00:03Hi, my name is Brian Lindley, I'm the producer for Plants vs. Zombies Garden Warfare.
00:06I'm going to be doing a little commentary over 24 player Team Vanquish action from our recent press events.
00:19All right, to start off we're looking at the all-star of the zombie team.
00:28Now, the all-star is kind of like the heavy. He's got a big powerful zombie cannon as his primary
00:33weapon.
00:40Now, here the zombie is going to use his exploding imp hunt.
00:48Now, the imp hunt is a fan imp that's been laced with the explosive.
00:52Bounces a couple of times before exploding hilariously, taking out plants.
01:01Here he is combining the football cannon with his powerful sprint tackle attack.
01:06Whenever he's got plants in front of him, he can unleash that for a powerful knockback and damaging blow.
01:14He saw the potato mine there, backed away and let his teammate take the hit.
01:25And the all-star got caught in a corn missile strike, called in by the garlic drone.
01:30Here we are looking at the engineer. This is his welder variant.
01:33He just jumped on the jackhammer. The jackhammer allows him to move up quickly and around the battlefield very fast.
01:45He can also fire his primary weapon. It does a lot of damage on the move.
01:50Now, the welder variant does a little bit of fire damage with each attack.
01:54So, you see the plants? They have some fire on them every time they get hit.
02:06Now, here's an example of the engineer's drone. Now, the engineer can fly this drone over the battlefield.
02:11You see it has a laser-style kind of pulse weapon, so he can shoot at plants down below.
02:31The engineer just got caught in a spikeweed. Spikeweed is a trap laid down by the chomper on the plant
02:36team.
02:46Here we are on the drone again, calling on zomb bomb strikes. You see those bombs hitting the top of
02:52that car there? Those will take out a lot of plants.
03:03All right, now we're taking a look at the scientists. Now, these are some of our favorite customization options for
03:07the scientists.
03:08Now, there will be dozens more options than this in the final game. Funny shark head and monocle. Always good
03:13for a laugh.
03:13All right, now the scientist is the healer class of the zombie team. You see those big healing stations spewing
03:19out purple goo? Those heal any nearby zombies.
03:30The scientist has some pretty cool abilities. You see his warp right there. It allows him to warp ahead 10
03:35-15 meters.
03:41Now, here we're looking at the marine biologist varying to the scientist.
03:46His primary weapon has changed slightly. It's a dolphin that spews fish guts. A little bit like a shotgun.
03:54There he is, getting taken out by the chomper.
04:00Now, the scientist just threw his sticky explodey ball. If he'll stick to the world, he'll also stick to enemies
04:05before exploding. It's a bit like a proximity mine.
04:22Now, the scientist is really powerful when he combines his warp ability with his primary weapon,
04:27allowing him to warp forward, do some hit and run attacks, and warp out.
04:40Now, the scientist is most effective at short range. You see he's trying to take out that cactus there, just
04:45not doing it at long range. His weapon can't do it.
04:59Oops. Stepped on another potato mine.
05:03So, now we're looking at the foot soldier. This is a variant of his called the Camo Ranger.
05:07Now, he just did his rocket jump there with a ZPG strike right at the end.
05:14And here he is throwing his stink cloud grenade. It's basically like a smoke grenade. It's great for creating cover
05:19and diversions.
05:28Now, the Camo Ranger's primary weapon has a little bit more range than the default foot soldier weapon.
05:33It doesn't shoot quite as fast, but it does a bit more damage.
05:36So, here's one of our favorite new tactics is using the rocket jump and then firing the ZPG at the
05:40height of your jump.
05:43So, now we're taking a look at the P-Shooter wearing the Agent P costume.
05:49Now, here's a clever use of the chili bean ability, catching an unsuspecting scientist from behind.
05:56Now, the Agent P has a suppressed, silenced P cannon. Here's the P-Shooter using his hyper ability to get
06:01in close for the next attack.
06:24You see a cluster of zombies over there, surrounded by healing stations. It's gonna be hard to take anyone out
06:24in that situation.
06:24Now, here's the P-Shooter using the Gatling attack again.

06:31out in that situation.
06:35So now we're looking at the cactus. This one's got some pretty funny customizations. Pretty crazy hat, ice cream cones
06:41for hands and some pretty neat camouflage.
06:46Her primary weapon is a needle shot. It's got good zoom, good range.
06:51Now there she is deploying the walnut barrier and some potato mines. Those are great for sort of creating traps
06:56and cover for yourself in a pinch.
07:04They fire it pretty rapidly so it can do a lot of damage in short bursts.
07:08Now here's a view from the cactus's garlic drone. Now like the engineer drone, the garlic drone can fly above
07:13the battlefield, shooting needles down.
07:15You can also call in pouring missile strikes.
07:21Now we're seeing a variant of the cactus called the Ice Cactus.
07:23Again, her weapon works pretty much the same except it has freezing properties.
07:27So a couple consecutive hits on zombies will slow them to a halt, making them easy to take out.
07:53And she got caught by the All-Star's imp hunt right there. And there was the All-Star partially frozen.
08:00Now here we are looking at the garlic drone again. Just called in a corn missile strike. You can see
08:04the popcorn firing over there.
08:13Alright, now we've got the Chomper with some pretty crazy customization options.
08:21Now the Chomper is using the Goop ability. Now the Goop will slow down zombies, but in combination with the
08:26Burrow ability, it allows the Chomper to burrow underneath the feet of zombies and chomp them from below.
08:31So now we're looking at the Sunflower, the healer of the plant team. This is the Power Flower variant of
08:36the Sunflower.
08:40Now there she just deployed a Marigold Pot. Now you see that Marigold Pot will deploy Sun Drops and heal
08:45any nearby teammates.
08:46And those beams between her and the other Sunflowers and plant teammates, those are heal beams. That is direct healing
08:51of plant teammates in battle.
08:57Sunflowers are very powerful when grouped together.
09:02Here she is using her Sunbeam ability, which is a rooted ability where she can't move, but she has a
09:06more powerful attack.
09:19And that's 24 player Team Vanquish in Plants vs. Zombies Garden Warfare.
