00:17Justin, Plants vs Zombies Garden Warfare has a 12 vs 12 multiplayer mode, so I guess,
00:22if you want to win, you've got to play as a team.
00:23You have to put together a great team. You have to use team tactics and character choice
00:29is really important.
00:30Let's talk about the Plants. What have we got?
00:33Peace Shooter is a run and gun specialist.
00:35Likes to take the fight to the enemy.
00:36La Sunflower è la planta di healer, so she tries to stay in behind her fellow plants and keep them
00:41in the fight.
00:41La Chomper è più di un schieno, mille kind of character, so he really tries to catch the enemy by
00:46surprise.
00:47La Cactus è la range specialist, so she really tries to keep a distance from the enemy and take them
00:51down.
00:51So for someone that's played other shooters, how would you best relate these character types to types people might have
00:56played in other games?
00:57The Peashooter is like a standard assault class, the Sunflower you might find is a medic,
01:04the Cactus is more of a range specialist, like a Sniper or Recon, and the Chomper is more of a
01:09melee class.
01:10What's your ideal combination there?
01:12I might do what I call the Chomper Blix, which is convince everybody in the next round to spawn as
01:18the Chomper immediately.
01:19Overloading on Chompers very early will catch them off guard and you'll be able to really rack up a lot
01:24of Vanquishes really quickly.
01:26So what's a good all-round ratio of character types within a team?
01:28Well, I think you want to have at least half the team as Peashooters because they're your assault specialist,
01:33they're going to bring the pain to the zombies.
01:35I think you probably want about two to three Sunflowers, a couple of Chompers and a couple of Cactus to
01:41support them.
01:43So for someone that's familiar with other shooters, how would you relate these zombie classes to things they'll be familiar
01:48with?
01:49Sure, so the Soldier is your typical assault character.
01:51He should be very easy to pick up and play, especially for new players.
01:53His rocket jump is great at getting him above the action, allows him to look down and kind of pick
01:58off some wayward plants.
01:59The Engineer is definitely a support type character.
02:02He can build turrets, he can build teleporters, and he can stun other plants.
02:07If you're playing as the Engineer, you want to kind of hang back from the battle a little bit, use
02:10your support abilities, you know, give him some breathing room.
02:12For the Scientist, you want to stay at the front line.
02:14His Goo Blaster is very, very damaging up close.
02:17He's a little bit like a Scout in that he's very fast, can get into the battle very quickly and
02:20do a lot of damage with a shotgun.
02:21But he also has a healing station, so he is the zombie's healer, and how you choose to play him
02:26kind of determines how that goes.
02:27So how would you relate that to something that someone might be familiar with in other games?
02:31It's not quite a shooter trope, but he's more like a battle mage.
02:33He's very, very powerful, but he can also heal his teammates.
02:36Finally, the All-Star, what's that all about?
02:37The All-Star is a bit of a tank.
02:39He has very high health, he has a very fast-firing weapon, and he can kind of lay down suppressing
02:43fire for his teammates to advance.
02:45His sprint tackulability allows him to clear the objective really effectively, and his football cannon, with his fast rate of
02:50fire, can lay down a lot of suppressing fire.
02:52If you're going to have a team, what's the best ratio of zombie classes to have?
02:55For me, it's finding that right balance between assault and kind of the more support-type characters.
03:00Five or six soldiers on one team, and then backing them up with a couple of engineers, a couple of
03:04scientists, a couple of All-Stars.
03:06But reacting to the changing tide of battle, that's key.
03:09It's being aware, communicating, changing your roles to kind of compensate for what the plants are doing.
03:14If you can keep doing that, you'll have a lot of success.
03:16So if you're a big PVZ fan and you've only ever played the Tower Defense game, what's the best way
03:20to jump into this game?
03:21Who should you play as first?
03:22The Soldier's probably the easiest character to pick up and play on the zombie side.
03:25He's relatively straightforward in his abilities.
03:27He's fast, he's kind of good at everything.
03:28And what's your favorite weapon? What's your number one?
03:30The Soldier Tank Commander.
03:32He fires an explosive round.
03:33One shot, very damaging, but if you're accurate, very, very powerful.
