00:06Hello again, this is Brian Lindley, producer of Plants vs. Zombies Garden Warfare.
00:10Today we're going to be giving you an extended look at Garden Ops, our online cooperative mode on the Xbox
00:15One.
00:15We're also going to be showing off some of our customized plant characters.
00:21To start off, we're going to be following the Ice Peashooter here, as the plant team establishes their garden base.
00:35Now, once the garden base is planted, the zombie attack will begin en masse.
00:41With the garden planted, the plant team will start to set up their defenses before this first wave.
00:46Peashooter is planting a Daisy Hell Station.
00:50Here we're looking at the Mystical Sunflower.
00:55She's going to plant a Fumeshroom.
01:01And the cactus is going to deploy some walnut barriers.
01:12With the countdown finished, the plants dig in for the first wave.
01:21Let's take a look at the Mystical Sunflower.
01:23Unlike the normal Sunflower, she can hold down the trigger to charge up her primary weapon to do a much
01:29more powerful blast.
01:33Similar to the Mystic Sunflower, the future cactus variant also has a charge up style weapon.
01:38Now, if it's used effectively, it can do a lot of damage in a single shot.
01:41But it's also very effective in short bursts.
01:52Here's a quick look at the Hot Rod Chomper variant.
01:55We'll get back to him in a moment.
02:05Okay, the first wave is complete.
02:07Now the plants are getting ready for wave 2.
02:11Here the Ice Peashooter is using his rooted Gatling attack to thin out the zombie horde from a distance.
02:27Now let's take a closer look at the Hot Rod Chomper variant.
02:30The Hot Rod Chomper has less health than a standard Chomper, but moves much more quickly by default.
02:36And for an added bonus, the Hot Rod Chomper gets a temporary speed boost every time he chomps his army.
02:48We're gonna jump ahead to a boss wave now.
02:51In Garden Ops, every 3-4 waves, Dr. Zomboss' slot machine will spin randomly to determine what enemies will appear
02:59in the next wave.
03:09Looks like we're getting a Disco Zombie and a random assortment of zombie horde in this next wave.
03:21To start this wave, the Mystic Sunflower is gonna tangle with the Disco Zombie.
03:42Let's jump ahead in the action and have a look at the Ice Peashooter.
03:46The Ice Peashooter shoots frozen snow peas, which will freeze a zombie after a few consecutive shots.
03:52This is a pretty powerful tactic as it allows the Ice Peashooter to immobilize an enemy and his teammates to
03:58finish the job.
04:16Working as a team is crucial when battling bosses. Here the Peashooter, the Chomper, and the Sunflower are ganging up
04:23on the Disco Zone.
04:35Back to the Feature Cactus now, deploying some Walnut Barriers for cover.
04:39And her charged attack on another Disco Zombie.
05:01Now the other plants are gonna join the fray to help finish him on.
05:11With the boss wave complete, the plants can now regroup and get ready for the next wave.
05:25It looks like they're gonna have to deal with a surprise attack from the zombie footballers.
05:29Every so often in Garden Ops, Dr. Zombosh will unleash an ambush wave using special classes of zombies.
05:36These zombie footballers are a handful. The plants need to stay on the moon and try to take them down
05:41quickly.
05:56Feature Cactus is using her charged attack again to take out some footballers, but they just keep coming.
06:16The Mystic Sunflower is multi-tasking by healing the cactus and taking down a footballer at the same time.
06:30One of the plants was just knocked out by a footballer.
06:33His plant teammates have a limited amount of time to get him up and revive him.
06:36If all the plants get knocked down at the same time, they fail the mission and will need to start
06:41again.
06:47Looks like they managed to repel this surprise attack.
07:05We're gonna jump forward a bit to another boss wave.
07:21The plants are gonna have their hands full as the Zomboss slots landed on a Giga Gargantuar, Yeti and a
07:27Disco Zombie.
07:32The cactus is deploying her garlic drone to get a better view of the action.
07:35Since Rat wave 10, the zombie assault has really intensified, with several powerful zombie classes all attacking at once.
07:52Jumping back to the Peashooter now, picking off some zombies with the help of an ice room and a fumes
07:56room.
07:57The Peashooter heads up to the treehouse to get a better view of his teammates battling the Giga Gargantuar.
08:10The Giga Gargantuar just smashed the Chomper, so the Peashooter uses his hyperspeed ability to get to the Chomper quickly
08:16and revive it.
08:20And he just barely gets out of there with his luck.
08:25Looking back from the treehouse, the Sunflower is using her rooted Sunbeam attack to finally finish off the Giga Gargantuar.
08:36She then jumps down to street level to heal the ailing Peashooter.
08:53The zombies keep pressing nonetheless. She gets some quick healing and retreats back to the garden.
09:00With the zombies closing in, the cactus retreats back toward the garden to try and secure the base with her
09:05teammates.
09:17The plants still have to deal with the Yeti and Disco Zombie bosses.
09:21So now they've regrouped, they head out for the last push to finish off this wave.
09:29The Ice Peashooter engages with a Disco Zombie, but ends up getting stunned by the Yeti's freeze attack.
09:41The Yeti ice attacks will freeze plants and do a lot of damage, so the plant team needs to work
09:45as a team to take the Yeti out.
10:04After a flurry of frosty attacks, the plant team finally manages to defeat the Yeti zombie and complete wave 10.
10:15The plants have defended the garden for 10 waves. This last wave requires them to survive and fight their way
10:21to the landing zone, where Crazy Dave will pick them up in his flying RV.
10:33This final wave is absolute chaos, as Dr. Zomboss unleashes his whole army to try and keep the plants from
10:40escaping.
10:57Grab some friends and try out Garden Ops when Plants vs. Zombies Garden Warfare comes out this February on Xbox
11:03One and Xbox 360.
