you can actually cancel one special move into another special move with some limitations, they were saying.
04:49So, for example, you can throw a laser blast, like the fireball one, and then go into an eye laser,
04:55or go into a cyber dash,
04:56or throw fireballs and then go into a teleport to the opposite side, and follow up for a combo.
05:01There was a couple hints at this at the trailer, which we did notice, but that appears how it's actually
05:05usable,
05:06is that you can actually special cancel into another special move at the cost of one of these pips.
05:11So, it looks like Fulgore is gonna be kinda dependent on meter.
05:15It really seems like this reactor slash nuke gauge thing is really gonna make Fulgore, like, make or break him,
05:21whether or not he's gonna be extremely good. You have to get that meter.
05:24And if you have that meter available when you go into instinct, you can even launch, like, multiple beams against
05:29somebody,
05:29and if those land, that's a lot of freakin' damage.
05:31Fulgore looks really good. Between all that we've seen today, between the different situations,
05:36it definitely looks like Fulgore is gonna be more favorable in some specific matches,
05:41and I'm saying, I'm gonna guess right now, that he's gonna do fairly good against Sidira,
05:45because he has a lot of anti-air options, as well as, uh, covering the sky.
05:49That, that heavy eye laser that goes straight up in the air and covers full screen is really good,
05:53and that's exactly where Sidira wants to be.
05:56As well as Glacius, I think he's gonna have a really good opportunity, um,
06:00to take advantage against certain things that Glacius does full screen,
06:03because Fulgore can kinda get in at any point and make him safe at the same time,
06:07and if Fulgore is full screen, what are you gonna be doing?
06:09You're gonna be charging up that thing and getting all your meter and going crazy and stuff like that.
06:13And Glacius can't get to you quickly. He doesn't have, like, a teleport or something like that.
06:17He just has a lot of defensive options.
06:19However, I am seeing things being potentially challenging against other characters,
06:22like Thunder and Sabrewolf.
06:24Shockingly, these two are the bigger rush-down characters that have extremely damaging moves,
06:28with kind of a little amount of risk, and they're just really good up close.
06:32probably better than any other character in the game.
06:35And, to be honest, Sabrewolf and, um, and Jago and Thunder kinda dominate the really high-level strategies of Killer
06:42Instinct.
06:42Jago specifically because of his manuals, Sabrewolf because of his, uh, really close-range offense,
06:48and Thunder because of that freaking shadow command grab and hard knockdown uppercut.
06:52It makes them really good, and we'll have to see what Fulgore is gonna do against these characters,
06:56because, uh, it's gonna be an interesting, evolving point.
06:59Fulgore is also kinda similar to Jago, uh, so we're gonna see how everything kinda spans out,
07:04whether or not his manuals make a big difference, how important the meter is,
07:07and if that's really gonna make or break him as a character,
07:10because right now it appears that it is.
07:12The thing that's kind of poetic justice, in a way, is that I'm taking a huge prediction
07:16that there's one character that might blow up Fulgore pretty hard,
07:20or make the matchup dramatically, dramatically difficult, and it's Spinal.
07:24Uh, the reason being is that Fulgore can't gain meter normally like every other character in the game.
07:29He has to work for it, and Spinal can take away your meter and instinct easily,
07:33that's kind of what he does.
07:35And if Fulgore is extremely reliant on meter to be good,
07:38and Spinal takes that away with ease,
07:40you suddenly have a character that kinda blasts through everything that makes Fulgore what he is.
07:45So, we'll see how that spans out in the long run, but overall,
07:48we got to see a lot of what Fulgore is all about today,
07:51and it really seems like the nuke gauge is gonna be really important.
07:54Going from special move to special move is gonna be really important.
07:57Teleporting across the screen to get mix-ups through your teleports is also gonna be really important,
08:01and dramatically different than everyone else,
08:04Fulgore seems like an extreme momentum-based character.
08:07Like, if you get the momentum on your side, and go for his low to overhead to mix-ups,
08:12this character's gonna be a little freakin' ridiculous.
08:14So, we finally got a look at Fulgore's gameplay.
08:17What do you guys think about him, now that you actually see him in action,
08:20fighting against other characters?
08:21What do you think about his stage?
08:23I think the stage cut is kinda cool, because it's got a different lighting than everything else.
08:26Oh, and last but not least, there was something else that was leaked on the stream
08:30that I don't think was done on purpose.
08:32There was actually a- I think it was a ninth stage that was available on this stage select.
08:37Fulgore's was the new stage, of course, that was freely available,
08:39but there was also a hidden other stage that we did not get to fully see,
08:43until they hovered over it and we saw the name, and it said Shadow Tiger Lair.
08:47This is probably a huge clue that one of the final boss characters,
08:51or the final boss character for Arcade Mode is most likely going to be Shadow Jago,
08:55and his stage is actually selectable, so, until we actually get a look at Arcade Mode
09:00and figure out what exactly is going on, I'll let you guys know,
09:03how do we get that stage, what do we have to do to acquire it,
09:06because even during the Microsoft livestream, it was locked out,
09:09and they could not even select it, so.
09:11Either way, thank you guys a ton for watching,
09:13stay tuned, because as soon as we know more about Fulgore,
09:16and his upcoming release on April 9th, that is confirmed the date that he will be coming out,
09:20I'll be back with a full analysis of the character,
09:22as well as a breakdown of how he works, the things you should be going for,
09:27and pretty much getting good with Fulgore on day one.
09:30If you guys are looking forward to it, I appreciate a comment below,
09:32as well as a thumbs up, and subscribe if you guys haven't yet,
09:35because there's a lot more Killer Instinct on the way, even after Fulgore has been revealed.
09:40Take care folks, and if you want to hit me up regarding any of this,
09:42shoot me a message over on Twitter, which you can find in the link in the description below.
09:47My name is Maximillian, and I'll see you guys next time.
09:49I'll see you next time.
