00:02So, do you think it's fair to say that you and I are now internet celebrities?
00:09No, I wouldn't say that. I think in a very small, peculiar corner of the internet, maybe.
00:15Yeah, yeah, a very unique and wonderful corner of the internet.
00:18Yeah.
00:18Well, I noticed that Johnny decided to get in on the action.
00:22Yeah.
00:23And he made a video, didn't he?
00:24He did.
00:25About things that we'll talk a little bit about later.
00:27So, and you edited that video.
00:30That's right.
00:31And I wanted to just talk to you about that for a moment.
00:34Right.
00:34Right.
00:35Because Johnny Notenbelt, Dr. Johnny Notenbelt, who did his PhD in artificial intelligence, which is robot brains.
00:46Skynet construction.
00:47Went to Google, right, and single-handedly invented the driverless car, Chrome, Google Glass.
00:54Yeah, yeah.
00:55And YouTube and everything else.
00:57Yeah.
00:58On the video, you described him as programmer.
01:06Do you think that's slightly, is that slightly derogatory, do you think?
01:09Now, on our videos, right, on our videos, you describe yourself as the creative director.
01:16Yeah.
01:17Francis DeLay Coppola, in your director's chair.
01:21I understand what you're getting at now.
01:22And I'm like the executive producer or something, you know.
01:26Yeah, yeah.
01:26I'm going to make you a star.
01:27And Johnny gets programmer.
01:34Here we are, Alpha 21.
01:36Yeah.
01:38I'm excited.
01:39I'm very excited.
01:40I'm always excited.
01:40I love this time of the month.
01:42Mm-hmm.
01:42It's an exciting time, isn't it?
01:44All the work we've done in the month comes together.
01:45That's right.
01:46That's right.
01:46And then we hope it works in the Alpha video.
01:49Yeah.
01:50Yeah.
01:50And then we edit it out when it doesn't.
01:52Yeah, that's right.
01:53Right.
01:53Should we look at some new stuff then?
01:55Let's do that.
01:56Right.
01:56So, I think you may be aware that our community, bless them, they've been translating the game
02:01into many, many different languages.
02:03Wonderful, aren't they?
02:04Bienvenue, welcomen.
02:05They've just gone ahead and done it all for us, despite our attempts to insult all of Mainland
02:10Europe in a previous Alpha video that time when we tried to do some accents.
02:15Well, like the USA.
02:15We did them as well.
02:16We've done everyone, haven't we?
02:17Yeah.
02:18But we don't leave anyone out, obviously.
02:19We work our way around.
02:21So, what we've done is we've decided that integrating the language system more thoroughly
02:28into the game is a really good idea.
02:29Because from the point of view of somebody, say, who doesn't speak English, who launches
02:33the game for the first time, it's actually quite difficult to find our language selector.
02:37Well, also, we shouldn't be treating them as second-class citizens, should we?
02:40Absolutely.
02:40Yeah, absolutely.
02:41It's not good.
02:41It's not good.
02:42And they have to...
02:43Previously, you had to kind of go to the Steam mod system and find the language pack that
02:49you wanted amongst all the different Steam mods.
02:51and install it and then activate it.
02:53Right.
02:53So, we've changed it now.
02:54So, now, in the main menu, you can see there's a language flag.
02:57Ah, look at that.
02:58And if you click on that filler, it takes you immediately to a language selector.
03:03Now, these language packs, these are not installed on my computer.
03:06These are taken directly from Steam.
03:07So, this is a list of all active Steam language packs.
03:11Okay?
03:12Why is Gary...
03:13Is that Italian Gary?
03:14So, the person that did the Italian translation, for some reason, took Gary's picture and made
03:20made it into the pack.
03:23So, if I click select, it'll automatically download the Steam mod and activate it.
03:29Look at that!
03:29It's in Italian!
03:30And now it's in Italian, right?
03:31Or some of it is.
03:32Oh, brilliant.
03:33Yeah.
03:33So, like, the main menu and things.
03:34And if you...
03:37So, now, the language that we've picked is now listed up here in the top left.
03:40Pretty good, eh?
03:41Yeah, that's brilliant.
03:42Yeah.
03:43So, all those people that are working on language packs, keep at it because there's now a much
03:48easier way for players to get to your language packs directly from the main menu.
03:53Yeah.
03:53All right.
03:54Straight back to English, so I can carry on.
03:56Shall we talk about something big?
03:59Yes.
03:59I like talking about big things.
04:01Big things, mate.
04:02Drug abuse.
04:03Ah, drug abuse.
04:05We've finally gotten around to tackling drug abuse.
04:07So, now, within this prison, we have a number of people who are addicted to drugs.
04:14Let's see if you can find one.
04:15Here's one.
04:16So, this guy is addicted to heroin.
04:19It says so in his biography.
04:20All right?
04:21Okay.
04:22And what happens is, if people have come in with...
04:26Sometimes prisoners will arrive with drug addictions.
04:29Yeah.
04:29Pre-existing addictions.
04:31And sometimes they'll bring their own drugs in with them.
04:33Yeah.
04:34And at other times, people who don't have drug addictions, but happen to be really bored
04:40or really uncomfortable or whatever, will take drugs if they're available.
04:44Now, if you remember, you can get drugs from all around the prison.
04:47There's all kinds of places.
04:48Now, we've narrowed it down slightly.
04:50And now, visitation is one of the primary places where drugs can be brought in.
04:54Yeah.
04:55All kinds of drugs and alcohol as well.
04:58Prisoners can also steal alcohol from the offices.
05:01And you can see there's all the administrative offices.
05:03Yeah.
05:04They've all got a little bottle of Johnny Walker in their bottom drawer.
05:08Yeah.
05:08Okay.
05:08Alanis Morissette lyrics again.
05:10What the hell?
05:13You love her.
05:14Yeah.
05:16So, drug addictions can...
05:18People who don't have any prior addiction can become addicted.
05:21And the way that it works is these guys have been caught and they're currently locked up.
05:25They've been punished for having drugs with them.
05:27Okay.
05:27And this guy, look at this guy over here.
05:29He's puked all over.
05:30Oh, oh, Steele's in trouble, man.
05:32He's overdosing.
05:33He's not overdosing.
05:34He's probably in withdrawal.
05:36He's coming down from not having enough drugs.
05:38So, he actually...
05:39Oh, interesting.
05:39He's been on the methadone program and failed.
05:42It didn't work for him.
05:43Poor Steele.
05:44Yeah.
05:45So, drug addiction is actually...
05:47It kind of fucks your jail up.
05:49Yeah.
05:50It kind of messes you up if you let it take hold.
05:52Because every time prisoners take drugs, their addiction gets stronger.
05:55And their desire to get more drugs gets stronger.
05:58And so, they'll steal more things and they'll try and import more things through visitation.
06:03If they don't get any drug...
06:06If they become addicted and they don't get any drugs, they go into withdrawal.
06:10And when they're withdrawn, they're kind of...
06:13I don't have any examples to show you in this prison, but they're kind of jittery.
06:16And they bounce off the walls as they're walking around.
06:19And they're significantly more likely to get into fights and things like that.
06:22They're a lot more easy to anger.
06:25Okay.
06:27And so, the different drugs that exist at the moment, we've got...
06:31So, that guy was addicted to heroin, wasn't he?
06:34Serious.
06:35We have cocaine as well.
06:36Yeah.
06:37We have marijuana in the game.
06:38We don't have a complete list yet.
06:40We don't have an exhaustive list of all drug types.
06:42Because partly, I've been trying to think about what sort of drugs actually make it into prisons.
06:47Yeah.
06:47And how, like the different methods that they actually come in.
06:51Well, I think drugs are...
06:52They're such an integrated part of prisons and offending.
06:59And, you know, you see stats, don't you?
07:01I don't know what they're based on, but saying things like, you know, 50% of crime, drugs related and
07:05all the rest of it.
07:06Yes.
07:07And I think that we do need to take the time to handle drugs properly and sensitively because all drugs
07:15are not the same.
07:16Yeah, absolutely.
07:16You know, there definitely are differences and differences in effect and differences in addiction and risk and all sorts of
07:23things.
07:23Well, each of the drugs that we have in the game, and alcohol as well, I'm counting them all under
07:26narcotics, all have a different effect on the prisoners.
07:29Prisoners that are drunk kind of sway from side to side and puke occasionally.
07:33Yeah.
07:33They generally act in a drunk manner.
07:34It's a very different effect to somebody that's high on cocaine, for example.
07:38Yeah.
07:39Each has a slightly different effect.
07:40And as we add more drugs in, we'll add more effects in for them.
07:43Yeah.
07:43And the comedown effects are different as well.
07:45Also, each drug has a kind of a chance of overdose as well.
07:50The more addicted the person is, the more likely that overdose is to happen because they're just taking it and
07:55taking it and taking it.
07:57Yeah.
07:57So alcohol doesn't really have any overdose chance, but heroin and cocaine both do.
08:02Does it have zero overdose chance or...?
08:05Alcohol, yes.
08:07Yeah, in the game.
08:07Alcohol in the game has zero overdose chance because alcohol is like a long-term poison, isn't it?
08:13Yeah.
08:13You die from liver failure and things.
08:15You don't really...
08:15Well, I guess you can choke on your own vomit.
08:17Well, yes, I suppose.
08:18Well, that's not really an overdose, is it?
08:20You...
08:21No, but you've made a decision which I think is reasonable.
08:23Yes, it's not like you take some booze and then die.
08:27Yeah.
08:28If we ever get around to putting homebrew hooch in...
08:31Yeah, true.
08:32...or like a brew-your-own-toilet hooch...
08:33True, yeah, yeah.
08:34...then maybe we'll have it.
08:35Because if you ferment...
08:38If you make your own hooch and by fermentation and you drink the most potent stuff that comes off first,
08:46that's supposed to be toxic, isn't it?
08:47Well, there are different types of alcohol, aren't there?
08:49Yeah.
08:49And some of the alcohols are extremely deadly, but they will kill you.
08:53So, yeah, maybe we'll experiment with that.
08:55So, if you boil away...
08:56You boil away the nastiest stuff first, don't you?
08:58Yeah, that's right.
08:59That's right.
09:00Yeah, so we have this concept of like an overdose event.
09:03So, if I just...
09:03If I have a demonstration effect, if I pick on a random bloke like this dude...
09:08There you go.
09:08Bad luck fella.
09:09Let's have him overdose.
09:12Let's see.
09:13Where am I going?
09:14I have to press this.
09:16You get this flashing warning, right?
09:17Overdose event at the bottom of the screen.
09:19Yeah, yeah.
09:19If you go and have a look, you'll see here he is.
09:21He's overdosed.
09:22He's unconscious.
09:24He'll puke all over the place and stuff.
09:26Why isn't that guard not doing anything?
09:27The guard doesn't do anything.
09:29You need to bring a doctor over at the moment.
09:31Now, I'm going to get it so they take him to medical ward eventually.
09:34Yeah.
09:34If you leave him there, he'll die, right?
09:36Okay.
09:36If the overdose runs its course, he has a very high chance of dying.
09:39Yeah.
09:39You have to bring over...
09:41Do we have any doctors?
09:43Oh, no.
09:44Here we go.
09:45All right.
09:45You have to bring over a doctor if there's been an overdose.
09:47It's kind of like a medical emergency.
09:49Yeah.
09:49It's the first medical emergency we've kind of put in the game where you have to get people
09:54out to them quickly.
09:56Right.
09:57Here she comes, Dr. Tancredi.
09:59Yeah, Tancredi.
10:00Yeah, exactly.
10:01That was a good series, wasn't it?
10:02That was a good series, yeah.
10:03So, we managed to get there in time and save him.
10:06If you don't save him in time, he'll die of his overdose.
10:09So, you can see here, for example, under the programs list, we now have a methadone program
10:15and an Alcoholics Anonymous meeting.
10:18Okay.
10:18This is actually the Alcoholics Anonymous meeting occurring right here in the common room.
10:22All right.
10:22So, these dudes that are sat around in a circle here, you see they've all got their booze
10:26addiction next to their...
10:28So, they're all giving it the whole...
10:29I'm Shopland and I'm an alcoholic.
10:32Exactly.
10:32Yeah.
10:32All right, Shopland.
10:33Hello.
10:34Yeah.
10:35I've got four days to leave.
10:36We shouldn't mock these people.
10:38No, we shouldn't.
10:38You know.
10:39Oh, wow.
10:39Look at that.
10:40Ah, look at that.
10:40That's good.
10:41Yeah.
10:42That's not in the alpha, though.
10:44It's a non-alpha feature.
10:47Oh, okay.
10:48Spoiler.
10:49So, these guys will sit around and run their Alcoholics Anonymous meeting and at the same
10:53time...
10:53Alcoholics Anonymous, it doesn't have a...
10:55There's no chemical treatment or anything.
10:56It just helps them...
10:57Yeah, yeah.
10:57It helps them to get away from their alcohol addiction.
11:00Yeah.
11:00And they can never really fully cure it.
11:02They can just...
11:03All they can do is help to reduce the amount of demand that they have.
11:06That's right.
11:06They never say they're cured, do they?
11:08They always say, I'm a recovering alcoholic.
11:10That's right.
11:10That's right, yeah.
11:11Even after 40 years.
11:12So, this guy is exactly that.
11:13In fact, he's a recovering alcoholic.
11:15Tragic.
11:15Yeah, yeah.
11:15So, he may not have drunk any booze for a while, but he'll still be an alcoholic and
11:21he'll always be there.
11:23The other program, the Methadone program, is more of a chemical program.
11:27It's for people who are addicted to heroin.
11:29But we're using it as a general purpose name for any drug addiction that can be cured through
11:34a chemical supplement instead.
11:36So, that takes place in the medical ward.
11:39Prisoners go to the medical ward and get an injection or a tablet or something like that.
11:44And what it does is it gets rid of their desire for the drug for a temporary period.
11:50Right.
11:50So, for like a 12-hour period, their craving for the drug will be heavily reduced.
11:56Yeah.
11:58And if they do that for long enough, the addiction will fall away.
12:02There's an alternative way that you can deal with it.
12:05If you're not really into all that, Methadone program, Alcoholics Anonymous stuff.
12:09This is going to be badass, isn't it?
12:11Which is that you can lock them up in solitary for a long period of time and force them through
12:18cold turkey effectively.
12:19Train spotting style-y.
12:21Train spotting style, exactly.
12:23And to facilitate that, there's no automated way to do it yet.
12:28Yet.
12:29I'm going to make it so there is in future.
12:30Yeah.
12:31You can now click on arbitrary prisoners, say, let's just pick on one randomly.
12:37He doesn't have an addiction, but if I pick on him randomly, and I can, there's now a new
12:41punish menu.
12:43Duh.
12:43Punish him.
12:44I can assign him 24 hours of lockdown.
12:48Right.
12:48I haven't done anything.
12:50I haven't done anything, man.
12:51I haven't done nothing, man.
12:52Or I can assign him 24 hours of solitary confinement, for example.
12:57And so this prison doesn't actually have any solitary confinement cells.
13:02Which is a bad example.
13:04But you can, so you can just, if you see someone who's got a heavy drug addiction, you can just
13:08assign them to an endless succession of 24-hour solitary confinement.
13:12And they will go completely cold turkey and have the worst possible withdrawal symptoms.
13:17Right.
13:17That the game can muster.
13:19They'll be very, very sick and unwell.
13:21But it will bring their addiction right down.
13:24Once the withdrawal symptoms fade, the strength of their addiction will be much reduced.
13:29Right, right.
13:30And it's just an alternative way of coping.
13:32I think that we are, we've got drugs in from the simulation point of view now, but we're
13:37missing something in the drug system.
13:40I don't mind saying it.
13:42Yeah.
13:42We've got, we're modelling it reasonably well, but it doesn't yet have the kind of effect
13:48on your prison that I would like it to have.
13:50Right, right.
13:50It's not as serious a concern as it should be.
13:53Yeah.
13:54That's what I would say.
13:56But we'll see.
13:58Yeah.
13:58This is an alpha.
13:59And it'll be very interesting to see what people make of it.
14:00And we'll be very interesting to see if people end up with prisons.
14:04I mean, if you just let it run riot.
14:05And if you don't bother searching for drugs and if you just let addictions take hold, your
14:11prison is going to fall apart.
14:13Yeah.
14:14Directly as a result of drug addictions.
14:16All right.
14:17Cool.
14:18Should we look at something else?
14:19Yeah, let's.
14:20Let's load up a different prison.
14:23Before we do that, while you're loading up your prison, during the inevitable 30 minutes
14:28of dicking around with the microphones, I tweeted.
14:31Right.
14:32I tweeted.
14:34Let me read the tweet.
14:36We are about to record the Alpha 21 vid.
14:39Tweet your question so I can grill delay.
14:42Okay.
14:43Did anyone respond?
14:45Yeah.
14:46Yeah.
14:46We've got some questions.
14:47So the first question came in from Ionisk Folifedora.
14:54He would like to know, how is styrofoam made?
15:00I don't know the answer to that.
15:02Do you know how styrofoam is made?
15:03I don't know.
15:04I don't know.
15:05Moving on.
15:06Okay.
15:06This is a serious question.
15:07Pert S has asked, how do you concentrate on single project for years and not get distracted
15:13with any other cool game ideas you might have?
15:15I think Pert S, one of the things that's changed about the way we make games regarding the alpha
15:22process is having to get an alpha out every month doesn't leave any time to get distracted
15:27and start working on something else because you're constantly facing a deadline.
15:31Whereas when you've got a deadline which is maybe a year away or two years away,
15:36it's very easy to lose focus.
15:38Absolutely.
15:38So I think this alpha development has helped focus the mind.
15:43So anyway, that was viewer's mail.
15:45Maybe we need a little sting.
15:47We need a little interlude.
15:50You can put a little graphic up.
15:52Yeah, a little extra sound effect or something.
15:54Yeah.
15:54Anyway, where were we?
15:55I was going to explain that this prison, here's a nice prison with a mixture of prisoners.
16:00Yep.
16:00Different types.
16:01And for the first time ever, I got Johnny Nottenbell, our programmer, our technical director
16:10and founding member, Johnny Nottenbell, who's also a programmer, to do regime control for us.
16:16So here's the regime.
16:18You've seen this before.
16:20This is the regime that everyone follows.
16:22Well, now for the first time, you can control it independently between each different security group.
16:27So here's your minsec prisoners, your normal prisoners, your maxsec prisoners.
16:30Maybe we don't want maxsec prisoners to work because it's dangerous to let them in the workshop.
16:34So we'll just have them locked up in their cell for this period.
16:38Yes, I see.
16:39And you see how the regime divides up and now maxsecure you're in lockup.
16:45This used to be called nothing, right?
16:47It used to mean don't do anything, but it was confusing because people didn't realize
16:52that that meant they had to go back to their cells and be locked in their cell, but it does.
16:55It means go back to your cell and be locked up.
16:58Yeah.
16:58And in fact, if you're maxsecure, you don't get any free time either.
17:01There you go.
17:02You've got a bit of wang at 6am, 7am.
17:05Oh, yeah.
17:05Look at that.
17:06All right.
17:06Let's get rid of that.
17:07There we go.
17:08And we don't want that either.
17:09So there we go.
17:10I've just made maxsecurities life much worse.
17:12Much more miserable, yeah.
17:13You can see that they're all locked up in their cells or going back to their cells because
17:16we've just changed the regime.
17:18Whereas the other guys, here we go.
17:20Here's the normal security guys.
17:21They're out and about doing their thing.
17:23Some of them are working and cleaning.
17:25Some of them are enjoying this classroom.
17:26That's very important.
17:27Yeah, you can do other things as well.
17:29You might decide that you don't want all your prisoners to eat at the same time.
17:32Yeah.
17:32So I could do this, for example, and this and move this away.
17:39Nice.
17:40And move this away like this.
17:42And so you can see what I've done there is I've staggered their lunchtimes.
17:45Yeah, I see that.
17:46So that they never override.
17:47So maybe they all share the same canteen, but they never see each other.
17:50Nice.
17:50Yeah.
17:51Yeah.
17:51Let's have a look at something else, shall we?
17:53Yeah.
17:53Let's have a look at our favorite rioting prison.
17:57So you remember me lamenting that prisoners never surrender, right?
18:02Yeah.
18:02They just say it's just a massacre, right?
18:04It means armed guards were not that effective because, well, they were effective in the sense
18:09that they stopped the riot.
18:11Well, it was silly, wasn't it?
18:12It was comical.
18:12It was ridiculous to the extent to which they would massacre your prisoners.
18:16And I just don't think it would go that way because a lot of these guys, they might be
18:19rioting, but, oh, it doesn't mean that they all want to die, you know, a crazy death.
18:25So let's have a look at this.
18:28Let's see if we can get any guys to surrender.
18:30There we go.
18:30He surrendered.
18:31Right, right.
18:32Hands up.
18:32Hands up, motherfuckers.
18:34Hands up.
18:35Right, right.
18:35Hands up, motherfuckers.
18:36Hands up.
18:38Oh, well, he didn't surrender.
18:40The other guys did.
18:41Right, so that's not so bad, right?
18:42He looks like Walter White.
18:44Yeah, he does, doesn't he?
18:45Look at him.
18:46Look at him.
18:47Yeah.
18:47A little bit, not so much.
18:48Pre-Eisenberg.
18:50Yeah.
18:50Oh, dear, that was a bit harsh.
18:51Right, so the way that it works, then, is that they will shout warnings at people, and
18:55when they shout warnings at people, look, he's already surrendered while they even came in.
18:59Well, I would surrender.
19:00There's nothing wrong with that.
19:01Yeah.
19:01So you can see that...
19:02His hands couldn't get any higher.
19:03Yeah.
19:04You can see that some of them surrender, and then others that haven't surrendered change
19:08their mind once bullets start flying.
19:10Yeah, yeah.
19:11Oh, okay.
19:12Yeah, all right.
19:13So this is actually quite an effective strategy now.
19:15You can see that this is bringing the fight to an end with relatively little death.
19:23Yeah, yeah.
19:24Well, definitely less death.
19:26Definitely less death.
19:27Now, don't forget, this is a full-scale riot, and so, you know, we always use this as our
19:31most extreme case.
19:32Yeah, yeah.
19:33If they've surrendered, they'll stand there for a little bit, and, oh, there you go.
19:36These guys kind of, once they come out of surrender, you can see they're all a bit
19:39like, oh, shit.
19:40Yeah, yeah, they're looking down, aren't they?
19:41They just sort of creep back into their cells in the hope that nothing bad happens.
19:48And so that's one of the key changes that I've made.
19:51Now, interestingly, if I, what I've also done, if we bring the soldiers in, if you remember
20:01from the last Alpha video, if you fail the game, the armed guards get called, sorry, the
20:06National Guard are called to clear out your prison.
20:10Yeah.
20:10So, it's one of those weird things where by making prisoners surrender, it actually makes
20:14the soldiers much more hardcore, like, seem much more hardcore.
20:18Right, because they don't take prisoners.
20:20They do a little bit.
20:21Right.
20:22Right.
20:22But much less.
20:23Much less.
20:24They're a lot less restrained than the armed guards within your own prison.
20:28Yeah, yeah.
20:29That's a nice distinction.
20:31So, they will accept surrender, but you kind of have to surrender quite quickly.
20:39And if you don't surrender quite quickly, if they start shooting at you, even if you
20:42surrender whilst being shot at, they won't really have it.
20:46Yeah, because they've engaged you, so.
20:48So, he did actually surrender halfway through being shot.
20:51Maybe he didn't see it.
20:52Right.
20:52The guy next to him surrendered in time.
20:54The guy that, well, I'd surrender if I didn't have a body.
20:57Yeah, yeah.
21:00That'll be a bug.
21:01They've blown his body away.
21:04All right.
21:05We've got one last big thing to talk about, which is not about Alpha 21.
21:09It is actually about Alpha 22.
21:11Right.
21:11Yes.
21:12So, Alpha 22, then.
21:15Perhaps you should explain what we've decided to do.
21:18I'll explain what we've decided to do.
21:22For us, launching the Alpha process has been quite new.
21:26Well, brand new.
21:27We've never done it before.
21:28And it's changed the way that we've needed to develop.
21:31Now, traditionally, we would develop a game, take us three or four years.
21:35And then at the end of that game, at the end of that period, there would be a phase where
21:39we'd be looking at fixing all the bugs and issues that had come along.
21:43Now, we don't really want to do that for Prison Architect.
21:47We don't want to have to stop releasing Alphas and go dark for sort of six months or something
21:52while we fix all the little annoying issues that maybe our Alpha customers are willing
21:57to tolerate, but that the wider audience wouldn't be.
22:00So, we've decided that we're going to take a month.
22:03And rather than working on any new features or new content or new system development, what
22:08we're going to do is we're going to work through all of the bugs.
22:11Well, as many of the bugs as we can in a month, we won't be able to do.
22:13Not all of them.
22:14No, there's a lot of them in there.
22:17So, we were talking...
22:18Well, we're going to put everyone in the team is going to work on just bug fixing.
22:22That's right.
22:23All the programmers that we've got, including Johnny Nottonfeller.
22:26Yeah.
22:27That's Leander and Gary and Andrew and me.
22:29We're all going to be there just fixing bugs for a whole month.
22:33It's going to be interesting to see what happens.
22:34That's right.
22:35Now, it's going to be different for you as well as a player because rather than one
22:41Alpha build at the end of the month, we're going to be doing regular Alpha builds, maybe
22:45a couple of weeks, that are going to be put out on a Steam test branch so that you can
22:50play and see how the bugs are fixed.
22:52In the bug database in Mantis, we are selecting the bugs to fix that have been prioritized by
22:59you, the community.
23:01And so, Chris is just bringing up Mantis.
23:04Yeah.
23:04And Johnny recently made a video, which is available on our YouTube channel, which explains
23:09how you get your Mantis account and how you affect the bugs that we're looking at fixing.
23:13Yeah.
23:14This is kind of the central place where we go to look at all the bug fixing progress.
23:18This is a list of all the bugs in the game ranked by community.
23:23Okay.
23:23So this bug, injured guards don't seek medical treatment on their own, is the highest ranked
23:28bug amongst our community that have signed up to Mantis.
23:32So what that means is it's the bug that they would most like to see fixed.
23:37But our progress, the way that we're going to do it is we're going to just work down this
23:40list from the top, trying to do our best to come up with solutions and fixes for all of
23:45these bugs.
23:45So that's it from us for the alpha 21 video, just to set your expectations for the next
23:51alpha.
23:51There will be no new features.
23:53It's just going to be bug fixes.
23:54If you're not already involved in Prison Architect, head over to prison-architect.com
23:58and join in, or you can buy Prison Architect on Steam.
24:01We're on Twitter.
24:01We're on YouTube.
24:02I don't know what we're on.
24:03We've got forums.
24:04We've got Mantis, log a bug to communicate with us.
24:06I don't know.
24:07Get in touch and we'll talk to you all in a month.
