02:15One of the biggest elements with DualShock 4 is that it comes with a touchpad,
02:18so you'll be able to point and click even without a mouse.
02:21That's something we're making sure the game is compatible with.
02:23And you can also change how you want to use the controller with different configurations.
02:27You have a fully customisable experience.
02:30I think we managed to use 100% of the potential of DualShock 4.
02:37Also I guess with the PS4 you can live stream your gameplay for the first time on a console
02:41and that really kind of adds to the whole social aspect of the game
02:44which for an MMO is a huge facet of what makes an MMO what it is.
02:48So how important is getting that social aspect of the game across for console users on PS4?
02:59I think there's two points relating to that.
03:01Previously the gaming community tended to be quite closed,
03:04but now these days there's things like eSports out there and people are really enjoying it.
03:07So it's very important to show off your experience and share with other players.
03:11And not only the battle contents.
03:13For example maybe you could create a dance team in the Final Fantasy XIV world
03:16and by using all the different emotes you can create your own dance
03:19and then share that with players all over the world.
03:22I think that would be a great idea.
03:24And of course with PlayStation 4 you can do that with the press of just one button,
03:27which is a new experience and I think a very good thing.
03:30It's something I've always wanted to be able to do as a gamer.
03:32We made sure we owned all the copyright for all the sounds, voice overs and everything
03:36so there are no restrictions on you being able to live stream.
03:39You can stream whatever you like and we fully support gamers sharing and streaming.
03:43Because the second thing to mention is that while sharing is important to the players
03:46it's also important to the publishers too.
03:48There's a very strong PR and marketing element to it.
03:51The more exciting the game is, the player will be sharing these activities
03:54and without us spending a single penny the players who enjoy the live stream
03:58will be interested in having a go.
03:59So the better we make the game, the more people want to share it
04:02and the more people want to play it.
04:04There's a great cycle and flow to it.
04:12So you mentioned the game's coming out on April the 14th.
04:14Are we going to be able to get our hands on it any sooner than that?
04:17Are you running a beta for the PS4 version?
04:24So the game is going to be released on the 14th of April,
04:26but surprisingly the PlayStation 4 itself hasn't been released in Japan yet.

04:33So the 22nd of February which is the release date of PlayStation 4 in Japan
04:37is the date that we're going to start the beta version.
04:39It will be worldwide and of course as it's a beta it's going to be free

04:47Of course I'd like you to buy the game and become a full subscriber
04:50but first of all please try it out and have some fun with the beta.
